Ashley's figure isn't standard, but I think she looks fine. I agree with you - I don't think Ashley's in much danger of being let go, especially during this building season. They do like her looks, and she's very sweet and nice. Plus she's a tumbler, and the DCC need tumblers for when they do the pyramids and other gymnastics stunts during half time shows. Dancers aren't necessarily trained for tumbling stunts. I don't know how Calia has done through the year, nor Breelan. They seemed to like Breelan's looks, so if she has improved on her confidence during the season, I think she'll be fine too.

That's too bad. I still remember her saying in the S9 finale that being on the field was amazing, and that she could see herself being there for a good long while. But that was the euphoria talking, and thing change when the down and dirty day-to-day happens. :(

Really? Cool. Looks like she's throwing it all in the pot for this year. It's a good year for her to get to TC, since so many Vets are retiring. Since it appears she does better on her own choreography than the DCC dances, she just needs to perfect and polish their moves. Sounds like that's what she's doing!

I wondered if Courtney would have problems keeping her weight down during the season. She said she'd never been the weight Kelli and Judy said was standard for the other 5'3" vets on the team. It's rather easy to loose 6 or 7 lbs when under the gun like she was during training camp, but a lot harder to keep it off week after week, month after month if it isn't your body's natural weight. I'm still wondering if she'll try out again, since she wasn't at the swimsuit shoot but her image was amongst the pictures for the sidelines calendar. Guess we'll see in May, huh?

You did? I didn't get the vibe that Kelli and Judy didn't like Christina. This was Christina's second time in the finals and first time into training camp, wasn't it? I think Kelli was irritated towards the end when Christina went up and said she'd pulled her hamstring again. As soon as the series showed Christina going up there and saying that, I thought to myself, It's over for her. But I didn't get the feeling Kelli didn't like her; just that she was disappointed in the turn of events. Weird, how the same situation looks so different to different people. Just goes to show we should never prejudge anything we see on the tube of the net, huh? lol

I liked Melissa as well, but agree it would be good to see more qualified former DCC's as mentors. The only reason Melissa was brought in was because she won DWTS. While that's a great achievement, I don't think she was all that spectacular when she was a DCC. Didn't she even sort of wreck her 2nd season audition dance? It would be cool to see Mia come back as a mentor, even a DCC from back in the '90's. (Anyone but Cassie. Sorry. I'm sure she's nice and all, but she kinda bugs me.)

While Kelli's response wasn't accurate in totality, the point - I believe - was to answer the interviewers question in a brief and succinct manner, in a way that conveyed that the DC Cheerleaders weren't just dancing beauty queens, but were smart and accomplished women who have college educations and were professional in their fields. The interviewer wasn't asking for resumes and a dossier on each cheerleader. :)

I didn't care for Amy from Rockford, IL. But then it always irritates me when someone declares they "want this more than anybody." Like all the other candidates hadn't spent an uncountable amount of hours preparing for the try outs too.

I liked Vivian and felt bad she kind of torpedo'd her 2nd chance at being a DCC. Her transformation from pretty to sultry for S9 did her in, as she kept staring at herself in mirrors, seemed to think she had it in the bag from the get-go. In S9 she didn't listen to Kitty when Kitty said her solo sucked, she didn't do the jump-splits the entire TC until the end, then said, "Guess its time to go all out" or something like that. I said to myself, you haven't been going all out the entire TC? The inappropriate laughs, comments (am I supposed to have fun?), then the crazy miles-long poem... Why would she think that was a good idea? It's like she seemed to think she was a shoo-in and completely lost all sense of perspective. I think she would have been a good DCC if she hadn't lost her head.

Wow, Miranda is 38 years old? If someone looked that good at 35-38 I don't see why the DCC wouldn't be pleased to have her. Just, wow. Though age is one of the reasons I think Brittany Shram is leaving. She'll be 31 or 32 this year (I think), and it gets a lot harder to keep your body that skinny when you're in your 30's. I think she had just turned 26 the time they featured her when she made it to TC but got cut. So that put her at 27 when she made the team. She's been there 4 years so she should be 31 this year. She probably wants to start a family!

It looks like that entire remaining Rookie class of S6 is retiring: Angela, Veronica, MacKenzie, Katy, Brittney, Emma, Colleen. Only Holly is staying, right?

I'd like to know when the end of the year banquet is too, so we can see finally who will be coming back. Does anyone remember Miranda from Seattle? I don't remember seeing her try out last year, but I saw her the 3 or 4 years before that. I thought she was good. I wonder if she's given up or is cheering somewhere else. Anyone know? You're right - I meant Erica! :) No, I was going back even further than the 2014 auditions. There was a blond girl that had made it to finals a couple of times. I think she would have made a good DCC but she could never get over that hump to get into TC. I think her name was Toby. Anyway, with so many Vets retiring, that leaves the door open wider for newbies, those who probably wouldn't have made it in past years when openings were fewer. I wonder if Mallory will try out again. And Alexandra is pregnant? That's too bad! (I mean, for her DCC aspirations.) I think she would have made the squad this year, especially with so many positions opening up.

Well, Melissa, Victoria, Lacey and Mary have some excellent dance skills. Victoria, Lacey and Melissa are already in the dance squad. (forgot the name) I'm hoping to see Alexandra return to training camp this year. I really liked her. Maybe Toby will get on the squad this year... I wonder if Melissa Rycroft will return to mentor. I liked most of her mentoring last year.

At this point it looks like only 12 Vets are returning this year, with most of those (8?) being 2014 Rookies. That's gonna make a weak foundation for a new 2015 squad. Guess it's a rebuilding year in the ultimate sense.

Really? I would think they would. As a Vet, they've been to the swimsuit shoot more than once. Considering these Vets probably 3 or 4 times. A friend gets married only once (at least there's only a "first time" once!). I'd go to the wedding if it were me and the bride was a close friend.

Are we sure everyone who wasn't at the swimsuit shoot is retiring? I thought one of the DCC's wedding was in March, and that several of the DCCs went. I can't imagine Kelli and Judy would insist the DCCs who went to the wedding and didn't do the Swimsuit shoot had to retire. Anyway, I'm hoping there isn't a wholesale retiring of Vets, leaving only 12 or 14 returning. That would be so sad.

Anyone know why Rookie season Courtney might not come back? She was in the sidelines pictures. What problems has she been having this past year? To me it seems like a TON of Vets are retiring this year. That's going to make a very Rookie squad for the 2015 season.

It's weird that we all perceive people differently! I didn't like Rookie Courtney last year very much. She seemed whiny to me. I think I liked Victoria, but we didn't get to see much of anything about her during S9. She was kinda tossed in at the end of the show, so we didn't get to see any of her training camp performances much. I hope Ashley P was able to shed her nerves and gather up her confidence, become the DCC I think she can be. I really like Brittany too, but thought when she was called in for weight during the S9 show she seemed tired of the whole thing. So I'm not surprised if she's retiring.

I don't think they'll cut a lot of Vets in finals for weight unless they have Vets to spare, so to speak. I think weight gain is always an issue and an ongoing one at that. It's not many girls who can stay as slim as they are at 18 or 19 when they're 24, 25 and upward. It gets a lot harder to stay slim. When I hear Kelli and Judy saying, "I'm not going into Training Camp talking to them about their weight," I just roll my eyes. Of course they're going to. My fav DDCs are Nicole and Veronica (apparently they're both retiring), Ashley P (just something about her I like) and Danielle.
