I'm Team Michaela but I agree with you that something seems off there. JT kept referencing stuff Michaela was doing in the challenge that was pissing him off and all we saw of her was her awesome digging skills. So what did we miss there and what was going on at camp that annoyed Aubry?

I’m not the biggest Sandra fan but that was an absolute joy watching her school JT and Aubry like that.
...Oh and Debbie is cray cray.

I’m a couple of episodes behind so this question may seem out of place but in the episode when the CPS woman first meets with Carrie she originally asks if there is anyone else Frannie can stay with and Carrie says her sister, but she’s in France. It just made me wonder, are Brody’s other children aware they have a half-sister? Or even Brody’s ex-wife? Not that I’m suggesting they would take her but it just made me wonder if they kids know they have a little red-headed sister running around. And if they don’t know, has an explanation been given for why Carrie did not notify them?

Ashley is the worst. She's the classic Mean Girl, but she's in a world where no one gives a shit about her. Sorry, not sorry.
But like, aren't they all bitches and Mean Girls? And we just excuse the ones we like for doing it because they are doing it to someone we dislike more? I mean I like Cara Maria but I seem to remember her getting a bottle of soda dumped on her head at one time (which I did see as bullying) and I would think she would not want to stoop to that level with others. I know the two things don't equate (chips in bed vs soda on head) but still...just grow up a bit.

Wasn't paying close attention to the season teaser. Is Nicole/Laurel in play? I don't think we've heard which way Laurel swings. I'd evacuate the house if those two hooked up, because it would bring the place down around them.
It looked like there were scenes of Nicole kissing BOTH Laurel and Cara Maria and then saying something like "sorry Laurel, but I'll take Cara". Who knows how that plays out though. I was most intrigued by the scene of Laurel towering over Amanda and screaming at her. I think I'm alone on this but I kind of like Amanda (it must be the freckles). She has spunk and I want to see if she is able to stand up to Laurel if she comes at her.

I didn’t even recognize JT. Ozzy’s starting to look old, too.
I thought Ozzy looked really rough. Has he always had that scar near his lip? It really stood out to me.
I had not read anything about this season so the cast was a surprise to me but honestly for a season called "Game Changers" I would have expected more memorable people. Oh well. I'll be along for the ride as always.

According to indexmundi the breakdown for the whole of Ireland is:
So, 94.3% white.
Thanks for the info! I guess the casting was pretty authentic then. I did not realize the majority was so high.

I finally found some time and watched all 3 seasons over a 4 day span and I have to say, with the exception of season 1, as each episode went on my interest waned and finally petered out to where I just didn’t care anymore. I hung on til the end though and I hope with Specter’s death that this show has come to its end. It does not need another season.
And a completely random observation but it really struck me while watching it that I don’t recall seeing a single black character, or any minority really other than Archie Panjab’s character, in the cast. Nobody on the police force, nobody in the hospital, nobody in the battered woman’s home, nobody in the trips to the park. Are there really so little minorities in Northern Ireland?

Audible gasps escaped from the mezzanine, with Oscars guests turning to each other and whispering, "What?" Onlookers looked deflated; they were mostly La La Land die-hards. Only a handful stood and clapped when Moonlight was announced as the rightful winner. The mood was in stark contrast to what was going on in the lower level where the applause was strong.
That's funny because I thought the opposite while watching live. I thought the response to La La Land winning was tepid (because the room wanted Moonlight) and then when Moonlight was announced people were still in shock about what was going on and it seems emotions were all over the place.

Simply put: widen her chances of winning.
Yeah, happens all the time. Like last year both Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara were leads in Carol but they put Rooney in the supporting category so they would not have to compete against each other. Lots of tomfoolery.

NPH tweeted a blown up screengrab of the envelope. It clearly says "Actress in a Leading Role." Leo didn't give Emma her envelope. I wonder if that was part of the snafu backstage?
Leo DID give Emma her envelope. There were duplicate Best Actress envelopes and the person mistakenly gave Warren the second one instead of the Best Picture one.

Remember when Jack Palance announced Maria Tomei winning for 'My Cousin Vinny' and everyone thought he read the card wrong cause there was no way she could have won? I was instantly reminded of that tonight.

Was she hiding it under her dress when she went on stage for Best Picture? Because she didn't it on stage. And Warren's red envelope said Best Actress In A Leading Role:

That's why it seems like there were duplicate envelopes. Let the conspiracy theories begin!

My question is how would there even be 2 Best Actress envelopes floating around? And how did the right Best Picture one just appear? It's so strange.

I'm watching E! and Emma Stone just said "I was holding my Best Actress card the entire time". So she's putting that out there.

But Dunaway took the card and read it anyway. She didn't realize he was geniunely confused. She didn't know the card was wrong. So this is on the production person.
Yeah I think if Warren had been presenting alone it might have gone smother but I think Faye thought he was mugging or something and was trying to move things along.

Warren tried to pass it off but Faye was no help at all. I wish she had looked at the card he was trying to show her and maybe she would have seen it said Beat Actress.
Maybe each award has two envelopes? One to give to the winner and one to keep in a vault somewhere?
You could tell he was super confused and she just took the card and read it without looking at the fine print. SO AWKWARD!

God my heart is racing. I feel great for Moonlight but how must the La La Land peeps feel? They were very gracious though.

Yes, I thought the same thing. Not only that but I seriously wondered if Camila had been stupid enough to get that rope wrapped around her neck and the plank went vertical how would they have gotten to her if it started to choke her? It made me very nervous to think about.
