I guess the pitch for sitcom nerds is it's Chidi and Gretchen in a long term relationship (that's ending). Both William Jackson Harper and Aya Cash are fantastic, though Harper's character feels more different from Chidi than Cash's does from Gretchen.

One way to read this film is that Sarah Bolger and Tony Cavalero's characters are in a more traditional romcom. Certainly Cavalero and Bolger are great in this film too; I hadn't expected to enjoy their characters as much as I did.

It's quite well written but it is super well acted.
