1. THIS:) Also is there anyone anywhere that think there is any chance whatsoever that Deacon didn't survive? NO! Right now he is carrying the show. What a crappy cliffhanger?
2. Also why hasn't Rayna stepped in??? What is she doing?
3. I haven't seen those interviews but I completely believe you. The other thing I take issue with is the Svengali scenarios. I agree they exist but I don't view this relationship as one. It's not like Jeff discovered Layla singing in a dimly lit bar and has nurtured her talent to stardom. It's the opposite, he stifled her career at Edgehill and now he continues to. He illegally released her single in itunes (big deal) and got her an interview with a no-name blogger. Quite frankly Layla could have done the same for herself with a tumblr account. Jeff was a CEO, are we really supposed to believe he doesn't have better connections? I haven't researched the contract thing either but it sounds ludicrous and unnecessary for the plot because a 7 year contract would be just as horrible for someone starting out.
4. Well I will give Will one thing...he has been smart enough to stay clear of H65.
5. Yes, they don't view as abusive they view it as passionate love story between two flawed people. However that is not the way it is coming across on camera. Also what about Layla's lifetime contract???? I am sorry but does that even exist??? I am thinking it doesn't.
6. My only comment on the finale...which I am sure has been said by everyone at some point is this show is SO poorly written. The characters are so inconsistent and plots are dropped all of the place. One of the biggest dropped plots in H65. Rayna has three artists (or did have Sadie, Layla, Juliette). Jeff is doing everything for Layla. Juliette had to leave the label to get representation and Sadie left. What is going on over there, that they cannot handle three people. Why didn't Bucky go to see Layla when there were all these issues instead of just calling. I don't know if Bucky is supposed to look incompetent or what. Lame cliffhanger...Deacon isn't dying and none of us care about Beverly. Luke and Jeff are friends? Since when? Why is Luke so hurt after her fired Jeff that Jeff didn't tell him Will is gay? This makes NO sense. Why would Juliette go straight to Jeff instead of going directly to Luke? They don't. I just read an interview regarding it. They do admit there is a weird dynamic but that is about it. They don't refer to it as abusive at all. They also state that both characters need each other and that isn't true either
7. The writers don't have any idea how it looks...I think they are going for a sort of Blair and Chuck vibe. The problem is that the two actors don't have any chemistry together, the HUGE age difference, Layla's prior suicidal tendencies, the fact that Jeff essentially left her to die a season ago, and the fact that she is completely dependent on him. This is literally an abusive relationship...not love/hate...not two manipulative people with equal power battling it out, but an actual abusive relationship...without the hitting...YET. Because its always possible that is where things could go. In addition, I don't see any strong feelings of love coming from either of them-so what are we supposed to believe is keeping them together?
8. Wow a lot to say about this episode. First so happy Juliette is back:) I loved her yelling at Jade. Who bids 500,000 on someone that barely know? She did it to piss off Juliette and then she got pissed off Juliette. Love Will and Kevin:) Ehh to Jade and Luke...this seems forced and I am starting to like Luke and I already hate Jade. I have never been a fan of Layla and Jeff and I still am not. Jeff speaks to Layla horribly. It really sketches me out how many people think this is acceptable or that this is a love story. I am not the biggest fan of Layla's character because the writing has always been so sketchy with her. However I do think she deserves better than that loser. Rayna has him pegged. Everything is about Jeff. Jade could be the biggest schemer on the planet but she is super star offering Layla a shot at some exposure. As her manager, she could have taken it and he could have negotiated a good contract and looked out for her. In addition, since when do managers flat out tell people they work for "no" like they are their dad. Girl needs to get away from that crap. Poor Deacon:( OMG What is wrong with Teddy?
9. I am wondering about this as well. Unlike most people, I am iffy on Rayna and Deacon together. It's not like I don't think they have chemistry because I do. However, I don't like it when television shows have endgame couples. I think it completely limits the writing plotwise. A lot of television shows do this and try to stick with it through the course of the show and all it does is create poor writing. Also, it limits the potential chemistry actors could have with future characters and makes any storyline the actor has romantically with someone else seem contrived. Rayna's whole relationship with Luke felt like a plot device to keep her and Deacon apart. To me, the writing on this show is touch and go as it is. I would love to see them as a functional couple trying to make it work but I don't think that will happen on a show like this one until the series finale.
