Sheila was probably reconnecting with her plastic surgery doppelgänger Sugar and somehow convinced her to attack Steffy in her home. That explains why Sugar said nothing while attacking her - Steffy might have noticed the voice change? Better count those toes!

The black market baby eventually died, and at some point Sheila's mother found out the whole sordid truth and told Lauren.
Sheila’s mom was so traumatized when she found out that she had a stroke and was barely able to talk. I only remember this because we used to go around saying “Shee lah swished ba bees!” (funny what the mind remembers from 30 years ago!)

Sadly, if they retcon anything, it will likely be to reveal that Hayes is really Liam's, after all. Then he and Steffy can have their "Finn who?" happily ever after with their two perfect kids.
I think they'll keep Finn as the father. That way, Beth and Hayes can be a couple in the future, with warring mothers (rinse, repeat . . .)

I think the endgame for the preposterous Hope/Thomas kiss is to cause some cracks in the Steffy/Finn marriage. They needed a reason for Liam to run once more to Steffy. Someone must have snapped a pic of the kiss of Steffy and Liam, which will miraculously end up in the hands of Sheila. I smell a jigsaw puzzle blackmailing in the future (which happened twice on Y&R).

This is why I can't quit this show. It's so frigging cheesy.
My pulse was pounded by those exciting action sequences! It just needed some Batman TV show BAMs! And POWs!

I’ve only been watching this show since 2020 (started because they were the first ones back filming), so I have to ask - are they ever capable of carrying more than one storyline at a time? It was Sheila/Sheila/Sheila, now Hope/Hope/Hope. I’ve seen half hour soaps before (going back to Ryan’s Hope!) that managed to juggle multiple stories. It is so boooooooring if you don’t like the one plot they’re using as a sledgehammer.

Chuckles the Clown, was a character on MTM, that was often referenced but never seen.
Truly trivial trivia: I just started watching MTM after decades and was surprised that Chuckles made an appearance in a very early episode. He was played by Valerie Harper's husband, Richard Schaal.

On the topic of pronunciation, is anyone bugged by the host's and judges' botching of Clement's name? The contestants are saying Cleh-MON, which sounds like the correct French way, while Jesse and company are saying it CLEM-ent, like Clement Clark Moore. (Apologies if this has been brought up before.)

I’m also loving this season. Maybe because the average age level is higher? And, since they all have their own businesses, they’re more level-headed? And there’s no one running away with it.

MY DVR cut off the last few minutes because of President Zelenskyy addressing Congress, and I don't want to go find it on streaming - who won the snowglobe challenge? (And therefore the whole thing, I guess?)
Boone and Robin won first place in the snowglobe contest, so they won the trophy. Dom and Cheryl were second, Nathalie and Finesse third and Mel and Leslie fourth. They gave Nathalie and Finesse’s charity $10 grand since they had not won any prize money, so everyone got something.

And more bad camerawork for dramatic effect at the end.
To save money, are the actors doing their own make-up? Finn looked like he had sunscreen patches and Thomas looked blotchy. -

Finale is tonight, correct? I don't care for these double episodes. Just me?
It’s already airing on Discovery+. It is indeed the finale. There’s a challenge with the five of them first. The bottom two then have a challenge to determine the final four. Then the last challenge follows immediately after.

What's with all the extreme close-ups nowadays? Have recent dime-store online film school graduates taken over the director's chair?

this past year has shown how no one can surpass Ridge as the king of fuckboys. Dude isn't a waffle, he's the entire Eggo factory.
This made me LOL. Taking a break from the show for a bit (it's so zzzzzzz lately), but I do enjoy reading everyone's snark here. Thanks!

I'm a relatively new viewer and I don't think I've ever seen Amelia. Is she an off-screen character like Wilson on Home Improvement, Norm's wife on Cheers, or Carlton the Doorman on Rhoda? (God, I'm old)

Could you post them under a spoiler tag, please?
How do you do that? I tried looking in the FAQ (which was difficult to find) and didn’t see it. Thanks!

Supposedly the five dances are:
1. Group dance
2. Duet with the two finalists
3. Dance with a previously eliminated contestant
4. Dance with an All-Star
5. Solo
There are spoilers out there as to who the eliminated contestants and All-Stars are and who they’re dancing with.

I’ve always obsessed over opening credits on soaps. So it looks like Taylor is in and Justin is out (probably deep undercover for Ridge). Shauna and Flo are also gone (mother-daughter bonding in Vegas). Finn is back (I fell for their trick of removing him after he “died”). And I think they swapped out one of Liam’s pics for a shirtless one.

It KILLS me when someone says “Oh, they’d be good on Broadway,”. Thousands of dancers dream of being able to dance (or sing) on Broadway. It’s tremendously hard to join a Broadway cast, even in the ensemble. You have to be extraordinarily talented. I can think of only a few of the SYTYCD cast that have danced/performed on Broadway. Alex Wong , Thayne Jasperson, Ariana Dubois, Neil Haskell, Evan Kasprzk, and Jess LePronto.
Gino Cosculluela, who placed third last season is (was?) in the current revival of The Music Man with Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster

Maybe they’re setting up a potential Bill/Li/Jordan triangle? I’d be into that. And I don’t think a soap has ever done a triangle before. 😳

S18.E05: Challenge #1: Music Videos
in So You Think You Can Dance
I'm OK with the changes, using the "some form of SYTCD is better than none" philosophy, but the overly-scripted comments from the judges are making me cringe. Down to top 8 already, so do we only have 4 episodes left?
