C is for Chattanooga where the girls probably won't be visiting soon due to all of Blanche's former arrests. Sure, she sheriff still writes but there are surely female members of the police force now who would not be lenient on Blanche.
D is for Denmark where something rotten is--their cheese! Rose would never agree to go.

Well, ya'll probably aren't as slow as me, but it has taken me at least 2 decades to realize that the actor who plays Dwight (William Sadler) was one of the prisoners in The Shawshank Redemption. I went to confirm on IMDB and the man has been busy! He's been on so many shows I watch--Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Elementary, Damages, Fringe, and so many more.
I'm sad discussions of this show have died down so much! It's still one of my favorites. Maybe there isn't much to say about a show with no new episodes after a while.

They showed a clip on Facebook (and probably everywhere) of Weird Al on accordian vs. Jon Batiste on melodica. I liked Jon in that because they are showcasing what he is good at! No one asked, but here are my 70something-year-old mom's thoughts on the show: the new skits he's doing aren't working and he's terrible at interviewing. My mom says there is no real rapport and that it's obvious people are only on to promote something. I know what she means. Obviously that's the reason they're on but on but she says Letterman had a way of connecting with the people that Colbert isn't doing (didn't watch Letterman so I can't agree/disagree). She thought the Josh Gad interview was going well and then it was just over. And she thinks Jason Sudeikis was high.

The pulling of the cord was difficult to watch--and I guess I didn't realize pulling out the womb could be quite so easy! I was disappointed more about that quack doctor wasn't said aloud to other characters. But there was a cute moment in the show with the little girl playing the Turner's daughter. In the tent she shrugged her shoulders and smiled quite happily (twice!)--yet no one seemed to react to it! I was like "why are her parents ignoring how happy she is!?"

I'm watching "Isn't it Romantic," with Dorothy's old college roommate Jean coming to visit Miami. Why would Dorothy have had a roommate when she got pregnant in high school? Wouldn't her roommates be Stan and whichever kid was born first (a quibble for another day)? I guess you could fanwank that she had a roommate for a few months in between high school and college? My head hurts.
Do they actually say they were roommates? I thought they were just old college pals.

These are the same guys who wore those silly ape masks during the POTA marathon.
This is ONLY the geek movie event of the decade.It would have made Wheaton sitting next to them even more hilarious.
Maybe Leonard and Howard got into an argument over who should be Luke and who should be Han(and poor Raj kept saying "Why do I have to be Chewbacca??")
so they just gave up and went in normal clothing.The guys may not have been wearing costumes, but they were all wearing Star Wars clothes. I don't know that I would call Leonard's Star Wars sweatshirt "normal."

My very favourite thing, though? Swedish lady cop's line about the languages Swedish people speak: "...But not Danish. That is a garbage language for garbage people." As a Swedish woman who speaks English, Spanish and a bit of Italian but hardly understands a word of Danish and is known to mock it, I totally loved that. (Her accent was mostly terrible, though. Sounded German more than anything.)
Yes, I enjoyed that line too! Although my Danish friend said he can understand Swedish and other Scandinavian languages pretty well. But I don't know if that's just him or Danes in general.
Hope no Danes were watching this episode. Although if they were, they'd probably appreciate the joke.
I messaged my Danish friend as soon as the episode was over that he needs to watch immediately! He has said previously that Danes are always up for a joke, even when people confuse Sweden, Denmark, Norway, etc. And even if they are being made fun of.

I couldn't care less about Sylvester Stallone, but I sure was charmed by him in that interview.
I just came here to post the same thing. The StatFamily takes great pleasure in mocking Sly in general, with his ridiculous diction and one-note acting, but he had charm and charisma to spare here.
And I came here to post the same, same thing! I was watching and thinking...wait a minute...do I actually like Sylvester Stallone? And maybe I do. I don't care for a lot of his roles which may have been coloring my opinion. But I really did enjoy that interview!

Lesbian? That poster was of Taylor Hanson, of the group "Hanson." Very much a guy. Kate's holding their "Mmm Bop" cd at one point.
No, it definitely was about her being a lesbian. The lyrics were: "Taylor Hanson's lips and his long blond hair--the most gorgeous woman anywhere! And that's how I could tell...that I was gay as hell!"

I can't even watch that episode. So. Much. Hate.
Oh my, I love that episode! "Guess we're not going to make our quota today, honeybunch." I mean, it's hard to watch the whole thing, but seeing Roseanne take charge there at the end and her friends all being behind her makes me like it. And then in future episodes we see how great a move it was for everyone else and that Roseanne had the hardest time finding something else, which adds a realistic touch.
It does annoy me that when we meet Wellman, Jr. in late series episodes they made Mr. Faber into Mr. Wellman, Sr. Why would he be supervising a single department in his own factory? Whatever! (I know, I know, they didn't create the show expecting people to watch them hundreds of times and pick up all the inaccuracies).

And, wouldn't the child be Milos' legally now that he and Petra are married? More problems down the line.
I don't think it works like that. Or at least, it doesn't eliminate Rafael's legal rights toward his future child. If Petra or Milos tried to deny Rafael rights he could just easily demand a paternity test and get the courts to help sort out custody. But, as this is a telenovela, it is all possible to be problematic down the line.

