  1. OT: But I just wanted to pop in quick and share a laugh with all of you. Someone of course took things I said here and brought them to another board. It's fine because it's all such old news now. But they called me a Prophet of Doom!

I thought you guys would find that especially hilarious since most of the scuffles I get into here are because I love everything about the show.

Sorry Wendy for being OT, but it was too funny now to share with you and everyone.

That can be your new username if you ever decide you want a change.

I saw the posts you were referring to and it did make me laugh too when I saw them.

  2. They make mention in the Driven commentary that the hospital set was built for that episode (and then subsequently used throughout Season Seven).  Plus it's cheaper to build a set that they'll use multiple times than go on location to a hospital like they did in the past (for internal shots anyway).

  3. And we have at least seen Beckett have weak moments. I can't think of any Alexis has had....even during the Pi storyline she was presented as though she was right.

What boring deleted scenes. I guess we know why they were deleted? Usually there is at least one that really reveals something we missed, like the one in Watershed of Beckett worrying in the middle of the night.

The final Hollander's Woods deleted scene I would have kept in (not the one listed above) it's one where Espo calls Beckett to let them know Castle's in danger in the barn which leads to her giving him the gun etc. But that's the only one I would have kept in out of the second half of the season anyway.

Roe was originally supposed to direct 805. Guessing he's been moved to Sweeps episodes instead.

  4. Per Rob Kyker's latest tweet, episode 8.05 was written by Nancy Kiu and shall be directed by Bill Roe.

Newbie writer again. Still wondering about Hanning.

Total spec by me - but I'd have money on TPW, AH and Hanning writing the Sweeps episodes (four episodes if no preemptions). Regardless the senior writers will get those episodes (so you can throw Roum and Adler in there as possibilities).

  5. I also thought the idea of Beckett and Castle running a PI business together would've been fun to explore. It seemed to me an opportunity for actual real new avenues of storytellings as they solved cases from a non-law enforcement side of things. It would probably reduce Ryan, Esposito and Lanie's roles quite a bit, but I for one am perfectly OK with that at this stage in the show.

Even though as a fan it would have been interesting to watch, logistically it'd add more workload for the lead actors instead of reducing it (which, the latter is what actors want as a series goes on).

  6. Well going by the BTS we have so far (unless they change her hair from 804) they're wigging her.

In terms of the S7 DVD, the bloopers are much longer than what was seen at Comic Con (going by the Classifications, etc). So that (hesitantly) and the background BTS I'm looking forward to.

  7. I deleted the set stuff from yesterday I posted to avoid confusion. Basically they've redecorated both Castle's PI office and also the Captain's office in the Precinct for Beckett. Reason I only said the former is when Alfred made the original tweet it was obviously done during the two parter so the details dropped so far would indicate which set he was referring to being used more at that point in filming. Hope it clears any confusion up!

  8. I kind of figured the above; I think 99% did, especially with the firing of Penny Johnson Jerald. But captains are desk jockeys, so I think the formula will be forever changed. Maybe this is the final season. Time will tell the tale there, but I can't see the "old" status quo ever coming back with this.

Maybe Haley gets a job at the NYPD and will be the new cop Castle tags along with. (I know, right now, Haley is not a cop, but who knows down the line...)

As you said, it was obvious when PJJ wasn't coming back that they were going this way. Emotional, romantic. Heh.

The one thing with this is they'll have to jump out of the blocks like they are to get the audience to continue watching - hence the season long arc, etc (and why I mentioned the Sweeps stuff - those are the episodes I'm curious to see what TPW/AH pull out for those). Speaking of the new characters, I'm actually more interested in Vikram at this stage than Hayley but that's just me.

  9. For me the key will be not what is at the end of the two-parter but what is planned for the Sweeps episodes. Because after the two-parter we'll probably go into a lull period going by Stana's comments with the 20 eps, etc (usual CotW, etc) until things perk up again in the Sweeps.

My spec questions at the moment will be come November/December, will the following be discussed: wedding anniversary, Beckett's Birthday and Christmas (or Thanksgiving).

Because the first one will be the interesting one if they're still separated at that point, etc. FWIW I'm just speculating don't know anything and all that jazz that far in advance.

So even though I think the two-parter won't disappoint (I'm probably in the minority group there), the Sweeps episodes will be the ones that I'm curious about at this point.