10. Love Deacon and Rayna. Luke didn't for once annoy me.

My take on Jeff and Layla

I agree they are more interesting to watch but the reason is because their relationship is toxic and we are wondering who will screw the other over first? My money is on Layla. I don't care for her character and I still think they will change her again when it suits them but I think she will get big and decide she doesn't need Jeff. But this is not a love story. That is why it's working, when they tried to sell it that way it didn't work. Jeff has no power and he is using what little he has on Layla. Right now, it's fine because she needs him but when she doesn't she will tire of his insults and turn on him. Jeff is still Jeff insulting her left and right like he does
11. LOL buy a better looking hat. There is no way the label took his house in 24 hours even if they provided it. He would still need to move out.
12. Reading Zombie...ohhh I want to play, here are my comments Gunnar: This guy has gotten soooo pathetic...when he burned his families' pictures and made that comment he used to see smiling faces but all he saw were lies...I officially wrote him and this wreck of a storyline off. Avery and Juliette: Still the best part of show, need to see more of them and less of everyone else. Luke: Ugghh. Agree with whoever said that the more they show of Luke the less I like him. He has the depth of a cookie sheet. Plus, I still hate for that song he wrote about Rayna "Good Woman"...that he thought was complimentary and wasn't. Layla: Is every annoying television, movie, book character, witness on Law and Order Special Victim's unit rolled into one. She literally cannot go one minute on the screen without whining about something or someone. Teddy: Poor Teddy, what he always this stupid? Will: Is like an after school (the groundhog's day version) Rayna: Season 1 Rayna is finally back and I am glad to see her and her big hair Zoe: LOL Just kidding, glad she's gone Sadie: Lifetime Original Movie Deacon: I mean I love Deacon even though he needed to tell Rayna that he was sick two episodes ago Scarlett: Extreme makeover but actually really loving her this season. Jeff: Ugghh why are you living Layla's, what happened to your mansion??? Why do you keep agreeing to meet Teddy?
13. I don't think Rayna's that great at her job. If this weren't television, H65 would have folded long ago. Some stuff is coming down the pike for Jeff's character that will give him more of backstory for the way he is...I think they are just trying to even out his character
14. I don't think Bucky will die, I think that all that fighting with Rayna indicates it won't work out with him in the position I totally think that is where they are going. Rayna started H65 to get away Edgehill but they specifically stated in this episode that Edgehill was all about the bottom line now...ie..Jeff was just doing his job. And they are purposely making Luke look like the bad guy. Then they had Rayna promote Bucky but clearly he has no idea what type of talent she wants and then they went out of their way to have Jeff send Layla there because he specifically knows what Rayna is looking for. I think they will team up eventually. I can't stand Layla so her with anyone annoys me. Just this episode alone she annoyed me several times. Jeff is her new Will. She gets in these relationships where she isn't on equal footing. She expected Will to help with her career and now Jeff is stuck in that position.
15. Jeff is going to get Bucky's job at H65- calling it
16. He was fired by Jeff for making Will feel uncomfortable. Brent was never a manager, he worked for Edgehill/Jeff I thought
17. Okay wow this episode was kind of a mess. Not like a horrible episode just all over the place. I don't even know where to start. The best part of the episode was Avery and it devolved from there. I'm not sure I really care about Luke's new company. I mean Luke seems like a savvy businessman I'm just not sure I really care what goes on with it. So a little hard getting invested in that. Also the name is ridiculous. Does anyone else think that Luke's feelings for Rayna only seemed real after they broke up? I felt bad for Will I feel like the only reason he signed with Luke is because Jeff knew about his secret. I wonder who on the show is going out him. I feel like it will be Jeff but I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt...not sure why he doesn't deserve it. I don't know how I feel about Layla signing with Highway 65. I honestly just don't care about her and her character. She either annoys me or I just don't care those are always my feelings about her. I think the show is making a big mistake focusing too much on her because she's really just not that interesting and she is soooo annoying. I'm not even going to talk about her relationship with Jeff because it's just cringe worthy for some reason. Who asks someone who just lost their job and life...where this relationship is going? Jeff really got what he has coming to him. First I thought he was unnecessarily nasty to Teddy. Quite frankly Teddy and Jeff as friends is the one relationship I bought. Also it's nice to see that he still blaming everyone for being fired except himself. He still doesn't see what he did was wrong. The fact that Luke just turned around and screwed him over shows me that these two are birds of a feather. Also agreeing to manage someone when you're sleeping with them...this is going to be a huge disaster!!! I would not trust Layla with my future...something about her is off. Teddy and the prostitute why is this plot still going on???? I wish Rayna would listen more to Bucky on Highway 65 business. Everything he says makes sense and she always just does what she wants to do. Does anyone think Jeff representing Layla will lead to him working for Highway 65? All the stuff with Deacon just seemed thrown in... Overall though there's just a bunch of storylines I just don't care about right now.
18. it was a dumb plan Rayna and Jeff are very similiar its why they don't like each other
