I was always going to see this because the director of Happy Feet has my undying loyalty, but now I'm really going to see this.

I am just glad that Will Trent’s uncle is so far a decent dude.
Any doubt about Antonio vanished when it turned out he was a Tribe fan.

Lions sign Jared Goff to 4-year extension for $212m, $170m guaranteed.
Raise your hand if you saw this coming when the trade went down.

Astros option former MVP Jose Abreu to minors.
I love how baseball is both the most sentimental and the least sentimental sport.

Jontay Porter given lifetime ban by NBA.
The NBA had to make an example of this stupid, stupid young man. And while it's easy to drop the hammer on a 10-day player, everybody knows this is the line you don't cross in this day and age when gambling is legal.

If Anna Sawai is not nominated for an Emmy, just end the whole thing. Came for Hiroyuki Sanada, extremely happy to discover this transcendent actress. What a masterclass in acting with just eyes and facial expressions.

Liverpool and Arsenal both go down today (Bad week for Liverpool), is City going to be handed the title again?

Visually compelling (and loud). I like that Garland basically framed it as a war movie...that just happened to take place in America. The correspondent characters were a bit stock: Wagner Moura as the action junkie, Kirsten Dunst as the war-weary veteran, Cailee Spaeny as the wide-eyed newbie and Stephen McKinley Henderson as the old guard in for one last big story. But no fault on the performances, they were great. (Especially a cameo by Dunst's hubby, Jesse Plemons, channeling his inner-Todd).
They gave no context for the civil war or who to root for, other than pointing out that President Nick Offerman was in his third term.

I think Gunn's already said this is an Elseworld's deal.
That was something, alright. Why didn't they have any singing in the trailer? Cowards.

South Carolina is the new UConn and Dawn Staley is the new Geno Auriemma. She's built a monster down in Columbia.

We've actually got the best teams in the title game, Men's and Women's. It doesn't always happen, so I'm going to appreciate the moment.

Purdue's 83.3% of the way to duplicating Virginia's feat. Last one will be the hardest, of course.

A team that finished tenth in their conference, a team that would not have made the tournament at all if they hadn't won the ACC tourney is in the Final Four. I usually say that major conference teams should not be called Cinderellas, but I'm willing to make an exception for N.C. State.

Nice redemption for the Boilermakers. It reminds me of Virginia after they were the first team to lose as a #1 seed only to win the title the next year.

Well, that was a Clemson-Alabama game I enjoyed watching. I don't see the Tide beating UConn, but weirder things have happened.
-
I didn't expect Illinois to win, but I expected them to push UConn. This is what the Lady Huskies used to do to teams.
-
UConn looks tough, but I wouldn't be surprised if either Illinois or Iowa St gets them.
In a very chalky tournament, Clemson's a mild surprise.
