We know more about Colman’s personal past and trauma in this episode.

Sgt. Massey has ordered Colman to return to Dublin for breaking into Lorna’s house without a warrant and antagonizing her.

Lorna is now trying to dig further into her daughter - Agnes’ death, her grave, her burial record etc. She is unhinged - breaking into the county archives and stealing a bunch of records while being caught on CCTV.

With help from Michael, they cross-reference the stolen records with the death certificates and they find out that only 3 of the 298 children have burial records.

Colman learns from his adoptive mom that he was taken from the “Reject Room” and his bio mom’s name is Catherine Ivers. He visits the national archives only to find his own death certificate. He shows it to Lorna. Like Colman, Agnes might be alive too. A hopeful news for Lorna!
