I've joined to post to this. For Farley, the next show was a Christmas Past, and they opened with his interview of Paul McCartney and had a slide with his name and dates. The Spade tribute wasn't until the next anniversary show, I think the next fall. For O'Donoghue, I remember (vaguely) Bill Murray hosted and talked about him being in hell in the monoloogue.
