  1. Sure that potential Pirates trade isn't with the Nats instead of the Braves? As an Atlanta fan, I'd hate to hear about a blockbuster trade in a Pitch review.
  2. Ask and ye shall receive: https://clyp.it/zna0y133 You should be able to download it. Let me know if not. Oh my god, Christmas came early this year! Being immortalized in a text alert is almost better than the huge, gleaming, golden trophy I almost won.
  3. Thanks for the game, @snideasides! I was happy to make it to the tie breaker, even if I was doomed by GI Joe. And I was sure Alan Alda had done a black and white, no laugh track, serious examination of the toll Battle of the Network Stars takes on its participants. (That wasn't a chicken - it was Robert Conrad!).
  4. Thanks for addressing my burning question. Clearly, I was scarred by my parents' TV choices as a child. My choices would be Captain Mal Reynolds (fun, funny, badass and aims to misbehave) and Ivy from SMASH (gorgeous, talented, sings and dances, great with a quip) and only a spaceship can get her far enough away from the rest of her show.
  5. Of course actors can get pregnant and have kids any time they want. And I have no problem suspending disbelief when a character is suddenly always behind a counter or carrying a large handbag or box (we live in TV words with dragons, zombies, spaceships, vampires and 30 year old high schoolers after all). Or goes on vacation for five episodes or so. My problem is when *characters* get pregnant. My crackpot theory is that all shows with kids (say, under 15) on them should be confined to one channel, which you can easily hide in your channel guide at the touch of a button. Kids are awful on TV. I am not a crackpot.
  6. That was a great time! Thanks to Dave, Tara, (Sarah) and the EHG gang for having me as a guest, and @jjwalder for creating such a fun game. The "triangulation" aspect of the game was terrific, as it really helped you noodle out how to get to a show (or name) you may not watch or be really familiar with. Also, I play along while listening all the time and I can now say for certain that it's MUCH harder when you're actually in the moment.
  7. Hey guys, this was my mini topic suggestion. Thanks for answering ("Hey, Ray Wise, go get us some sandwiches." // slaps dat ass) Sarah was correct that I did not intend for the character swap to be a transition storyline, but I liked her answer of Raul Esparza. The man can do anything. The dialogue on SVU has gotten so overripe and awful it's astonishing, but he completely sells everything he's given. He was particularly entertaining just eye rolling his way through this week's ep on the falsely accused rape suspect. He deserves a purple heart for getting through the latter seasons of this show with his dignity intact.
