  1. I would love this. Brooke has proven she can make the company successful. Even if Rick is justified in his anger, Caroline is right. By sabotaging their line, he sabotages himself. The quality and beauty of the designs stand on their own, but his decision to overprice them or let Maya show them in a less than optimal order makes Rick look the fool. I think I've been bothered by Rick's rage ever since he shagged Maya the day he found out about Ridge and Caroline. Caroline shows up at his door and he has two words for her "SCREW YOU!" I know the anger was fresh and raw, but dude, you don't talk to your wife like that over a kiss or two. I don't even know why that crossed a line for me, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. I think this is an astute observation. It may not have worked out the way Katie had hoped, but she's still going to get a win today when the fists start flying. I have to admire the way Katie takes the lemons of not triumphing over Bill and Brooke with pomes and ribbons and makes kick ass lemonade.
  2. Wow, did Katie ever point Bill at Ridge like a loaded gun! It was sort of amazing and awful all at once. I have decided that I hate Rick. He is blatantly trying to sabotage the company because he's pissy. How Eric can leave him in charge after today's epic fail of a performance, I do not know. I know Caroline made a mistake, but I can't say I care for the way Rick speaks to her; it just makes me uncomfortable. So Maya is now a marketing genius and knows how to do more than pick out lipstick? Goodness but does Rick's business savvy underwhelm me.
  3. Oh my yes. And if Rick walks in while Caroline is in the throes of the best orgasm she's ever had - WIN!
  4. I'd like to see Bill and Liam get high together. That would be friggin' funny. What can I do but echo what others have said? If Rick can't recognize a (romantic) predator acting like a shark at a chum orgy, what chance does he have as a CEO? Bill could manipulate that company out from under him without breaking a sweat. And what does it say for Eric and his business savvy? Now I'm wondering how he never ran that ship right into an iceberg. Eric should just keep the CEO seat warm until Brooke returns, because I'm thinking she's the only one with enough sense to keep Forrester running smoothly.
  5. I do, but they are not particularly polite. A woman who mopes about the lost lame Liam love of her life to the man she chose to marry needs to be zapped by lightning every single time she expresses horror over a married woman crushing on another man. Hope should actually be taking notes on how to handle a triangle in a fairly mature way. When she's done with that, she can sign up for remedial community college classes in self-awareness.
  6. I am also enjoying Maya the troublemaker. I just hope they keep her as a schemer and don't push her over the line into crazyville. One thing I like about this Caroline/RIdge/Rick storyline is that it features reasonably authentic human emotion. There are no psychos or wacky hijinks or people acting like dolts to make the story work. It's about relationships and feelings, and since my other soap is Y&R, I have been starving for those things. Rick, though, needs to seal his cakehole about Ridge not being Eric's blood. Ridge is Eric's son as much as Rick is, and dude needs to get over it or take several seats.
  7. Well the Waffle cheered right up right quick! You go, Ivy. She has so much substance compared to Hope that it makes Hope look even more vapid. Why don't they develop some layers to this young lady - being Brooke's and Deacon's scandalous love child and the prize in some triangle just isn't cutting it. Show her doing actual work or having an actual talent. Let Hope accomplish something that justifies her "icon" status like serious devotion to charitable causes or whatever. I am starting to think that Hope wants to have a physical relationship with Wyatt and an emotional one with Liam at the same time. Did we really need montages with a sappy song? Hey, dumbass Deacon, way to keep the crazy lady away from your daughter.
  8. Liam actually smiles and laughs around Ivy! He seems almost...charming. May he realize that the whole star-crossed lovers bullshit is for kids and really move on. I ain't gonna lie. I don't miss Ronnn Moss at all. I enjoy watching a Ridge played by a competent actor. It's nice to see a Ridge with something going on upstairs and dare I say it? Scheming like his mother. I think this is the first time I have truly enjoyed Caroline, though I don't like the way the show portrays her as the key to the FC kingdom (hat tip Joi). She is very convincing as someone torn between her husband and her "fashion hero" as it were. Well-played, LG, well-played. Rolling my eyes at Hope having that "What to Expect" book lying around.
  9. But it gave us the classic KL as Rick "I OWN YOUR ASS!" And by classic, I mean hilariously awful.
  10. I know this is hypocritical since I was just admiring Maya's and Ridge's finely honed trolling skills, and Rick is just playing the game too, but I found Rick doing it to his dad a little distasteful and assy. This is a good and fair point. I just hope that Caroline and Rick end up with a healthier marriage than Eric and Stephanie.
  11. I am puzzled at Eric's repeated mentions of Rick's marriage to Caroline as if it were some legit qualification for the CEO position. I mean, I get that he thinks marriage has mellowed and matured Rick, but he harped on it too much for my liking, and I don't think it should even register as a reason to give Rick the job. Maya and Ridge are crafty little manipulators. I kinda enjoyed it. Bill was killing it today. "If I was engaged to Ridge..." That was hilarious, and I am sure there is already a disturbing and relevant fanfic out there somewhere. No, do not point me to it. I like Bill when he's serving up the truth, though he can lay off noticing his niece's hotness. I don't know what to make of that kiss. It was more interesting than anything happening with Hope/Liam/Wyatt, but I admit that is a low bar.
