  1. Meghan McCain. No. A thousand times no. I couldn't even make myself watch her 2nd day. She sucks at conversation, sounds brainwashed, and has resting bitch face.  My only joy was seeing her sitting uncomfortably w/ a side view of her preposterous body shape and hair color/style.

And what's w/ her wearing a tight short necklace around her fat neck? The in-house stylist probably hates her, too.

But, SunFun, isn't that why most of us tune in...to see some sexy woman sitting at the table?

Yes, sexy is definitely why I watch! ;) However, Whoopi is all the sexy I need.. Right, rcc?

  3. So enjoying the four-women panel. They don't talk over each other as much, Joy talks more, Whoopi talks less. So not looking forward to the new addition, who is neither interesting or sexy.

FTR:  For me, Sarah fairly often really nails a point on a topic. Some brains behind that bubble.

I sat through the Tonys just to see Justin.  I was overjoyed when I finally saw him and he sounded great!  Like buttah!  I thought he and the rest of the guys did a wonderful In Memoriam tribute.

Agree. Thrilled to see him as lead with some heavy-hitters from Broadway. I liked how the Memoriam was handled in general. Classy.

  5. Season One representing tonight on TV. Kelly Clarkson is on Celebrity Family Feud. Justin Guarini is at The Tonys. All I know is he's been in rehearsals for whatever he's doing. Both still going after all these years.

Also, Kelly has her Nashville estate up for sale.  You can have it for just under a whopping $9 million.

  6. I don't care who the judges are. Only care if they make meaningful comments, know their stuff, won't tell the contestant what the contestant was thinking/feeling while singing, and keeps the focus on the contestants. Goes for the host, too... plus, a nice speaking voice. Otherwise, not watching.

The show spending outrageous $ for "name" judges doesn't bode well for my wishes. We shall see.

Just saw Justin Guarini, aka Li'l Sweet, in a new Diet Pepsi ad, this time in a swimming pool.  I'm really happy for him that he's doing so well with the commercial gigs.

Diet Dr. Pepper. not Pepsi.  Also, news has him now cast in 'Unsinkable Molly Brown'. He's quietly doing great.

Justin is great in those ads.

Agree. The swan ride at the end was good for another laugh.

  8. Kevin definitely should have said something to Sloane, but it's one of those plot contrivances that I don't really blame the character for.  They wanted to have a moment of suspense - will Kevin go on?  Is he running away because he thought he was going to bomb?  No!  He's running to help Randall!  Awwww...  (It was completely telegraphed, but that's clearly what they were trying to do.)  It's just not as effective if Kevin takes Sloane aside five minutes before the curtain and calmly explains where he's going.

Ditto for Kevin having Kate or Rebecca go check on Randall while he went on with the show.  Yes, that would make sense, but the beauty (and the drama) were in the sacrifice.  And juxtaposed against those powerful moments of Teen Kevin watching Teen Randall cry and hyperventilate, before silently walking on.  And poor Randall hearing the door latch click and realize his brother saw him and just kept moving.  Heartbreaking.

    Agree with all of that.

Kevin left when the realization hit him that he HAD to go NOW. No time for a plan of action. That's what family is suppose to do. There will be other plays, but only one brother. Good for Kevin. Sloan will likely understand.

Randall's run-up to his breakdown was so subtle, yet obvious at the same time. Beautifully conveyed. Realistic. Reminded me of "Ordinary People". Quiet pain through small gestures.

  11. Knock, knock. Anyone home?

Watched today. Reminded that I haven't missed Paula at all. Loved DeNiro. His subtle snub of Jason Biggs was amusing. Don't think I've seen DeNiro so responsive to interviewers... well, except for Jason Biggs.

    Week's takeaways:

    • Thanks to Carla from The Chew, I now know how to quickly melt my cheese on a burger.
    • Only so many times to say what a sorry POTUS Trump is before becoming repetitive. But, necessary.
    • Whoopi would make some good points if she could articulate them better.
    • I like Sarah. Seems genuine, and she fills a needed niche for me. I don't find her dumb, just less committed to exhibiting alpha behavior.
    • Jedi. For awhile her sense of humor in responding to panel's reactions to her contrary comments allowed her some slack with me. But this week...

Keep up the fight View ladies, this Trump clusterf**k (tm Jon Stewart) has only just begun.

Once upon a time there was a former nun who "enhanced" her auburn locks with a visit from L'Oreal Preference.  This relationship went on successfully for several years.  Soon there were odd comments from coworkers, such as, "You're so funny!  You come to work on Monday with auburn hair and on Friday you come with strawberry blonde."  OY!   Well...we gingers don't always age well; some of us turn white before our time...and NO red shades want to cover white.  I've tried 'em all.  My hairdressers did the same.  I eventually gave up and let it go rather than subject myself to the snickers of those beneath me.  Clay needs to do the same.  He will NEVER find a good shade that will stay for even two weeks.  Additionally, he needs to have touch-ups THE MORNING of any day he will be on television.  Those pesky white roots grow like nasty vines.

And... with that lovely bedtime story, I'm off to bed. Live happily ever after, Nun.

I put Jedi in the same category I put Elisabeth.  Political opportunist.  She might have core political beliefs but her overriding desire to be relevant (to whichever way the political wind is blowing) outweighs those beliefs.  She wrote a book about being a conservative.  She wrote for Brietbart and you can't get any more conservative than that.  So for her to call herself a Libertarian is just her way of trying to appeal to more than the crazy right wing.  But anyone with eyes and ears can see she is just a liar.

    And... SusieQ sinks another battleship.

    Joy: Nevah!

Not to be mean (okay maybe a little bit), but my favorite part of the Ed Norton interview was him responding to a question by Candice that he's not into Hallmark movies (paraphrasing). Straight to her face. Unaware of her history with Hallmark, I'm sure. Made me laugh.

  16. -The Postmodern Jukebox vids are fun to watch. (Off topic, I want those wood floors)

-Not a fan of Hairspray, but JHud was good. I admire her for building a career on her diverse talent and not hype.

-Justin Guarini's latest project is a challenging original first ever ALL a cappella B'Way musical. He plays a NYC gay getting married. Makes me like him even more.

Official site for show. Lots of pictures and vids. http://www.intransitbroadway.com/

Justin Guarini: Two songs off his new EP are posted at the SoundCloud link below.  I purchased the EP, and heard the whole thing. Current sounding and very good. Mad skills. Arguably one of the best falsettos, and crazy range. My gentler heartbreaking favorite (which isn't at the SoundCloud link) is vocally beautiful w/ an emotional punch. Love it. You'll know which one it is if you buy/listen to the digital download.

Comrade Trump scares me a lot more than the DNC and DWS possibly tipping the scales in HRC's favor. (Thank you, Joy) And if the metadata shows that the Russians are behind the hacked DNC emails, couldn't they have also changed documents or inserted ones? Trump doesn't have nearly as much liquid assets as he once did, he's not getting the big donors his predecessors have, the US banks have blackballed him, so he's got to be getting pretty desperate for cash and if the cash comes from the Russian oligarchs, so what (in his warped mind)?  Wasn't he able to soften the platform to not be so supportive of Ukraine vs. Russia? That's some quid pro quo right there. What else would he do? Anything. And doesn't Manafort have a history lobbying on behalf of some Russians?

Yep, yep, and yep. Read and tremble w/ fear or fury.

  19. Todrick Hall is multi-talented and creative. Probably makes a lot of money on YouTube videos. He clearly has regular and celebrity followers and fans. Doing what you love and having fun with it, can often be as good and/or better than being mainstream rubber-stamped. Sometimes all that "noise" gets in the way. My humble opinion.
