Interior Chinatown is a Drama/Comedy with all ten episodes streaming on November 19, 2024 on Hulu.     

The Interior Chinatown TV Show is about a mundane character, Willis Wu, his mundane life comes to an end when he accidentally becomes a witness to a crime and starts to untangle a criminal network in Chinatown, uncovering his family’s hidden past and experiencing what it’s like to be in the spotlight. He finds himself becoming part of a larger world than he ever imagined. 

Interior Chinatown is based on the 2020 book of the same name, by Charles Yu. 
the story of Willis Wu, who is a background character trapped in a popular long running police procedural called "Black & White". Stuck in the background, Willis goes through the motions of his on-screen job waiting tables and dreaming about a whole world beyond Chinatown. When Willis inadvertently becomes a witness to a crime, he begins to unravel a criminal web in Chinatown, while discovering his own family’s buried history and what it feels like to be in the spotlight.

Interior Chinatown examines Asian-American stereotypes in the media with a humorous metafictional twist. 

Jimmy O. Yang as Willis Wu, a background actor in the procedural cop show "Black & White".

Tzi Ma as Joe Wu, Willis’ father who, as a former wing chun master, who once ran the most prestigious martial arts school in Chinatown. 

Diana Lin as Lily Wu, Willis’ mother who is both his biggest fan and sharpest critic. 

Chris Pang as Older Brother, a kung fu–expert, the charming and talented beloved older brother of Willis Wu. Older Brother's mysterious disappearance years ago tore the family apart. Now, Willis has an opportunity to investigate his brother's case when Det. Lana Lee arrives in the neighborhood with new information.

Archie Kao as Uncle Wong, Willis’ curmudgeonly boss at the Golden Palace.

Ronny Chieng as Fatty Choi, Willis' best friend whose passions include video games and malted beverages.

Chloe Bennet as Detective Lana Lee, the new lead making her debut appearance in the procedural cop show "Black & White". Lana brings a new energy to the series' reliable but overworked premise.

Sullivan Jones as Miles Turner, lead detective on the procedural crime show "Black & White". An expert at making flashy arrests — whenever he’s not bantering with his longtime partner Sarah Green, Turner’s seemingly perfect exterior masks someone more complex. 

Lisa Gilroy as Sarah Green, lead detective on the procedural crime show "Black & White". Ambitious and hyper-competent, Green is indisputably the best detective on the force, but somehow still finds herself always fighting for the light behind Turner’s shadow.

Maury Sterling as Detective Carrey, one of the actors that was the first pair of detective partners on the original "Black & White" series.  

Spencer Neville as Detective McDonough, one of the actors that was the first pair of detective partners on the original "Black & White" series.

Lauren Tom as Betty, a successful real estate agent with a sharp suit and sharper tongue. When her assistant drags her out to look at an abandoned laundromat in Chinatown, Betty is clearly irritated, but her attitude changes when she sees her old friend (and new rival), Lily Wu.
