T Summer May 20 Share May 20 An anxious King James returns to Scotland for the first time since taking the throne, where he begins to act erratically and closed off from George. James’ behaviour drives George to befriend Earl Somerset’s cousin, Robert Carr, who helps George see a more human side to King James. Elsewhere, Mary teams up with Sir Edward Coke again to put in place the marriage of John and Frances. But a fired-up Lady Hatton does everything she can to avert the marriage, resulting in Mary and Lady Hatton going head-to-head. Bacon is forced to intervene and enjoys the opportunity to twist the knife further into Mary. Link to comment
