Snazzy Daisy July 11 Author Share July 11 I like Sunny’s opening credit, it has a retro chic vibe to it. The opening scene is unsettling - a white robot killing a man. Then there’s a gossip about a politician fell down the stairs and a robot was involved. Evil robots! Suzie is using her dyslexia as an excuse not to learn Japanese. Maybe she loves staying in her comfort zone, keeping her distance from other people. Then a homebot is the right companion for her. Masa’s phone is still ringing, never goes to voicemail. Is he still out there, hiding somewhere? If this is a staged disappearance, why Zen has to be involved too? “Robots are expressions of their creators.” Mr. Yuki Tanaka (who delivers Sunny to Suzie) keeps referring to Masa in present tense. Does he know more than he leads on? Sunny manages to find its way back to Sakomoto house after Suzie left it on the bridge. How creepy is that? Is this series supposed to be a sci-fi mystery or a dark comedy? Am more interested in the mystery surrounding Masa’s disappearance than anything AI. I like the fact that this show focuses more on human aspects with loneliness and grief being the main themes. The earpiece that translates foreign languages in real-time is so cool! Is this a subtle product placement on what’s next from Apple? 🤨 1 Link to comment
chediavolo July 17 Share July 17 Why were those puppies in that room with the window? It looks like one of them was killed and dragged. Link to comment
