Snazzy Daisy July 20 Author Share July 20 The assassination gone wrong could be the reason for Cleo’s death/murder. 🤔 Quote “You wanted to tell everyone’s story but your own.” Cleo (the narrator) can see right through Maddie and her intentions. She doesn’t like Maddie becoming part of her narrative and exploiting it. After 2 episodes, I wonder if we are going to see something deeper than Maddie’s Jewishness, Cleo’s Blackness, and their identities as women in 1960s? Other than being a narrator, how’s the showrunner going to keep Cleo (and Moses Ingram) front and center after her death? Frankly, am not looking forward to see too much dream sequences, hallucinations and frequent flashbacks etc. Things can get muddled and confusing with this kind of storytelling. Link to comment
DanielleBowden July 23 Share July 23 I was losing interest but seeing Cleo in her blue coat pulled me back in. Watching the pieces clicking into place that would seal her fate was heartbreaking. Not felling Maddie yet, maybe she'll grow on me. 1 Link to comment
