I know the "traffic medians are called medians because that's where you meditate?" scene was For the Cameras, but it was also, actually, her first moments after being out. Like her, hope for the best for her story. Hope he is better than the edit, or if not, that she loses him quick.

I know there are a lot of valid things to notice in this episode, but - Tracie, Brittany called and said that before you get expensive makeup and your hair done, take a shower first. Seriously, $350 for you to look good from the neck up would be great, but you're changing your booty into the $300 panties without washing? I think they made "washing off prison" the title of this ep so they could highlight the icky fact that not all of them did.

I’d like to think people figure out who they are and they feel immense shame. But I’m not sure. Anyway- what a weird phenomenon. He put his adorable innocent children in oil barrels and they’re professing love and offers of friendship.
I can imagine Scott Peterson gets his fair share of love letters. What a world we live in.

I kind of understand that some women are so hurt and damaged that a guy who will never get out and who they "own" in a weird way that makes them special would be (or appear to be) a better option than "real-life" guys, who likely have consistently let them down in every way and probably many I can't imagine. I think the women-in-love-with-an-incarcerated-man on this show (with the exception of Mary who actually knew the guy before) are less understandable - you get the fantasy of the perfect controlled guy, but they have to know, deep inside, that the wedding tiara and horse-drawn carriage time-bomb of "he will leave and we'll hug and sex and perfection and rainbows and be so happy" is going to end badly.

Re: the diaphragm, she can barely admit that she has sex. Planning for it implies that it wasn't just a random heat of the moment thing. I don't think she can admit that to herself.

Steven and Leida are equally insane for the exact reason you point out - they don't understand that the argument they make is totally valid both for the point that they're arguing for and the point that they're arguing against. (And in both cases that there other other reasons on that other side that more than lap their dumb side.)
Steven: This kid needs a dad - I was missing a parent when I grew up and it really affected me badly. Thus, I will take the kid away from his mom.Leida: Eric is making a commitment to me and my child, and when you make a commitment to a child they have to be your first priority, thus, he has to abandon his commitment to his other children.
Those holes in logic are so big that you could drive Eric's rental SUV, Fernanda's Jeep, and Coltee's no AC sedan through them side-by-side with no fear of scratching the paint on the Jeep or the SUV. (Coltee doesn't mind if you scratch the paint on his car, he's only planning to keep it for another 8-10 years.)

But even so, I take back my vote for worst anything and I give all my votes to the Friendly Cousin. I could be seated next to any of these people at the "random people" table at a wedding and make conversation, quite happily with some (Olga, take my contact info, come visit when you're in my town) and less so with others (oh, Jon, tell me more about real estate then?) but Friendly Cousin I would become super interested in the person on my other side. Or the floral centerpieces.
Also, can we discuss how "paying rent" gets discussed instead of tough issues regarding responsibility to people you love? Tasha is on the lease, isn't on the lease, paid at the start, didn't pay some months, etc., I don't really care. Eric and his daughter lived together and they're transitioning to not living together, and appears to be a tough transition, and he's handling it like poo because of his priority 1 (tm) whom he has known for 23 days. Coltee can't kick out Debbie because she pays half the rent? That's what makes him think he can' t move out? If these people were not related, and one of them had to move out or wanted the whole apartment, or whatever, then they would arrange it; if possible (if they were a good person) while trying not to screw their apartment mate. Talking about rent in each situation is kind of an admission that they can't talk about the real issues.
Also I didn't see anyone saying this and a lot of people implying the opposite: Larissa never wanted a $100K wedding dress. I think even the $2K dress was producer-driven, since that's always a fallback storyline. But she was just being cute with her discussion of a 100K dress.

But: I kind of assume that the producers and the couple, through discussions and whatever, have come up with some possible points of drama, and in those discussions it came up that Jay and Ashley feel like (or were worried that) the area is not that accepting of the interracial nature of their relationship, and so the producers in their quest for usable footage towards this say "ok, let's go to the market, and while we're there we can discuss that when you take a trip like this you feel like people are staring."
It could be true for her neighborhood or people she knows and not for this market where they got filming permissions, but I feel Jay/Ashley weren't saying "here in this trip to this market with pickles we are finding that people are staring" but rather "this is something that happens to us." And I am not ready to say that they're wrong, just because this illustration is super skewed by their assembled crew.

Kate says, at her wedding, upon finding out that Luke is the speed dating guy “Dude ... you emailed me the night before ... the night before the wedding and asked me if I wanted to go to a speed dating event” and he said during the pause “It was Wednesday.”
I may be too used to getting frauded but (a) who says AT THEIR WEDDING “the night before the wedding” instead of “last night” (b) why was the wedding on Thursday if they told us they were all on a weekend and (c) if they were married on Th why are they doing the first meeting thing in dress and tux days later?
Confused and skeptical.
