Whimsy February 16, 2023 Share February 16, 2023 Jame Lynn Ruiz Age: 35 Hometown: Mesa, Ariz. Current Residence: Mesa, Ariz. Occupation: Yogi Three Words to Describe You: Enthusiastic, magnetic, loving Why do you want to be part of Survivor? I am a day one Survivor fan! We grew up watching Survivor as a family. Thanks to our VHS recorder, we never missed an episode! As a super-fan, it is a lifelong dream to be the Sole Survivor. I have learned a lot from the show especially that ANYTHING is POSSIBLE. What's one life experience you feel has prepared you for the game? My time in corporate America prepared me for the show. I spent over a decade navigating different personalities and building winning teams. Relationship building is EVERYTHING! Which previous player do you identify with the most? Who do you think you will play most like? I relate to Angelina – she is bold and brilliant! I think I will play most like Erika. She played such a high-level game! Her social skills and strategic relationship-building was amazing! What will you value in an alliance partner? I will value loyalty. I am looking for a ride-or-die partner! Favorite Hobbies: Gardening, yoga, cooking, golfing, hiking, reading, painting, swimming, writing, eating, laughing, meditating, catching up on my shows. Pet Peeves: Cold food, sound of the alarm clock on the iPhone (you know the one), the lack of potato chips in a brand new bag. What is the accomplishment you are most proud of? I am most proud of myself for having the courage to quit a 10-year career to follow my dreams. What is something we would never know from looking at you? People would never know that I love scary movies and grew up watching Freddy, Jason and Chucky. Who in your life is your biggest inspiration and why? My parents. They taught me to never give up and made sure I knew I could do anything I put my mind to. Why will you be the Sole Survivor? I know I will be the Sole Survivor because I will have built solid relationships with all of my new best friends! Relationship building is EVERYTHING. Link to comment
Guest February 16, 2023 Share February 16, 2023 Her social media backs up the super sweet, enthusiastic vibe she's giving here, though she seems perhaps a bit naive. She's not wrong about the importance of building relationships, but I wonder how serious she is about the "new best friends" bit. Curious to see if she 1.) keeps the sunny attitude through it all, good or bad, 2.) becomes embittered when her new best friends start to turn on her, or 3.) turns out to have a vicious, under-handed, silent assassin streak. I'm rooting for either option 1 or 3! Also, she likes Angelina and hates all the empty space in a new bag of potato chips 🙌 Link to comment
Guest April 14, 2023 Share April 14, 2023 (edited) This is wild and probably delusional speculation given what we've seen so far, but I was just thinking that all of Jaime's BING! magic wand confessionals would make a great post-win montage in the finale..."BING! I win Survivor! 😄" Edited April 14, 2023 by tracyscott76 Link to comment
LadyChatts April 14, 2023 Share April 14, 2023 I’m wondering if Jamie is aware her idol is fake. Brandon let the cat out of the bag to Matt last week so I wonder if Jamie has told him and Lauren, and Brandon let her in on the fake idol scam. I’m almost hoping it turns into a Jason/Eliza fake idol situation, where Brandon is on the chopping block, Jamie proudly states she has an idol and can save him, and when she shows him the idol he says ‘ya I’m more screwed than you realize.’ Hey, it’s no “it’s just a f****** stick” but it might make for good TV. I tried not to laugh at poor Matthew going from one extreme to the next when he thought he was in a great position and then in the next shot Brandon revealed the scheme with fake idols. 1 Link to comment

Imagine the contrast in reactions to the news that the idol was fake with Jason vs. Jaime. Jason [deadpan, barely awake]: Well that's a bummer then. Sucks to be you. Jaime [heartbroken, tearing up]: Oh nooooo!! I'm so sorry Brandon!! Link to comment

The lead up to this conversation: Jamie tells Brandon "hey, I'm the MVP, everyone comes to me and I know everything! Guess what I have an idol." Brandon: "Oh good, because this means you have the real idol and no one could have possibly duped you with the fake one that came with it." Edited April 15, 2023 by LadyChatts Link to comment
