Yeah, say what you want about Anna's beliefs, but the woman has excellent time management skills. She's arguably the busiest mom of all of them, between not only having the most kids, but also being the only one who is substantially homeschooling her kids as several of hers are older children, whereas most of the others primarily have infants and toddlers as offspring. Yes, Mack is arguably old enough to help out, but she still attends homeschool, and Anna has alluded in the past that she does not employ the buddy system with her own kids. So it wouldn't be far-fetched for Anna to take it on herself.

I don't think anyone else will have quite the same skills other than maybe Kendra, but to Kendra's disadvantage, she's having her babies closer together than Anna did. When Anna had three kids, Mack was almost four, which is quite different from the first born being age two as is the case with Garrett.

We'll see what happens with Joy. Her children are still pretty young, and Joy doesn't strike me as high-maintenance, so I don't see her as the type that will stick readily to structure, even if the intention is there.

Doesn’t Anna have a “helper” that she hides from the cameras? And I think she mostly sends her kids to the TTH “school” to be “taught” by Bin. I could be wrong 🤷‍♀️. And she may do a good job of posing  and dressing up her kids for SM, but that’s all fakery. I just can’t respect disingenuous BS.

I never realized this was an unpopular opinion, but I honestly don't mind nicknames and really don't care if she would rather go by Katey versus Kate. Same with Jed! versus Jedidiah.

I side-eye the spelling of Katey versus Katie more, to be honest, but if that's what she prefers, it's fine with me. It's not my name, so no skin off my teeth.

I’m pretty sure mine is the unpopular opinion. Most people seem to love nicknames. I’ve just always been prickly and weird. 🙂

Why not go by Kate? Especially when she is going to be a mother next year.

I don’t go by a cutesy nickname since elementary school.

Why go by a nickname at all? I prefer Kateyn, anyway. Have I told you how much I usually hate nicknames? 🤣

  4. This is from FB, in case I’m not the only one who will NEVER watch any of this.

Well, the secret wedding of Jed and Katey is over. They cut the livestream after the vows and after Jed and Katey walked off the stage to prepare for some Baptist fundie version of communion. I only know communion through the ancient Catholic tradition so I'm not sure what they were up to. The video did not return for the first kiss. Whatever... The video, half the wedding, is up to rewatch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nn8uVCTK6Fghalf

I dictated Jed's vows here for all to enjoy. Katey's are basically the same except she added in all the submissive crap that often leads to abuse for women. The transcript may have some small errors but I tried.

Jed: "Katey, In Genesis we read therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife. And they too shall be one flesh (sexy time). God has ordained that the husband shall be the head of the wife. He instructs me as the one who will be your husband, to love unconditionally, as Christ loved the church. Apart from Christ, I cannot love you, listen to you, or protect you as I should. Naturally, I would focus on my own needs instead of yours. With Christ and by His grace, I found to be your humble spiritual leader, to be a man of the word, to remain faithful to you to stay open with you. Encourage you protect you. Listen to your needs and love you, whether you are healthy, sick, rich or poor and or old. It's my desire and delight to follow scriptural teachings in growing God's word together. As long as we both shall live, on my heart I make these vows to you."

My favorite part is their thinking that without Christ all men are selfish narcissistic beasts to their wives. Some of the best marriages I've known have been non Christians.

FUCK!FUCK!FUCK!! Fuck all the writers producers or whoever said they weren’t going to kill Kathy! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 And I thought we could live without our spleens? So her dying of a ruptured spleen is STOOPID.

Olivia can just take a giant dose of STFU. Ans Show? There was nothing more than friendship and a great partnership between Olivia and Elliott! Don’t try and retcon history and act as if he’d cheated with her and then left her to her own devices.🤬🤬🤬🤬

I disagree. There was nothing complicated about their history or relationship. Elliott gave Olivia the family she never had. They never had an emotional or physical affair.

And I still can’t believe she made Captain-she broke as many rules as Elliott did and lied and fucked up. And her HAIR! Did she just roll out of bed?

We can live without appendixes too, but if one ruptures it can cause death.

The abuse question is also part of the new standard of care.  My medical assistant asks every new patient (once they're alone in an exam room with the door closed), 'Do you feel safe at home?  Is anyone abusing you?'  She rarely gets a positive response, but I do think it opens the door just a crack  We also have information about domestic violence in all the restrooms including wallet cards with phone numbers to call for help.

When I was I grad school for Social Work in the late 90s, I worked with a doctor at San Francisco General Hospital doing research on asking patients about abuse. The results did show that more women felt comfortable coming forward when asked in that setting. Nice to know that decades later it’s finally made its way to other parts of the country. 🤣🙂

The scene I found most interesting was at the beginning when Garrett and Gideon got into a squabble. I thought Kendra handled it beautifully, by being firm with her son and making him apologize, while making sure Gideon was okay. Meanwhile, Joy just stands there and tells her son to "be tough" and Jessa blows it off as "age." I know the Duggars' childhood was Fundie "Lord of the Flies," but the disparity in parenting style was jarring. I also thought it was ridiculous how Jessa expected 5 year-old Spurgeon to babysit three toddlers. I'm hoping an adult was there off-camera.

    Toxic parenting by Joy. 🥵

There’s at least one waxing place around here with a liquor license so you can get a cocktail before you have a bikini wax — Beer & Beauty sounds like a low-rent knock-off of that. And, on topic, I’m sure there are similar places in LA with equally stupid names. I doubt Jinger partakes in the cocktails, though.

One of the salons I go to for waxes offers champagne while you wait. It’s great!

This was the first time Jessa dyed Easter eggs with her kids?  I can’t recall a time we didn’t do eggs.   It’s a tradition!

Blasphemy! Doesn’t Jessa know that’s a pagan thing to do? Jk, my family did that every year. What fun would Easter be without it?

Most of my friends,/relatives don't like it but i add some horseradish in the eggs sometimes.  I love hot and spicy.

Me too! I usually put sriracha on them at home, too.

^^This. All of them have posted constantly on social media and none of them seem to have changed their ways much if at all in the past year. They've traveled all over, attended weddings, trooped over to Waco more than once to visit the Magnolia Empire Store (or whatever it's called). They have gone out shopping and posed for group photos during those trips with masks pulled off so we can see their lovely smiles. I think Meech and Josie did some fake-ass bit last year for the TLC cameras about making masks and using paper towels and vinegar for disinfecting (note: vinegar does NOT kill viruses, fools) but it was obviously a made-up-for-TV bit. Joy and her best friend Carlin have traveled to visit each other more than once. The TTH seems to have continued to have weekly "family nights" with people sitting all over their nasty brown sofas. There are photos of the Duggars socializing among other families. I wonder if Abbie didn't just quietly nope out of some of that given her nursing training, but then she grew up in a big Gothard family so is probably as washed in the Kool-Aid as the rest.

No way that bunch had any kind of legit "bubble" going on. Or sheltered in place. Or denied themselves anything just because of a global pandemic.

I think the only major difference that COVID made in their lives was the disappearance of any production company crews, no doubt to the particular ire of Jessa and JB and Michelle and Anna. (I think Anna's' as big a famechaser as the others but she just hides it better).

If anything, they probably spread Covid to other people. We know several of the Bates and Joy had it, and continued to travel all over the place. Who knows how sick some of those they infected got? 😡
