Juan-Carlos "Juice" Ortiz:

I'm actually not surprised the club didn't suspect Juice's dad was black. A bunch of white outlaw bikers in California, most of whom likely didn't go beyond a high school education, see a brown face and probably automatically assume "Mexican" (because it's California) and don't think of Puerto Rico as being ethnically or racially different than Mexico. Some of them are even from the time when Mexican babies were automatically classified as white on their birth certificates. It might be different if this chapter was on the East Coast, where they'd have to interact frequently with Puerto Ricans, Cubans, Dominicans, and Haitians, but they are limited by their West Coast experience. They looked at Juice and just saw brown, or even brownish, told themselves "he's not like the others, he's one of us," and moved on.

ave never missed an episode but I still do not remember just what it was that caused Jax to get so mad at Juice and do that sinister whisper in his ear, "you betrayed me...."  If anyone could give me just a very quick summary I'd appreciate it.  I've always liked Juice and don't regard him as rough and violent and beyond redemption as the others....

High, and f suicidal, Juice confesses to Nero that he killed Nero's cousin's old lady on Jax's orders.

What I can't understand though, is why Jax doesn't just get the fuck over it. Nero has moved on and has clearly not let that stop him from working with the club. Jax should just keep it moving.

I've kind of always thought that it also had to do with the time when Juice was working with the Feds. He was suicidal back then too, though I think only Chibs knows about that. I just can't see that what Juice did, when he was HIGH, has Jax this pissed off.

I love Juice and I hate the direction his character has gone. He makes me so sad nowadays.
