Dagny April 21, 2014 Share April 21, 2014 I like when he goes out to the middle of nowhere and drinks with a barfly. This one kinda reminds me of when he went to New Mexico. I think it funny how well he dines, but he can still chow down on nice fattening everyday food. Link to comment
ElectricBoogaloo April 23, 2014 Author Share April 23, 2014 (edited) Heh, I totally agree with Bourdain about EDM (and I say this as someone who used to work in a club). It's a lot of flashing lights and douchebags. I really enjoyed the segment at the bar with the retro singer. It's always nice to see something in Vegas that isn't just gambling, hookers, or partying. I liked the low key vibe. Edited April 23, 2014 by ElectricBoogaloo Link to comment
Athena April 29, 2014 Share April 29, 2014 Heh, I totally agree with Bourdain about EDM (and I say this as someone who used to work in a club). It's a lot of flashing lights and douchebags. As someone who recently learned that EDM was big in the US (not American) especially among Asian-Americans, I'm a bit perplexed on why. What's the appeal? I mean, I like to go to a club once in awhile, but why is so hot right now? I have never had any desire to go to Las Vegas and this show just confirmed it more or less. I do admit the swanky restaurants looked nice and so did that Thai place. It was also nice to know that at least someone is trying to preserve the water there. Link to comment
