TimWil March 5 Share March 5 I thought that the face to face confrontation between Jane and Taylah would reveal that Jane was actually Taylah’s birth mother. Maybe I watched too many episodes of Days Of Our Lives. No sign of Youngish Irish Bar Guy. I guess he got snuffed out by Old Irish Guy. Will Leo Woodall really do another season of this dreck? Doesn’t he have a feature film career to look after? Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152156-s01e08-the-key/#findComment-8598636
ahpny March 6 Share March 6 (edited) I'm confused about why the algorithm supposedly now exists only in "Ed's head." Didn't Taylah implement that algorithm in computer code that she used to break the cryptographically protected secrets the NSA and Axiom (or whatever the evil company's name is) and isn't that computer code still resident on her phone - which she gave to Ed? So isn't the algorithm at least also still on her phone in addition to being in Ed's head? And given that her phone appears to be an IPhone, wouldn't that same code also be backup to ICloud, or at least possibly so? In addition, his little notebook full of secret work wasn't really destroyed. If we can read the charred remains of ancient burned scrolls thousands of years later (which we can using certain high-powered modern scanning techniques), the information in that "burned" notebook can also be recovered. See https://ny.pbslearningmedia.org/resource/nvdssd-sci-xraytech/using-x-ray-technology-to-read-the-unreadable-dead-sea-scroll-detectives/ I found it somewhat odd that this series got some pretty complicated cryptography issues sort of correct, but seemed to fumble in presenting a coherent story regarding who was doing what to whom and why. Snazzy Daisy March 6 Author Share March 6 From early on, we can tell Professor Alderman is the big bad based on the casting. 🙄 Taylah is being arrested for what? Accessory to murder? Andrew is being promoted after the Axiom fiasco. Whatevs. Generally, this show is embarrassingly bad — thanks to its clunky writing.
