I'm sorry that the Daytime Emmys are supposed to be a way of rewarding participants in this genre because each year it becomes more and more of a farce and embarrassment. There are only four soaps left so it's not hard to see all of them and be aware of who's doing good work and who is failing abysmally at their task. The fans know what's up with these shows, obviously the Emmy judges are clueless. Every year I'm astounded by the choices made.

Watching Robert and Anna today got me choked up. It was nice feeling an emotion while watching GH. It's been quite a while.
I think New Valerie is a good actress and I think she makes a good cop but not a new Valerie Spencer. If the writers try to pursue a romance between Val and Krissy it won't work, Krissy's immaturity won't combine with this woman's sensibility. She"'ll end up wasted by these writers like Brytni Sarpy was. (I can report Brytni is doing well over at Y&R).

This is my kind of show. I hope it doesn't go wrong like True Blood and Penny Dreadful. They really hurt my feelings.

I'm not feeling Lulu. I know that I should, considering all the drama she's been through, but I just want her to shut up and go get some help. I'm not interested in any post Dante romance that she might have or anything else she might do. Lulu, Sonny, Carly, Jason, Margo, and Kristina are all characters who hold no interest for me and just waste airtime. I especially resent time spent praising Sonny when just yesterday he and Hit man were talking about getting rid of Cult Leader.
Julian gave Krissy $10k? OMG.
I was on the verge of enjoying the 56th anniversary episode but the omission of flashbacks to accompany the various scenes and the inclusion of Sonny and Carly messed it up.

He kicked y'all to the curb. He came to us voluntarily and although the writers haven't valued him as they should we still deserve good things and Billy is one of the few good things we have. Please leave him be. He may be our only hope against the Corinthos Apocalypse.

I understand you all wanting Billy Miller back but as a GH watcher let me say that we need him in Port Charles. He is one of the few joys we have there. You guys have Peter Bergman, quit being greedy.

Thinking about Barnabas made me smile.
Being a fairly recent viewer I'm at a loss for conversations about Adam Chloe and Kevin but I'm a quick study and I plan to pay close attention to the forums and learn what I can.

I don't want Billy to go. I like Drew.
Maybe GT could be a less obnoxious Nina. The Sascha reveal needs to play out in a unhurried way.
This BTS stuff is so much better than the on-screen stories.

Recently Days brought back the character of Diana Cooper, originally played by Genie Francis now played by Judith Chapman. In the PreviouslyTV Days forums there was nothing but love for Genie's portrayal. Not legendary but much admired.

It is really good to have Dante back. Seems like the WSB should provide counseling for its traumatized agents but I guess not based on all the challenged former agents in PC.
Hopefully we'll get this Shiloh story tied up quickly. I know that's not a realistic expectation at this point but there is too much Krissy and Jason. The Shiloh actor is talented but wasted. I really wanted him to sleep with Alexis so Krissy's head would explode but no such luck.
I like the idea of Kevin and Ava bonding in misery.
In fact it looks like everyone is going to be miserable for a while. I can't think of any positive stories going forward. Can you?

Griffin didn't phase me one way or the other but I'm so relieved that we didn't get the implied Fight Club story. At some point it would've involved Sonny, jock extraordinaire, no thank you.

It was good to see Dante. Too bad his future on screen partners (Sonny and Girl Reporter) are so annoying.
Shiloh stuff is so boring, he's a good actor but everything surrounding him is snooze worthy. I will never care about what happens to Krissy and Jason is a turd so this SL is a complete waste of time.
There is really nothing to look forward to, is there? I wanted to see Ava's reaction to the Ryan reveal and it was everything I needed. I can wait to be notified about Sasha, Wylie, Oscar and any other pending stuff. I guess I'm saying I'm not at all engaged by the majority of what's being presented. I'm not blaming the actors, I'm blaming the writers.

Just read that Jed Allan passed. He played Don Craig on Days, Edward Quartermaine on GH, and C.C. Caldwell on my beloved Santa Barbara. RIP.
Just thought old school soap watchers would want to know.

Currently watching and enjoying Autumn Dreams (2015). I'm hoping the male lead doesn't decide to move back to Iowa forsaking the evils of big city life. Very tired of that cliche.

Secret tunnel? Nope.

Port Charles has a mob boss, a hit man, and 2 serial killers, yet the city is overrun by annoying pests. Carly, Lulu, and Kristina. Not to mention Lucy Coe. At the very least they should be detained in a secure room in Ferncliff's basement until they yammer and bitch each other to death.
I wonder why both GH and Days are doing stories with serial killers in love and Y&R and Days have stories about men wrapped in rugs and buried. I'm not sure about B&B (some of their faces are too scary to watch). Have the writers run out of ideas? It's odd that the duplicate stories are running concurrently. Perhaps we should be judging who's doing what best?

Absolutely right Ambrosefolly. When Sonny arrived everyone's intelligence quotient had to be downgraded 50%. I believe the commissioner you referred to was Bert Ramsey, decent guy until the writers corrupted him.
If Jordan survives she should be fired for this half assed scheme. And while she's purging Mayor Laura should dump the useless Margo also. What is her purpose? Her vendetta against Sonny is over, she gave up the Drew memory thing, she doesn't interact with other citizens, so what is she for? Reading the cult book doesn't count for anything. Just because she had a thing with BM in Genoa City doesn't mean it flies in PC. Every time they try that it doesn't work. Patch and Kayla, nope. Mason and Julia, nope. That love won't cross the PC city limits.

Count me in as another viewer who snickerred at Jason's fall down the steps, with his gun drawn. I was hoping he would shoot himself but we do not live in a right universe. Do the writers realize how comedic this show is?
I've been trying to hold back on negative comments about nuJordan but she's just not working as police commissioner or Curtis's true love. The writers are providing no assistance to her. Has PC ever had a competent police commissioner?