  12. I know I would be. The fleeting memory of Ridge and Bridget kissing still sends a cold shiver of disgust up my spine. I know one character can never make or break a soap, but I think this show will miss Brooke, especially if Quinn is going to start tormenting Hope. At least we'll have a break from Deacon pawing Brooke and acting like he ever had a micro-sliver of romantic feeling for her. Blech.
  13. I find Mulletor's spoiler intriguing. I must have caught Quinn's insanity (quinnsanity?) through the teevee screen.
  14. I am surprised that Brooke is leaving town when her young, immature daughter is having her first child. Not that I wouldn't want to get away from Hope, mind you... I'll say this, Rena Sofer is good at giving off the crazy vibes. Quinn was practically radioactive with insanity as Hope pretended to be an assertive woman with her. The reaction shots of a jealous Charlie were comedy gold. Nice to see some smiling faces on this show!
  15. Yep! This is the only place I feel comfortable embracing my Wyatt love, even though I know a lot of people don't like him. True. I like Liam when he is being funny or lighthearted or snarky. Put him with Hope and he becomes a morose mope.
  16. To me, it seems like it would be twice as hard. I could maybe buy this crapola if Ridge was explaining his vision to Caroline and having her execute it - sort of like a police sketch artist situation. The need for Ridge to actually touch Caroline seems weird and plot-pointy.
  17. I wonder if he has the self-awareness to realize he's in the situation he put Hope in. I hope his just desserts taste like the contents of his precious kitteh's litter box.
  18. I think the baby has to be Wyatt's. If it's Liam's beady baby, there is no grand obstacle for these two star-crossed dipwads to overcome. And won't the Liam of Infinite Sadness look sooo noble when he finally puts a ring on Hope and raises his niece/nephew as his own? Oh oh oh! Maybe Hope will have twins - one will be a little chickenhead and the other will be a little waffle. Then she can keep both dudes on a string forever.
  19. Are we sure that Ridge isn't Liam's father? Me too. I never hated Hope, but I loathe her now. If she were still pissed at Brooke for the wall boink, fine and dandy. I could even understand Hope being resentful of Brooke wanting to be with Bill, who went out of his way to be an ass to Hope. But, no, the horrible sin that Brooke committed was depriving Hope of her disgusting biological father and exposing her to two doting father figures. Hope also needs to realize that if Steffy were still around, Liam would be hitting that within seconds of learning that Wyatt's bun was in Hope's Easy Bake oven.
  20. Hope and Waffle, please stop your insipid snivelling. You never had a magical, sparkling, unicorn-blessed romance to end all romances. Liam, if you want to make a great and noble sacrifice, instead of raising Hope's and Wyatt's chickadee, why don't you swan dive into a volcano? And Hope - just what the fuck did your mother ever do to you beside not let a scuzzball raise you? You wanted your dad? Your dad was and is a douchenozzle. You two dim-witted bivalves only ever want your non-existent grand passion when you seemingly can't have it. Wyatt, you chickenheaded fool, go find some self-respect. Man, why do Liam and Quinn have that inappropriate chemistry? When Liam is with Hope, they're like siblings to me. Nothing sexual whatsoever. Liam has a slight pulse with Ivy. When he's with Quinn, I totally believe he wants to hit that.
  21. I'm finding Katie's and Ridge's relationship increasingly...gross. Their whole "love affair" is defined by sticking it to their exes. I think it is really bad soap writing that Katie doesn't even question why Ridge went scurrying off to the middle east to stop Brooke's wedding. That's a big ol' red flag, but maybe all Katie cares about is that it matches her shitty engagement ribbon. Liam doesn't act; he is acted upon. He's a borderline inanimate object. Don't forget his disturbing relationship with his mother!
  22. Has Katie even said anything to Ridge about his jetting off to stop Brooke's wedding? I so often fast forward her scenes, because I cannot stand what a total ass she's become. Hell, maybe Ridge lost his gift because Katie is his anti-muse or design kryptonite.
  23. Ivy and Aly need to get some pom-poms if they're going to follow Liam around. The sport of waffling has cheerleaders, right? Aly, you have a foxy boyfriend. Aren't you worried he'll get bored while you act as Liam's PR flack?
  24. While I can't deny that Wyatt can be exceptionally douchey, that's not quite what I meant. :) Yeah, I think she has this fantasy, idealized relationship with Liam floating around in her head and all the obstacles and what not just add fuel to the star-crossed lovers fire. The truth is if they wanted to get married that badly, they could have easily taken a stroll to city hall or hopped a plane to Vegas. Instead it's more "fun" to play out the "oh woe is us, we wuz robbed" drama.
  25. Sometimes I think Hope married Wyatt because he has an actual will of his own- unlike Liam, the human weathervane. I hadn't really cared for Deacon before, but I am starting to dig him and his sleazy ways. He's got some leverage on Ridge and Quinn, and I hope like hell he starts to use it. I also think it would be interesting (to me anyways) to see him work on a relationship with his daughter. Heck, it might help give Hope's character some layers other than wedding rabies and being this so-called international icon.
