Long Slow Exhale is 12 episode Drama Series set in the high-stakes world of Women’s College Basketball. Starting April 4, Spectrum Cable On-Demand will be exclusively airing 3 episodes a week, every week.

 

Long Slow Exhale will air for a nine-month exclusive run on Spectrum, before eventually airing on BET. 

 

 

Rose Rollins plays J.C. Abernathy, the successful head coach of a competitive women’s college basketball team who finds herself in the middle of a potentially career shattering sexual abuse scandal.  Sorting through the secrets to unravel the truth, she is forced to make decisions that will affect her, her family and the young female athletes that depend on her.

Ian Harding plays Eddie Hagen, the Assistant Coach of the Clayton Hall Cougars.

Josh Lucas plays Hilman Ford, athletic director of the university.

Famke Janssen play Dr. Melinda Barrington, Chancellor of the University.
 
Lyriq Bent plays Garrett Carter, J.C.’s loving husband, father of their two sons and hard-working real estate developer.

Shalini Bathina plays Emily, the Associate Head Coach on the Clayton Hall Cougars.

Gabrielle Byndloss plays Vivian, J.C.’s assistant at the Drake Athletic Facility.

Melissa Saint-Amand plays Claire Brockman.

Samantha Bartow plays Shannon Crawford, the star three-pointer on the Clayton Hall Cougars, who accuses Eddie Hagen of sexual assault.

Jazmine Stewart plays Verdell, a basketball player on the Clayton Hall Cougars.

Did anyone watch this?  I thought it started off okay. Was a little annoyed with the jumping back and forth timelines. Also, every player had some major issues which was a bit much.   But my biggest issue was that it just ended!  I thought there must be more episodes but that was it.  I'm all for using my imagination and not being spoon fed but there really needed to be at least one more episode to wrap things up and see if there were any consequences.  

I find Spectrum Originals to be very hit or miss.  I'd say this one leaned more toward the miss for me.
