Teddy's wife Peggy also shot at the music festival, forgot about Sadie's husband. Thanks SOUP333 for the feedback about not putting much stock in her leaving but only time will tell.

I've stayed away from responding because after all that this series has put us through we hear that CB doesn't want to continue acting in Nashville. Only wants to do 10 episodes. What happened to the 7 yr contract that she signed does that just go away because the series was picked up by CMT? Are they seriously thinking of killing her off, then what the hell did I and so many fans post helping trying to get some network to pick it up. Let her do the 10 episode and then very smoothly slip another singer/actress into that spot. I would like to know just how that contract she signed lets her off the hook. Another death on Nashville how many has that been since it started. Me, I'm done don't want to go through another season waiting for someone else to be killed off again. Wonder how they will do it this time because who have had 2 persons being shot, one ODing, one dying of heart attack, one falling off a roof, did I miss one, so how will they do her in.

How Will A Move To CMT Alter Season 5 Of Nashville?
Sutton replied to Primetimer's topic in Nashville [V]
I thought the main characters CB/HP signed a 7 yr contract which means they are still under contract. HP probably would want more time to take care of her medical problems but I don't think you can just say I want out. I think the bosses know that HP has a big following to just kill her is not in their best interest. -

No CRANBERRY I was also wondering when she was going to do that very same thing but being so young and so naive on what the industry does to young talent I think she was just so scared. Am I the only one who thought that this was the time for Deacon to deck the guy and it being okay with Maddie realizing just close she came to being molested/raped her dad saving her just like he did with Scarlett. I don't like violence but if there were a time for Fun Bobby to get decked it was then and he wouldn't have a leg to stand on when Maddie continually said NO. -

I didn't watch last nights finale but reading what happened from posters I have to say it's kind of ironic don't you think that the writers wrote Deacon not decking the pervert this time when it was really called for trying to molest his daughter, like the Revil King guy tried to do to Scarlett. All the other times when they wrote him decking someone they could have just had him controlling his temper walked away but this time when he should have decked the guy for a good reason they don't. Does that make any sense??? I loved season 1 part of 2 but going down that hole slowly was so hard to watch. Don't know if they will get another chance but Deacon/Rayna together the girls home kind of makes my peace. -
I can't believe anyone would even suggest that she had anything to do with cancellation. This series has been going down hill, first slowly from last part of season 2, and then full speed down hill starting with season 3 and crashing in season 4. Kind of like that SUV roll over, what was it 3 or 4 roll overs. If there is someone to blame lets start with the people who came up with some of the worst scripts and like some poster posted who is writing these scripts 12 yr olds. Callie was suppose to be the one in charge (this was her so called baby) isn't she the one who's suppose who makes the decision on the story line at the beginning of the season on where she wanted it to go or did she leave all that to Dee who took this series right off the cliff. Did nobody see what was happening or they didn't care. The fans who have stuck with this series for the last 2 1/2 yrs will have a bitter taste questioning themselves getting involved in another series like this again. Me included.

ChrisK -- "Daphne deserves to triumph. I have enjoyed her growing close bond with Deacon." I agree, seeing her bonding with Deacon and him being so patient, loving, giving her guitar lessons is nice to see. But knowing this series and how they don't like character being happy for any length of time I'm wondering how long it's going to last. The promo for next week is giving us some view of what's going to happen between Rayna and Deacon and if it plays out what Rayna says to him about "She can't do this anymore." jumping to conclusions here, it would mean Daphne won't be seeing Deacon for a while.

Telepath - Did any of these writers (or anyone tell them this is a very sensitive road to travel with AA) do any research before they wrote this scene about someone involved in AA as a sponsor doing what Frankie did giving details of what's suppose to be very sensitive life experiences in alcoholics pasts. Did they ever consider what the consequences would be having Frankie blab out Deacon's problems and what this might cause people to think before going to AA but opting not to go to AA meetings because of this horrendous betrayal . They wrote him as a friend to Deacon in last weeks episode going to the cemetery giving him support telling him he deserved to marry Rayna and in this episode he's Deacons worst enemy. Telling his daughter/lawyer all he knows about Deacon's past. I wish these writers ?? would make up their minds on writing the characters as friends or foes. What a kick in the a_s for those AA people who need help to question if there is a possibility that someone might do just that. This episode was so down in the dumps/hole can they ever climb out of it. Maddie is one hell of a spoiled brat and I as others would like to see her fall hard thinking she so good and finding out the hard way your so call friend and father are taking advantage of you so they can make money off of you. How many more episodes do we have because I don't think there's enough time to clear what's happened so anyone want to guess what the Cliff Hanger will be if we get a season #5 ???

