Margaret Lyons (of Vulture) tweeted on Tuesday that she didn't buy that a marriage like Kathryn and John's would blow up over a kiss -- which it hasn't, irretrievably, but even that she'd kick him out seems like kind of an overreaction. To me, they are both equally justified in being furious at the other; her going ahead with this book without talking to him is pretty bad.

Mr. Mason is very sweet, but I'm not really sure how Daisy turned into a character we're supposed to root for. Obviously you can't root for Ivy over her, but Daisy's been a sour jerk most of the time we've known her.

In the book, the impression I got was that Spademan was in his mid- to late thirties. I think I was picturing someone like Paul Bettany, probably partly because of movies like Priest, and partly because he kind of looks like Adam.
