Ah, That poor shy girl, Emily. She really suffered from lack of confidence. I could see her neck was splotchy while talking to k&j. looks like hives. I used to do that when I met my now husband, I was so nervous! She sounded the most confident after she had been cut.

What I meant was perhaps times have changed because in my day we would be dressed nicely with the sorority or title listed or mentioned, not the letters. Kashera thought to send it in, And Kelli kept it. it was a cute photo.

Wow, so The outfit bungle DID rise to the level of "meet me in my office"... Raylee sure didn't get it if she thought middle of the road was "encouragement". Lol. Must be why they cut that scene.

. Ah, so maybe it was a nod to Kelli's affiliation. That makes sense. I am also 15 years out of Greek life so maybe that's why I found it surprising. :).

Did anyone notice Kasheera's sorority was featured Alpha Delta Pi in one of her photos? Has MTT ever done that before? just curious because I really like Kasheera so it's no comment on her but I am certain a lot of the girls have a sorority affiliation. I would think they would try to avoid the obvious pictures with letters so prominent. just a comment, not a complaint.

. I hear you, but remember a lot of these girls are out of high school, perhaps have not held a fulltime job before....they probably don't want to hear the litany of "traffic" excuses. most professionals know to build in more time to drive thru rainstorms, etc. to be there when they are supposed to be there. I love your drink and protein bar ratios! I need that program.

. You said it better than I could. I hope she lightens up a little bit after the "emotion" this week. But, even Judy said some that were struggling would have likely been fine in other years but this year is highly competitive. Not certain how that is more so this year than others???

. Agree, didn't get that at all. IMO good dance teachers critique and always find something to improve. so the majority of the time in a dancers life they are told they are "wrong". So, if asking a basic question like "what is your dance background?" Is going to throw her, she just may not be cut out for this.

I always thought Kelli was a little more "Welcome to training camp. you all worked hard to get here and you should congratulate yourselves for that...but let's get to work" (paraphrasing) week one and this year she came across mean and intimidating. if she seemed surprised that the candidates were "on edge" Or emotional week one I think a lot of it has to do with the tone she set in the meeting! I wonder if it is because she has a lot more rookie season counts this year and she just doesn't want to mess around because it is a "build" year or she misses the threat and intimidation of "they are only taking 6" so she feels she has to impose her own?

. My daughter pointed out they were roommates... My guess is one asked the other rather than checking the sheet. They won't make that mistake again! My guess is they filmed the "sharing apt" scene later so it would make sense why TWO girls would make such an error. Anyhow, I really like Kashara so I hope this is the last of her mistakes.

She has used this turn of phrase in previous seasons. I think it is an attempt to be polite and speak of a girl's horse and saddle rather than her actual "ass" or " butt", which I myself have trouble with (sounding crass). I always try to say "rear" or "bum". But let's face it anytime you are talking about someone's backside it is hard to not sound rude.-I am surprised no one mentioned Robin. I loved her natural hair and she seems very fun. I hope to see more of her in future episodes. Or maybe I should hope I see very little of her, which means she is solid and will actually make the team! Lol

Orainche- I was wondering why you were subjecting yourself to torture waiting for both episodes. now I understand. I wish I could say you didn't miss much but you know that isn't true. hang in there for your MTT fix. :(

I agree that she is unfiltered and has a very unconventional style. I personally would not like to be subjected to her comments. She obviously feels her "no holds barred" approach is effective. It is a tough call for the dancers, though, because one would probably like the feedback in any form rather than k&j making that decision at judges table and not making cuts as a result. Now that there are other former DCCs teaching classes, it will be interesting to see if candidates vote with their dollars. They still will be subjected to her stings in training camp.

I just loved Megan and her Dad at the end hugging. He was such a big teddy bear type, very manly and he is just soaking in all she has to say about this very girlie endeavor. Too cute!

rewatched the episode and at kitty's studio Amy's costume had a neutral strap and at solos it did not. which means either she wore a bra at practice and did not at finals which I can't really imagine doing... Always dress rehearse with complete costume. Or the strap fell or broke. :(

"That costume is horribly risqué naughty, and I love it! ...This is not fair I wanted one of your boobs to fall out or something. Nothing happened, well there you go." I just think it was classic Kitty. like when she called a dancer "nasty" last year in critique and she meant it in the nicest way.

IThere have been studies done confirming that people will change their accent in an attempt to assimilate. I was a military brat and recently moved from the north to south and found I have a little twang in 3 months. it wasn't intentional and it is slight... No one thinks I am from here but I can hear it occasionally. I wonder if it was all those transfers as a kid (that linguistically I am in the habit?) Anyways, what I don't get is why she hasn't fallen back into her southern twang when she moved back (since she is originally from TX). My guess is she thinks it is unique and it is intentional.

. I was thinking about this because Colby has 10 years of living over a lot of these girls....that means she has 10 years of jobs, different groups of friends, moving locations ways gives you complete different groups that now know you...and those connections then have connections, etc. But I think the big one was she worked for a media company. All of her former coworkers are then in Media and this is what they do best. I love the idea of the fan vote and don't blame any girl who uses everything in her arsenal. let's not forget DCC gets the media exposure, different groups coming to their website and learning about the show that may not have done so otherwise, etc. The easy work around is to invite 2 additional girls that are on the margin. That way if you do not like the fan choice they really haven't "taken" anyone's spot. I think Colby really can dance, I just don't think she has a DCC look...but it doesn't matter what I think since she got the fan vote and that's part of the game. I hope she makes the most of it.

. I just think she knows how to play to the camera and provide a quick sound bite. But yes, I too am on Courtney overload.

poor Danielle was almost cut one season and now her rookie buddy won't be there this season. That would be hard. I do wonder if Kelli gets fed up w vets showing up out of shape or ill-prepared. and maybe they just didn't think with so many vets retiring that k&j would be as critical?
