I had thought GH had completely given up on giving the Davis girls major material; I assume this recast with a popular soap star means I was wrong.

I don't hate Mansi but I think Lexi Ainsworth deserved more of a shot at bigger story. I assume GH will now develop total amnesia about Kristina being bi, as Mansi is what passes as a big daytime name in this day and age and they avoid controversial frontburner material like the plague.

Ugh, I mostly found Mansi unbearable during my brief stints watching Days, and Kristina as a character has often bugged.

And 100% agree on the show forgetting that Kristina's bi with Mansi in the role.

  2. The "Again With This" podcast has hit Dan Gauthier's (Kevin Buchanan) arc on "Melrose Place:

On one hand, this stint, IIRC, lasts longer than his "Beverly Hills, 90210" run as Steve's druggie friend.  On the other, he's stuck with Brooke Langton's Samantha, who IMO was the pivot point away from peak "Melrose Place".

  3. Caleb being Frank Tate's son is kinda interesting, if a smidge conveient that a Dingle and a Tate mated all those years ago to create this hybrid.  It also reminded me of the Joe Tate reveal years ago, which I found more satisfying and fun.

  4. Our own Sarah Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, is on the big screen this weekend in "Scream VI", reprising her fan-favorite role from 2011's "Scream 4".  Saw it last night, very satisfying installment in the franchise and Panettiere gets some fun stuff to play.

  5. Scott Evans (Oliver Fish) was recently a guest star on "The Rookie: Feds", which is of course a spin-off of the series starring Nathan Fillion (Joey Buchanan).

Unfortunately, he doesn't get any scenes with Niecy Nash, and there's something low-flow happening with his hair:

That [Cramers vs. Bukes at BE/CE] could have been gold, especially if at some point members of both families ended up being forced to work together on the board (while plotting against each other, naturally!).

Imagine Dorian trying to reel in a reluctant Natalie, who was on the outs with the Bukes at this point.

It occurred to me in the shower today (look, it's a slow week) that the timeframe would fit for Dorian to have hidden away any potential child of Kevin and Cassie's.

I'd be into it, at the very least because it would make Kelly unhappy.

I wish that Liesl had decided to find out what's up with Carly and Drew herself instead of telling Nina to find out. It would be a good distraction after Britt's death and with Liesl doing it herself, something actually might get done. Also because Nina is already hated enough by the Carlys and their pack and Liesl wouldn't care if they hated  her.

Truly, slapping on a kicky wig and dedicating herself to destroying Carly would certainly cheer Liesl up, and us in the audience as well!

It is funny that Liesl's all salty about Liz because she takes up some of Scotty's time.  Girl, remember that time Liz (unwisely) mouthed off to you and then you took her hostage in her own home and ate all her cereal?

A thought I had today - it's kinda interesting that former paramours Laura and Scotty have, through separate relationships, become Liz's defacto parental figures in the wake of The Parents Liz being such disasters.

It is funny to think about how hard they leaned into making not!Todd so palatable after the Grossening that they brought fucking Powell and Rebecca back, crazier than before, but didn't do that with Suede. Which, again, just shows how little anyone cared about him at all.

And Zach too, wasn't he a red herring and kidnapped Starr or something?

Also, I must mention again, I mourn what could have been if Reiko or a good recast of Rebecca had been mixed in with Kyle and Fish.

The lack of Lucas, especially, in the Wiley story was inexplicable. There was barely any lip-service paid to him, either.

Made all the more infurating by Shelly Altman bragging about how they were being so groundbreaking and progressive with Lucas and Brad because they were gay characters whose story wasn't about BEING gay.  This was a classic, soapy, family story that really would have done wonders for Lucas, but Lucas was invisible in it.

Suede Pruitt is a whole other situation, lol. It is beyond me why the show put Marty with him vs. the many other eligible men I just mentioned. He had a very convoluted Southern gothic backstory with Luna, but while that worked for Michael Malone sometimes Suede just did not for me.

What a name, Suede Pruitt.  I'm surprised there wasn't some kind of retcon where Suede slipped on a banana peel and poor, innocent Todd didn't kill him after all.
