Ish, a brilliant but solitary young geologist living a semi-isolated life, is bitten by a snake, while incapacitated, a plague of unprecedented virulence sweeps across the globe and the human race is essentially wiped out. Ish, awakens from his coma to witness the great machinery of civilization slowly and inexorably break down, leaving only a few shattered survivors remaining to struggle against humanity's slide into barbarism... or extinction. Ish takes a road trip, forced to look for what he was so certain he could live without, other people. The last few shattered survivors will provide humanity a chance, a last hope against its inevitable extinction. But Ish soon learns mo people, mo problems. Her character is the earth mother at the core of civilization's second chance. Aaron Tveit as Charlie, the handsome leader of a new group of travelers. A natural charmer, he hides a threatening nature that only Ish seems to be able to see. Howie Lai as Kori Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll as Jorge, a civil engineer in his native Venezuela, Jorge finds his purpose once more amongst the San Lupo community. Elyse Levesque as Maurine, who is beautiful but troubled. Used to a life of wealth and sophistication, past traumas have left her despondent. Luisa D'Oliveira as Molly, a doctor with a deep-rooted strength and directness. Molly is a supportive and dependable force within the community, helping many through their struggles while hiding her own. Hilary McCormack as Jean, once a mesmerizing musician and singer who is now a loving mother and recovering addict. Birkett Turton as Ezra, a former music club owner who is full of personality.
