In general, I think movies that depict historical figures who had very eventful lives are better served by picking one particular episode and going in depth on it than by trying to capture everything, because you ultimately just end up bouncing from event to event without much context and without really exploring anything

After watching the movie I got the impression that Napoleon wouldn't even get out of the bed to fart, let alone conquer half of Europe, if he wasn't motivated by his love of Josephine.

I think that this is my favorite Luthor pretty much ever. Not the hammy Luthor of the Gene Hackman variety (although he will always have a special place in my heart) or the woobie Michael Rosenbaum Lex from Smallville (ditto) but someone who through sheer force of will and machiavellian evil is truly a proper antagonist for Superman

Now this is a Lex Luthor I wouldn't mind seeing more than once and one who has a real personal chip on his shoulders against the Kents.

Of course Jordan's gonna use his powers to help when a tornado appears.

Did anyone else besides me get some serious flashbacks to a similar scene in the Man of Steel movie? Now that Jordan is sort of revealed to the world and Lex is out of prison, I'm wondering if these two developments might suggest the Kents might move back to Metropolis for the next season.

I had to laugh at Adult Sheldon cutting in when George said he’d probably never have kids: “Joke’s on him! I did have them. But jokes on me too they say (that I ruined their lives) all the time.”

I'm still holding out hope that we'll hear from one of them before the show ends.

It got me thinking about where I would want to eat in Frasier's Seattle. It would be hard to pass up the chance to have a dessert made by Faye, Fabulous Faye, so I'd probably go for Le Cigare Volant. But I'd hate to miss out on whatever the experience is at The Salad Experience, so it's a tough choice.

I'd be willing to give Farmer Jack's Chicken Chicken Chicken a try (I think that's the name).

The easiest sale would be something with Raj - perhaps take a cue from Frasier and go with what they had set up in turning him into a Neil deGrasse Tyson popular science media figure, but I would bet if that was what they were developing they would announce KN was signed

I'm still thinking that it would be a spinoff a la Frasier 2.0. Raj moves to a new city with a new job and characters to interact along with an update here and there via a guest appearance from Howard along with news about Leonard/Penny and Sheldon/Amy.  The big question is would Kunal  want to return to the role.

The dad is sharing a cell with Todd Chrisley".

Is it wrong that I laughed out loud when I read that? As someone who's speeding towards 60 at warp 10 I like to think if I was the defendant's age I wouldn't be so desperate for fame and money that I would do any of the things mentioned on the show (and in real life). As I was watching the ep I kept thinking, who's the bigger attention-starved idiot. The person who come up with these stunts in the first place or the person who actually tries them.

The pixilated cupcakes at the end were pretty funny.

What are the chances that they came from the same bakery that made Dan's birthday cake (courtesy of Bull and Harry) from the original show?

Still, was hoping to get a Max or Christine shout out

I thought that Neil's sweaters were a shout-out of sorts to Mac, who along with Newhart's Mary Frann apparently had a sweater collection in the 80's that rivaled Bill Cosby's. I think the 2nd ep did show some potential with the Golden Girls mural and the birds. Abby and Dan were the best things about the two eps, although Abby's sunny optimism got a bit on my nerves at times. So I'm willing to stick with the show for now. Maybe we'll find out what happened with Mac and Christine through their respective children who would be adults now.

She had a lot of good one-liners this episode.

"You couldn't sell scarves to Lenny Kravitz with that pitch".  Ava was on fire during this ep with the one liners. I also liked that there was a serious side of her as well. I know dealing with her in real life would be a pain, so I'm glad she's just a tv character.

Okay, the last scene of Sheldon being taped to the wall made me laugh

That made me think if only future Howard and Leonard could travel back in time to see that moment.

Pains me to say this 'cuz he's certainly no prize, but Connie's lack of ethics gives me no choice ...

    You can do better, Dale.

I'm beginning to wonder if Dale decides to end things between them in the not-too-distant future because Connie is a bit too much on the wild side for him.

I always remember the Cheers episode where Hester threatened to kill Diane.

I've wondered what her reaction would have been having Lilith and Maris as her daughters-in-law. I recall Roz mentioning that fact to Martin and his reaction left no doubt that it wasn't pleasant.

I would have like it if Dusty was played by Pastor Rob.

I was expecting that, but I guessed Mary wasn't quite ready to go there yet, even in her imagination. Maybe writing romance novels could be a way of Mary to bring in some money for the family. Even if they don't show up on Oprah's Book Club, I'm sure there would be an audience for them.

He's eating lunch with his 15 year old daughter, and this other 15 year old is killed, and he is determined to get justice for her

That particular scene gave me a serious SVU flashback, where Stabler is with his daughter (Kathleen? Maureen?) and he tells her to stay away when an incident takes place. Of course the daughter ignores the warning and gets more than she bargained for. In both cases I said to myself I bet the next time she'll actually listen to her father to stay away.

So, is Caitlin now going to become a supervillain?

Apparently for a 2nd time. And as a discount reply to WandaVision. Apart from the ending I thought the ep was more of the better ones, and my favorite parts involved seeing Singh again and him talking with Joe. And Singh at the table with everyone else.

  15. Would the "Chainsaw Madonna" really not be aware of the actual Madonna back in 1987? I can understand not being into her music, but not be aware of her existence at all.

Interesting that Missy swore off babies after one babysitting experience, but life will turn out differently for her.

As soon as Missy said she was through with babies I was expecting adult Sheldon to say something like "And we all know how well that turned out".

And I'm tired of him overusing the word "prick." (It was only used once here, but he loves it on Chicago P.D.)

It could be worse.  Be thankful that "level up" hasn't made it to the show from The Flash.

I wonder if there's any policy about teachers dating? I guess since Ava doesn't know what HR is, he and Janine are good.

I think Ava is going find out just what HR is if another teacher besides Gregory makes a complaint about her. As far as what the policy is regarding teachers dating each other, who sets that?

The only person who can keep Sheldon, Dr. Linkletter and Dr. Sturgis in line is Ming-Na Wen! That checks out. She's so awesome

I'm sure after dealing with rogue agents from S.H.I.E.L.D., HYDRA and Inhumans, putting Sheldon in his place was a piece of cake. Another person thrilled with seeing Min-Na Wen and already looking forward to her next appearance.

Thanks to Alice, Marquis has now made himself home in the Batcave!  Once again, if he's still out there, Bruce is throwing something and yelling "Damn you all!"

It probably wouldn't be a proper Arrowverse show if the so-called "secret location" wasn't about as secret as a local Starbucks or Barnes & Noble.