  10. So Stana's back filming in LA tomorrow, huh? So really she only missed, what, two weeks, and that's including all the pre-episode stuff they did? That's not so bad. The way people blew the whole thing out of proportion you'd think she was planning on being gone until after Christmas or something. Geez.

Two social media posts made me laugh: first, Matt Mitovitch is tired of the Castle fandom drama, too, and Stana's gone shopping.

She's been in LA the whole time since Sister Cities is being shot in and around LA. But as you put, some people act as if she was in the Middle East the whole time (which is where that shopping pic was taken because Amin took a similar one a few months ago).
  11. Whilst I appreciate dedicated fans being a font of information about our show and our actors, I do pause sometimes and wonder if it's wise to post stuff like casting notices and location notices in the fandom. I presume the info is out there in the public domain anyway and if people really want to find out, they will find a way to do so regardless. But Stana has security on Castle for a reason, and I hope some creepy stalker fan out there isn't auditioning to be a background actor on her indie or something.

Agree with all of this. I was in two minds when I made the post above because of what you actually stated (so if the post above disappears you know why).

Sister Cities spent a long time in development before it went before the cameras so I definitely am curious to see Freedman's adaptation. Especially with film, they have the luxury of being able to add flashbacks and exterior scenes that could only be described in the play.

  12. They're also accommodating Troian and Alfred's schedules too hence the days off being Monday and Tuesday for the film (at this stage). Though Alfred's not in the film much (he is a producer and has a lot of knowledge about the project due to his wife playing the Mary role in the original stage production), his other project (The Silent Treatment) will be shot in New York starting at end of July.

I've got to add, like with The Rendezvous, Gersh is a massive winner when it comes to Sister Cities, five of the actresses (main four plus Amy Smart - who by the looks of it along with Jacki were never replaced) all are repped by them.

  13. You can see on Rob's red binder that episode two is called XX:

@RobKyker: And away we go.... http://t.co/KvwAoATFbh

Yep. Premiere is XY. Remember it's a two parter. TPW and AH have co-written both parts (credit SS). At this stage Paul H is due to direct XX.

Crap I was going to go MIA from this board for a month (at least I haven't broken my other social media rules yet).. But now I'm definitely out of here!

  14. I'm about to go MIA for a month but before I do, I thought I'd drop in to say courtesy of Studio System. Bowman is directing the season premiere.

ETA: really wish other boards wouldn't take the info without properly crediting. Know how Hal is feeling there!

  15. I googled the name of the movie and came across this site with that info. Assumed it was an official site of sorts, but maybe it's a fan site? I see that the info conflicts with imdb.

    http://sistercitiesthemovie.com/director/

That's the official site. Sean took over as director a few months ago.

And even though I saw mentioned on Twitter (before I did my exile from social media for a month) that the film is in production (unless they moved the start date, which could have happened) that is incorrect.

  16. Looking forward to The Rendezvous. Been a huge fan of Amin's since Captain Abu Raed.

The other indie Stana is set to begin filming, Sister Cities, may be even more promising. A female centric story of sisters getting together for a family gathering and drama ensues, and ALS is part of the story. As the first feature to be directed by Alfred Molina, it should be getting some press.

Alfred is not directing it Sean Hanish is. Alfred is the EP and co-starring in the film though. His wife was in the original stage production.
  17. How Season Seven ended, I was expecting them to not be working together in Season Eight, purely because of the paths they could go down, etc. Whether it be task force, Captain, Senator, etc it made sense for them not to be working together anymore.

Whether or not they go the step further and with a time jump have split them up personally as well. Yeah that's the one that would seriously p*** the shippers off I think. And if Ausiello is referring to them then it could indicate a separation at least in that regard.

  18. Revisiting a former case in the perspective of having it gone to court would be an interesting idea for a flashback/bottle episode. It's something I didn't realize I wanted until now.

It's definitely something I would love to see - of course the Bracken trial would have been the ultimate but with Jack filming Heroes that kind of went out the door.

In terms of supporting characters for S8, I'd assume after Molly met with Alexi yesterday she was probably given her information about where they want to take Alexis in S8.

  19. There's definitely an audio commentary on Driven (well with at least Seamus there is) because Seamus alluded to it during his interviews for 7.18 about how they were doing audio commentary for the episode around the time they got the script for 7.20. Curious to see which other episodes get audio commentary.
