  1. Do you guys think Brittney Schram will re- audition next year? I'm hoping so, she's one of my favourites. She's going to be around 31 next year and she's had back problems and got called in during this year's season for her weight (still think that her part in it was fake), but then again I'm pretty sure the oldest DCC ever was Linda Badami who was 37. If she does, next year will be her 5th year. I just want to see her and her sense of humor on MTT again. I don't think she's ever been a 2nd group leader either, but she's been in show group many times.
  2. Oh wow, one girl couldn't get one of her poms off at 3:29. I think it may have gotten caught on her cufflinks. I wonder what Kelli and Judy said about that. I wish they had the show on for the actual season, so that we get more than just training camp. That's why MTT7 was my favourite season!
  3. Bailey3606, I think that it really depends on the person. I'm not sure as to whether you have danced in a big performance or stage production before, but it can really be difficult for some people to upkeep a smile. It differs from person to person though, and perhaps you are one who is lucky enough to be able to uphold a lively facial expression through an entire dance. I'm a dancer myself and when I am in my jazz class (admittedly not my favourite genre of dance), I start off trying to smile my brightest smile but if I can my reflection in the mirror midway through the performance, I sometimes am not smiling. My dance teacher even told me my face was dead. So yes, smiling during a dance -especially during one as exhausting as a halftime performance- can be challenging. It can be a combination of nerves and intense focus on the choreography amongst other things, which I am sure was exacerbated by the thousands of fans watching them on such a large, HD screen. That being said, Breelan really should focus on her facial expressions and I am sure Kelly and Judy will make sure to consult her about it. However, Kelly and Judy have proven many times over that they do know how to form a spectacular team of dancers, and I'm pretty they would have made the decision (they are the executives, Melissa Rycroft did not hold as much power as they did) to cut Breelan if they really believed that she didn't have the potential.
  4. Honestly speaking, Brittney is my favourite Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders so this post may be biased. However, I think that she is one of the most unappreciated members of the squad, excluding the 2012 season (season 7), where she was featured in the calendar twice, was chosen to join the DCC showgroup for a performance and had a lot of air time. Granted, this season, she has had a fair amount compared to other DCCs- due to the weight controversy. My point is, I think that sometimes K&J forget about the veterans, especially those who have been with DCC for quite a while. Brittney's age might be a little over the average from a comparison to the rest of the squad, however, she dances just as well- if not better- than most of them. Again, I may be biased. I would like to point out that Brittney is a four year veteran, one of the eldest and is seen to always be helping, guiding or being a good team player and yet, she was passed up (again) to be a group leader while other DCCs who have not reached that level of seniority yet received that title. Her instagram and twitter are covered with DCC pictures, her headers do not necessarily have her in them and she has never been called into the office for being a disruption. She is also hilarious, as seen on social and media and occasionally, on the show. The whole 'losing weight' thing also came to be a surprise to me. I have always thought Brittney's body was good, and believed wholeheartedly that she did not need to lose any weight. She is also constantly in the back for dances, and this may be because of her height. Her getting cut in 2010 was another thing which surprised me, it was the week before game day, and she had never been called into the office and suddenly, she was cut. I just feel as though she sometimes gets overlooked, which is upsetting, because she is perhaps, more well behaved and a team player than some others on the squad. I hope she comes back next season, and gets treated 'better' because next year is her 5th year and she will be 31, well above the expected age, but that is something I admire- being able to maintain her looks and her dance- ability and flexibility. She has stuck by them for four years, and is a great ambassador for them as she epitomises the gorgeous, talented girl that DCC represents. Side note: not putting any other DCCs down, I'm just focusing on Brittney for this post and offering my opinion :/
