I am going to move the CE&P forum into The Vault shortly. That effectively means the politics forum will be shutting down though the content will still be available to read (but not reply to).
CE&P started off fine and things for the most part were pretty level-headed and considerate but over the past few weeks it has devolved into every other online political discussion.
- People bashing other posters, not talking/debating the actual issue at hand
- People reporting posts because they don't like the considerately expressed opinion
- People reporting posts because poster X is a Y supporter and how dare they
- All the conspiratorial horseshit that comes along with moderating on civility in a political forum (we are Trump supporters, we are suppressing Trump supporters) and all this in a forum that's obviously mostly left-leaning people.
Simply put we are increasingly using far too much of our limited resources to manage this off-topic area. So as I said when this started, maybe it was going to work and maybe it wasn't but we will try it. It worked until it didn't.
I know this will disappoint some CE&P regulars and I apologize for that but it was affecting our whole management system and we are a TV discussion site first. If you have an existing report or issue in the CE&P, consider it dead.

It didn't come across in the movie but from the prequel novel you learn that Galen's team was just one of a bunch of separate teams -- each working in secret, not knowing about the others -- building various parts of the Death Star.
In the data room when Jyn is reading off various project names, some of those are the other projects. So I assume Scarif is where the ingredients are mixed.

LOL I'm stealing that. The start of the film was way too busy (and felt like that's what the crawl is for) but after it settled down somewhat I really did enjoy it. I liked the line they walked with the computer displays. Retro but not completely Vic-20. Felt right.
The also didn't name Planet Iceland at the start which is weird since it is named in Catalyst. Pick a lane title card decider! I'm glad I read Catalyst first. The Galen-Orson dynamic is richer for it. You get only the smallest glimpse of it in a flashback (drinks with Orson).
I also hated the actual Rogue One title card. That looked jank as hell. YOU CAN'T STROKE TRAJAN PRO! The font is too thin! This completes the graphic designer-Star Wars fan venn diagram portion of my post. Good day.

I'd like to just see how various parts of the nation and world dealt with it at version parts in the timeline. 3-4 episodes. The executive office of the U.S. government. A prepper family in Australia. etc etc. A bit like the World War Z novel I suppose.

Canadian Smarties are like a really shitty version of plain M&Ms. There's also UK Smarties which in theory are the same thing as Canadian Smarties but are in fact better tasting (but still not as good as M&Ms). All those that disagree are wrong.

There's a few minutes during the Canon where my audio cuts out. Not sure what happened during the export of the episode to make that happen but I've re-exported it with the missing audio now in there. It is now ehg-133b.mp3.
To get this audio file if you've downloaded the old one (from before 12:15pm or Tuesday Oct 25), delete it, refresh the feed and redownload. The audio in question was 1:19:10 to 1:21:45.
