methodwriter85 September 12, 2015 Share September 12, 2015 I really think it's fascinating how absolutely devoted some of these Warriors are, like pretty much living their live 24/7 for this, like they're Olympic athletes. And it's like an entire cottage industry has sprung up around the game. Pretty interesting, I think. I wonder if ANJ will continue to grow bigger in terms of the amount of people that get their lives into this. Link to comment
SmithW6079 September 19, 2015 Share September 19, 2015 I don't know if there's a direct correlation to American Ninja Warrior, but it seems like there's a resurgence of intetest in bodyweight/minimal equipment training, whether calisthenics or suspension trainers like TRX -- YouTube is full of instructional videos. As for other obstacle course-type shows, there's Steve Austin's Broken Skull Challenge, which is more about brute strength in overcoming an opponent in individual competition before taking on an obstacle course. And races like Tough Mudders and other amateur obstacle course challenges. Link to comment
