Getting logged-out over and over

For some reason I keep getting logged-out - often have to log-in three or four times just to read a few posts or to post something myself. 

Any ideas? (History has been cleared.)

I know how much that would annoy me, so I'm truly sorry to hear that. 

Is it a new development? 

Based on what I know, there's a chance it could be browser related but @AllAstronauts knows a lot more about it than I do.

Long and short of it is: something is "wrong" on your end. You can see some of this discussed here and here:

There are a few other threads there as well with similar.

So:

If you are browsing in private mode this will always occur.

Looking at your account, I can see you never toggled the "remember me" option when you logged in many moons ago. As such, after you stop browsing any login cookies that keep you logged will be auto-dropped (or age out).  The internal note on this common feature is "Automatic Login will happen if the user checked the Remember Me box when logging in within the last 3 months and has not logged out on that device since."

Those are the two big ones. You are stating, however, that you are getting logged out repeatedly upon login before it "sticks".  That feels like you MAYBE (???) have some cookie bs just lingering around in your browser.

Do that - wipe the cookies (not history, that's just links to the pages you've visited here) out for Primetimer then give it the ol'college try again. Zero promises.

Thought I had covered cookies when deleting ‘history and website data’ on my ipad - turns out there was another spot for ‘website data’ in advanced settings.

All good now!
