Sure, today we'd say that Augie with his interest in studying dead birds is clearly a budding serial killer. But in victorian times? They would have gone "Oh the young master is interested in anatomy? He's clearly going to be a great doctor one day!" Even if he had killed them, and not just found them dead, like he said. Thus there would have been no reason for Lavinia to sweep the whole thing under the rug and no reason for Augie to push her down the stairs. The rest of the episode was treading water a bit, but it will be interesting to see what the connection, the Galanthi made with True and Malady, will result in. Link to comment