S04.E16: Didn't Expect It To Go Down This Way

Did the writers forget that Rayna's mansion is two stories, all the bedrooms are on the second floor, so did they make Maddie jump out of the window from the second story because I didn't see a ladder? I know this is just an out of the park comment but can't they at least make it believable that she ran away, out the front or back door. Isn't there someone on the staff that's suppose to point out things like that. We need a new crew for season #5 if we get one. This girl who so much wanted these two people to be together and get married now has completely turned her back on them in such a way that it's so unbelievable. Cash is putting idea's in her head that will cause Maddie a lot of problems but I guess she will have to fall down hard before she realizes what Cash is up too. -

The reason it took Deacon/Rayna 20 yrs to get together, first, it was his drinking, second, she got pregnant and didn't tell him about it, third, she married someone else to hide from Deacon that he had a child because of the stupid promise she made to Teddy, fourth, when he found out got drunk (after being sober for 13 yrs) she was driving the car had an accident SUV flipped 4 times that was over done, fifth, still didn't trust Deacon so she decided to marry someone else but at the last second decided again it wasn't the right thing to do ....someone help me here I'm sure there are a whole lot of others to list. AIRWAIR your so good at this do you have anything to add or fix my time line... -

Bwill3133 - Just take a look at Gunnar's face, in just about every episode how he looks at Scarlet, that's not a look of a friend looking at a friend. He's still very much in love with her but isn't going to make a move until she says she still has feelings for him in that way. Scarlet is even holding back, because when Gunnar was having a fling with the tour person, Scarlet wasn't very happy about it and it showed on her face every time she saw them together. I remember what Watty White said about them in season 1 or 2 about them reminding him of Deacon/Rayna's relationship when they were that age and starting out together. They are so musically matched as partners. -

AIRWAIR -- If I could have given you two thumbs up I would have. Perfectly stated what kind of person Deacon is. I don't ever remember him hitting anyone who didn't deserve it. We all know Deacon has a temper but if everyone thinks about it, it only comes out when it effects family or someone he cares about. He was standing there watching and didn't do anything until the guy started touching Maddie's leg then moving his hand up to her thigh, then he went into full daddy mode. It never came out why he left/fired by the Revel's. I wonder how Rayna would reacted if she knew that it was because of Scarlet almost being raped. That's what disturbs me about this series something that serious is never talked about. I know it's not something you want to get around, but Rayna went to see him that time because she was concerned he might have started drinking again, Deacon always comes off as bad because he has a temper, quick to act like punching Luke who stormed into his house because he thought Rayna was there and then said "I should have known better then to sniff around that bitch" that's when Deacon punched the hell out of him. First time father, what's it been now 2/3 yrs he still has a long way to go especially dealing with teenagers. If they are thinking about bringing back Teddy my question is WHY? Maddie didn't listen to him before what could he say that would make a difference. -

Are those Maddie's lyrics or Cash's??? I can't believe Maddie a young girl/woman who's been protected from the music industries bad behavior comes up with those lyrics, unless she's been reading a lot of trashy love novels. I have to agree with Ohmo, it's probably Cash's sexual experiences when she was very young and nobody watched out for her, had guys taking advantage of her when she was starting out in the business. Cash is envious, jealous how both Deacon/Rayna want to protect Maddie from people taking advantage of young talent. The experience Maddie had with Colt couldn't have last anymore then what 10/15 minutes. It had to be something very sweet because Colt doesn't look like the kind of a kid that (I don't know what to say here) take advantage of her. My big question is, is Deacon/Rayna going to listen to those lyrics and ask Maddie what the hell are you thinking and writing songs about lusting???? -

Juliette's back and with Rayna going to see her in the next episode she probably will ask her to help with Maddie because she's the only one Maddie will listen too. I have a feeling that Cash will try to interfere telling Maddie she shouldn't listen to Juliette. It's going to be interesting to see how Cash is going to react after Maddie tells her that she might tour with Juliette because that just might happen. Even Rayna might take her on her tour they can make it as a family. Rayna, Deacon, Maddie and not far behind Daphne doing her own thing solo. Juliette is a softy for Maddie and I don't think she wants Maddie to go through what she went through coming up in the music business. What's with Frankie and now Cash are they both going off the edge. Frankie falling off the wagon after 15+ years over you hurt my feelings tonight and now Cash yelling at Deacon telling him Maddie should do what ever she wants because she's old enough. Do these two people have some sort of mental problems that nobody knows of. Since Maddie just used her first name at the bar nobody knows who she is unless not so happy Cash tells them. Is anyone at the bar even going to remember what happened 5 minutes ago when the next sexy entertainer starts singing. -
On your first comment about Layla, that's the writing on this show. Sometimes I don't think the writers go back and review what they have written in previous episodes so they just roll the dice. One episode Layla is scheming to get back at Juliette for what happened to Jeff through Avery but then she kind of changes her mind. Won't know until it happens which direction the writers are going to make her go. Autumn Chase, again it's the writers, don't they speak to each other, like hey guys we can't us that name because it belongs to one of our main characters, or maybe they just forgot that they have a main character who's real name is Will Chase??? Speaking of Alicia Witt, if she was suppose to be a famous Country Singer on the same level as Rayna Jaymes, whoever picked her for that roll really goofed, because she didn't come across as a Super Star Country Singer or maybe it was just the actress who couldn't give a convincing performance.
