Are you saying people should only take jobs if they 'need' the money?  Who gets to decide when you don't need any more?  Maybe Alex liked to work.  Maybe his friend was the company president and asked him to do it.  Maybe he donated 100% of the proceeds to his favourite charity.  Maybe he wanted to make sure his wife and children would always be looked after, even after he was gone.  I don't think it's appropriate to call it 'greed' because someone who has more money than you decided they wanted to make money, especially when you know nothing of their motivations.

I don't disagree with this, but some stars need to be a bit more discerning in the ads they choose to do.

That's a good reminder about cellphones. I have now donated the iPods that I mentioned in that post you quoted, to a charity shop. (They aren't phones.)

Sorry about the misunderstanding - I see a reference to a device beginning with "i" and my sad little brain just leaps to phone!

I felt like we were being set up for Tyler to join the show. She seems to have some strong tie to Vance, although I couldn't quite catch what. That she works at NCIS with people like Gibbs and Vance yet decides she's better off stealing a body and trying to get her daughter back on her own begs belief. I don't want to see more of her.

I hope not.  She, both the character and the actor, were awful

Happy Sunday to all! I'm having a little "checking my tech" phase. Minus the deets, the bottom line is that I've scooped up the 3 now-extraneous iPods I've accumulated over the last 15 years, charged them, researched them. And I'm going to list at least one of them for sale on ebay. Maybe two. The third one wouldn't bring enough to justify the hassle and fees, so I'll probably donate it to a charity shop. Yes, I've either wiped/reset them, or I will before they go out the door.

For anyone who's looking to donate (or toss) cellphones, there are domestic violence organizations that will take them and program them so they can be used for 911 calls (no phone plan needed).

Seriously.  Like someone said upthread, my only experience with beignets was at Port Orleans Resort in Disney World.  But damn! it's like scarfing down 3 donuts.   Makes me wonder if the task was to eat them without drinking any water - cause that might be hard.

Am I the only person who would have trouble eating more than half a doughnut?

Just because God, being omniscient, knows how long we're each going to live, doesn't mean that we, as Christians, are entitled to foolishly risk our lives since it's all preordained.

    "We"?

It really is far more afraid of you...it’s disoriented and has no experience with how to escape. Try throwing a thick towel over it, while wearing gloves, and scoop it up and throw the whole thing outside, towel and all.

You can also try putting a bucket over it, slide a sheet of cardboard under it, and then take the whole works outside, holding the card against the bucket with your hand. I’ve rescued a zillion spiders, two hummingbirds and a lizard that way.

This works with monster spiders too.

I count Will and James among my least favourite teams ever in the history of TAR.  James is a whiny little shit and the one that’s always playing for the camera and oh so twee about everything.  But I’ve concluded that Will is a nasty person as well.  The way he was yelling at the minibus driver was inexcusable.   “Turn around!  Turn around!”  “No we just got passed!”   The guy isn’t your slave, Will.

Every season has countless examples of crass Americans (siblings, spouses, or whatever other permutation of racers) yelling at drivers.  And they all expect the driver to know that "Faster faster" doesn't mean "Turn around, turn around", or "We're winning, we're winning."

I think Cheeto Snacks encompasses all the different flavors, while Cheetos just refers to the cheese Cheetos.

Thanks!  I had no idea there were different flavours.

Am I the only one who sees a green cap and thinks "decaf".  (I have no problem with decaf, but a lot of people seem to.  Probably the ones with a caffeine addiction.)

Good episode. It's amazing how much less annoying Maggie is when removed from Gary and the rest of the crew. Just hope the show doesn't do the expected and have her hook up with the Brit though.

I was finding her slightly less obnoxious, but then she dumped her wet teabag in the dustbin in the lounge, rather than in the kitchen.

Anyone else think it was strange that they just let Theo answer the door by himself?

Not me.  Why is it strange?

After watching a lot of reruns of this show, it is my opinion that Deeks and Kensi suck as a couple.  They are completely lacking in chemistry, spark or whatever you want to call it.

Deeks is also annoying as fuck with his stupid mop haircut and his verbal diarrhea.

Nell also needs to go away.  With her crappy fringe (bangs), the baby-doll dresses, and the baby voice, she is unbearable and utterly unconvincing as a person of authority.

(Since the actors playing Kensi and Deeks are in-laws I'm actually relieved they don't have too much sexual chemistry.)
