You cannot top this military "march" from Andrew & Dan. Makes me laugh so hard.
Just seeing the dull looks on their clueless faces in the interview made me laugh at them all over again.

There is one episode which on the Blu-ray you can see the patches of artificial snow steaming in the heat of the Simi Valley summer.

I was just glad that the black character didn't die, which seems to happen often in movies and TV.

I was impressed that so many teams came up with different ways of figuring out the backwards type. The skiers held the sample up to the light (and I think got it on the first try?), the lifeguards used the mirror after their first try, and the firefighters were pressing their arms into the inked type from their failed attempts (didn't help them though, but it was inventive).
When I used a printing press from the 1920's in school (this was considered modern stuff in my school) I found I could press the type into my skin and the mark would show how it would print on paper. No ink needed.

You'd be amazed at the mundane things that get massive views on YouTube or Instagram. People become social media "celebrities" for the dumbest things.
I think that's what they were making fun of. YouTube is full of cute women doing the most mundane things in life. Guys watch them because for a few minutes there is a cute woman on their screen. But I don't do this.

Amy beatboxing over the donuts spraying her spit all over them was nearly as gross as the rats.

One reason I watch this show: I secretly would like to eat and eat and eat just like these people. My weight has been perfect for thirty years though exercise, eating less (and less, and less), and daily monitoring. When I watch these people shovel every kind of unhealthy food into their maws, I think, "Yeah, I could do that."

Another episode from my childhood that stuck with me, especially the line, "I can't. It's stuck."

They shovel the food in their mouth, as fast as they can, without even taking the time to taste what they're eating.
Why bother? There's more food where that came from.

When Dominique started talking about lunch, the music reminded me of a glowing car rising up into the air.
Can't forget the end of that movie.

I'm going start calling all my female friends "baby girl". I wonder what my face will look like after a week.

There's a town in Wisconsin that for years in the 1980's had a "werewolf" sighting almost every winter. It would be seen maybe one or two days then wouldn't be seen again until next winter (maybe). People would see it cross the road, often in their rearview mirror, from one wooded area to another.
I always suspected that this was a guy in a suit who was having a little fun in his small town. Every sighting sounded like it was done strategically so the "werewolf" couldn't be chased or shot at. They usually happened late at night during a couple of weekends during the coldest days of the winter but never when there was snow on the ground, then no one would see it for another year.

They're supposed to be in St. Louis. Maybe not downtown but near enough to find a good doctor.
Or their horrible insurance plan has a short list of cheap dermatologists in their system who are booked for the next year.

The job I quit a couple of years ago (high tech, believe it or not) had something very similar. Management went on a cost-cutting spree to impress Wall Street and left us with a plan that had a $3,000 deductible and cost $700 a month. My former coworkers said the cost has been going up about $40 every six months.

This is another classic episode that for some reason I remembered watching as a kid. I think it's because it's about kids being smarter than adults but in the end they end up looking stupid anyway.

Retail music: I worked in a now-defunct pharmacy (was like a CVS or Walgreens) and we had about 6 general mix cassette tapes to rotate. We'd usually make it about 2 weeks before we asked for it to be switched. But come early November came our one Xmas mix. After three weeks, we would beg our manager to change it. He give us the 'corporate says we have to run the Xmas tape' speech. One year, he did relent for an hour. We were so happy even though it was one of the other mixes we'd heard a gazillion times.
This is a classic psychological experiment. Ask someone what food they like the most and what food they hate the most. If you feed them nothing but the one food they said they liked, eventually they'll beg you for the food they said they hated.

If I had known the crazy was fake, I would have enjoyed him more.

That's the reason I gave up watching Intervention. It only showed me that over 80% of addicts will be on drugs for the rest of their short lives no matter what happens. Why would I want to watch it every week?

Someone else pointed out how funny it was that the Ingalls family needed to go camping to escape the stress of living in Walnut Grove, and they invite their only source of stress to go camping with them.

I often find characters more funny when they're doing things they make them unlikable.

I just rewatched this season and I found Brooke to be even more agonizing to watch a second time. She is several times more whiny than Flo ever was, and no one went out of their way to help Flo win (except the natives in one leg).

No offense to Alan Silvestri who wrote a nice disco score for that scene, but I would have to have loved to hear the real music that was playing. Also seeing Victor French and Robert Mandan from Soap in "hip" late 70s fashion is weird.
Some of the oddest and saddest things I've seen in old clips and movies have been middle aged men attempting to keep current with 70s fashion, yet not look like "hippies". Normally they'd wear fashionable clothes and jewelry like French and Mandan did, and grow their hair slightly longer -- but not too long! My favorite was DeForest Kelley who somehow grew his sideburns out and combed them back over his ears. No one at the time thought it looked odd.

In general, I do like Gus. He seems like a bit of a poor thing that I want to root for. And his relationship with Mickey intrigues me. But please stop pretending every girl wants to sleep with him.
I'm a nerd who roots for nerds, but Gus's childish behavior (which was supposed to be humorous) made me dislike him. At times it seemed like Gus didn't care if he pissed off Mickey because he had no trouble getting ass before he met her.

Once again I'm glad I have closed captioning because I have trouble understanding some of the words that come out of Carly Chaikin's nose.
S06.E02: Janine's Story
in My 600-lb Life
When I run around the waterfront in my city I see very overweight people, week after week, struggling to run and get exercise. I'm always impressed by how much determination and motivation they have.