I have to assume Trevor is religious, given his crack about "god-given talent" (he is a scientist, Trevor, a man who learns for a living, not an athlete), and his insistence on how Dawkins is a "man of science." Then the weird left turn about Dawkins' daughter and the ties his wife makes.
Hmm. I took it as a joke...joking around to a man who has made a career out of not believing in God and jokingly asking about his God given talent (having had the career he has). Trevor very well may be religious, but in that moment I took it as a joke, not a slam or pro-religion/God statement.

I don't think it's OK to use the C word (which Robin Williams said was his least favorite word, and I agree with him) in a song, ever.
Unless perhaps that song is "Hasa Diga Eebowai" from Book of Mormon. I hate the C word but I accept it in that song for some reason! (Do not listen to this song if you have delicate sensibilities). But still. Not appropriate at school in any way!

Kunal Nayyar actually came to speak at the university I work at this week. I think all the people I went with had a good time. He shared his story from London to New Delhi to Portland, Oregon and how he got into acting (thought he could make friends as he was pretty lonely as an international student). He shared a few stories then took questions from the audience. Someone asked him to sing "Soft Kitty" and he did, as long as the audience did it too. In order to get his signature you basically had to buy his book (hey, he has a book!) but it was fun getting to meet him for just a second and getting a photo with him. Obviously I don't really *know* if he's a nice guy but he sure seemed like it. He was relaxed and had the audience laughing a lot. If you ever see him on the speaking circuit check it out!

No Man's Sky looks fascinating. I bet that would work great with virtual reality.
Hearing about it reminded me in some ways of the virtual world in the book Ready Player One.
I think Stephen's show has improved since the first few weeks. I'm not thrilled to have another TV show to watch (and yes, of course I know I could choose not to watch it, but I've been watching Stephen on TV for so many years now, and I enjoy him so I will continue to watch (though always the next day, without commercials)). Though I could do without that last joke before the band starts playing his theme. But I do like that he's comfortable enough to be like "yeah, Trump, you're not going to be president." He's not as hard on people as he might have been on The Colbert Report, but he's not completely hiding his own opinions, and each week I think he's a little looser in that regard (which I appreciate--makes it more Colbert Report-ish which, to me, is never a bad thing).

I was super excited to have Stephen back on the air but thought that the first couple episodes were rough and I was a little worried--but I think Friday's was the best yet. It still isn't quite the show I was expecting, but I thought it was the closest so far and smoothest and Stephen got to dabble a little bit more in what he's best at. There was more of a Report vibe in places. I'm not saying the show needs to be 100% like the Report, but the show was successful for a reason... So I'm hopeful that Stephen will eventually find what's working best. I just hope that it doesn't result in dumbing down the show too much for the masses.

If Regina and Daphne flew, what car did they have worked on at the shop? I guess it could be a rental but wouldn't the company find out about the damage--and wouldn't that be risky to do with someone else's car? I don't know. Weird.

Yikes! I enjoyed this one a lot but at the beginning during World's Worse, Colin had a line about being a newscaster reporting on a sniper and then getting shot. I probably wouldn't have remembered had I watched this one when it originally aired--but obviously it stuck out a bit after last week. But yes, it was so nice to just have the 4 of them do it without a guest (even if I sometimes like the guests). I wish they would do this more and guests less. They are a time suck as you cheer for them coming in and then as they leave the stage...then when they come in again later then leave again...
But overall I really enjoyed this one! It's nice when the cast looks like they are having a ball too. They looked like they were having more fun in this one than many of the others this season.

I appreciated Heather flipping Ryan off later in the game when he made the comment he was looking for a doctor but when Heather popped up he said how she was a nurse. I also liked that the audience booed him! But I didn't love this one much.The guest could have been good, but I agree that she was too defensive about Denmark--not the right moment!! Helping Hands does nothing for me anymore. Colin tries to throw something around and catch it, Colin makes Ryan eat something weird...rinse, repeat.
Does anyone know why they are so intent on these guests? I realize many are CW stars and so cross-promotion is at work but it gets a bit tiresome. Are people really tuning in because CW Star They've (Probably) Never Heard Of will be guest starring? I miss the original format. I'll still keep watching this, but they seemed to have fixed what wasn't broken (at least for me). Oh, and am I crazy, or does anyone feel an "edge" with some of the cast vs. Aisha? I may be making it up in my head and it's all in good fun, but I swear sometimes the comments seem slightly more barbed than I'd expect otherwise.

Sorry, Divya should have known better. Either take the baby with you, or just call 911 immediately and let them deal with it. It's supposed to be summertime, the windows in the car are closed, and she leaves her baby in the car? Most likely it was a setup, but she fell right into the trap.
She probably should have taken the baby, but they did show her lowering the windows in the car before she crossed the street (I'm fairly certain).

F is for France where Dorothy could use the one sentence she learned in French class, "Merci beaucoup, mes amis." And since it's always about Blanche's underpants, she could wear her "Bonjour" pair. Or...was it "Bon Appetit"?
