Cranberry September 20, 2020 Share September 20, 2020 I'm not sure how to feel about this one. I'm sure the writer was trying to make a point about how rape cases are difficult or even impossible to prove either way because they come down to "he said/she said," but even though the ending was technically left open to interpretation, I feel like we were supposed to believe that Alex was a dick but still the innocent victim of a couple of women pulling a scam. False rape allegations are so rare that I hate to see a plot with that outcome... I feel like it normalizes the idea that lots of women are faking this stuff to get back at men who they feel have wronged them. It's just not happening. I did really like the point about innocent people's lives being ruined based solely on allegations, and I'm also fine with ambiguous endings. I'm just not sure that rape was the best subject to use here. 5 Link to comment
