Yeah, the treatment that Whitney got in comparison to some other stuff doesn't add up. I don't know what happened behind the scenes, but her behavior was an embarrassment and got the team lots of bad press. Outside of the Zeke angle with Holly (he's already in the news a lot), I don't think most people would think that the stuff Holly/Erica/Jenna are said to have done is scandalous. I think lots of people assume that the players and cheerleaders date anyway. But yet, Whitney was put front and center (or may have already been there and stayed there- can't remember). She was definitely a fabulous dancer, so based on that alone, I had no problem with her at point, but if point is supposed to be someone who is an example to the team and has good judgment, she shouldn't have been there lol.

I think the racial stuff is just different for them. I have no idea why, but they put less inportantan e of being racially ignorant, and write it off as a learning experience.  Sorority girls all across the country can grasp the concept that stuff like black face and sombreros and mustaches aren't ok, but to be honest I am not sure that kind of awareness has trickled down to the types of circles the DCC runs in. So it gets a pass, because "they didn't know".

I am not even sure Whitney and others who have done similar are racist -- I do think they are idiots because at the bare minimum they do not understand social media and the impact of this stuff. But the DCC has decided that sort of insensitivity is ok with them.

Well the Erica news is interesting and sheds light on the hush-hush way they have treated her departure if true. Also makes sense that they won't air it. That's a lot of bad behavior from well-known, senior and popular vets in a short timespan and reflects poorly on K&J as well in some ways. They can't control how ppl behave, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have let a lot of bad behavior from favored or more senior cheerleaders go in the past. I may be off base and that may not be the case at all, but people tend to stop respecting rules when they're not regularly enforced or when slaps on the wrist are handed out.

Thank you! Everyone is wondering why these girls "risk it" -- um, because they could. Years of behavior going back to Tia and Tobie and I am sure even before that show the rules are either not enforced or just randomly enforced. Good god, Jenna has nine lives of "bad" behavior.

It's the same reason you drive 60 in a 50 -- because no one tells you you can't, or you just get a warning.

So congrats, Holly and Erica. You are the main characters in the "Kelli decides to be a hard ass for a change" plot line.

In the grand scheme of things, drinking under age, while yes breaking the law, is a completely 'normal' behaviour of kids in college.  Who here can hand on heart say that not a sip of alcohol passed their lips until the age of drinking in their country? However, I doubt many/any of us were also meant to be representing a team and/or sleeping around with a player who has his own issues off field AND were under contract to do neither of these things.   I feel for the girls really, because they're expressing perfectly normal behaviour and (bad) choices that we've all made and learned from. It's just their under contract to behave another way. I doubt I could have really done the same and I was an absolute goody-two shoes too afraid to say boo to a goose (underage drinking aside)

I somewhat agree -- I just can not get on board with the part where the punish a woman for sleeping with a guy with bad Character that they employ.

Three cheerleaders who slept with three players -- Paige, Jenna and Holly. Each were punished in a way that absolutely reflects who they slept with. Zeke is human garbage -- I agree. But it is pretty rich of them to fire her for making bad choices when they employ the asshole.

  3. I would also bet a paycheck that the part of the contract they address with Holly is being at the club, not fraternization. Because "Donestic abuser Zeke gets underage Cowboys employee drunk and has sex with her" isn't  it really a world class headline.

There is absolutely no way the show can ignore Holly's departure. They've showed her quite a bit this whole season and even more so this episode. She was called into the office for crying out loud. For her to just disappear at this point would be ridiculous and perhaps the worst story telling ever on a show.  I wonder if they will show Holly's departure but not Erica's because Holly has more fans and is more noticeable

I am sure Holly's will be shown because it makes K&J look good -- strong, tough, enforcing the rules (for a change).

Erica's won't be shown if it makes them look bad -- if Erica's was due to injury, it would garner sympathy for her and make them look like jerks.

I agree with all the posters who said that she didn't get a spot because of Jenna/Cersten/Robin. There is no other explanation and I kinda understand that they also consider looks and to have something that will appeal to everyone (which for me explains why Tasha and Kalyssa made the team over way way WAY better dancers). At least that means that with Jenna and probably Cersten retiring next year, she will definitely get a spot.

I understand that is why they did it, I just don't "understand it". Because it makes a tons of really ridiculous assumptions -- "Well, we can't have too many women of color -- not enough people may find them attractive."

What.the.hell.   I'm not arguing with you at all about their reason -- it is just that their reason is insane.

Hmm..Whether people abide by a rule or not doesn't determine whether it is one or not. I guess we can all agree that people break the rules.

And that rules are not enforced

They might say it's a rule. They don't enforce that rule.

Exactly. Kind of like how not fraternizing with players is a rule, until it's not. They all sound good in sound bites, and all are not enforced.

  8. I mean Shelly can say they have to be a full time student or have a full time job all day. It doesn't make it true.

it's weird to me people think this person who may or may not be Shelly is somehow 100% truthful. It's also weird to me that they think it is totally normal to lie about stuff that just is not true.

  9. If someone was a full time student, they would graduate in four years.

does anyone really think if Jenna or Cassie graduated college it wouldn't be on social medi? I mean come on, they came up with what was pretty obviously a manufactured moment to showcase Milan and her GPA. They are desperate to highlight something like that, because the truth is it is very few and far between.

i have no doubt they say it is a rule is sound bites because it sounds good. But it is not enforced.

  10. I feel like anyone who has ever gone to college and/or does math know they "full time job or full time student" thing is fake. If these girls were actual full time students you would see them graduate in four years. If these girls were graduating college, they would exploit it. That is what that scene with milan was. She was asked about it because they wanted her to talk about it on camera.

it's not a thing. And they crazy part is it is again a place where the screw up with the show -- talking about the girls getting together to practice during the day before practice. That is not a real thing if you have actual responsibilities.

  11. It's funny because what Kitty did tonight -- that is #coattails, Shelby. Someone clinging to old washed out past for their livelihood.

it shouldn't be lost on anyone that Selina with the "weight problem" is one of the few people on that squad workings 40 hour job. I know they claim they all work full time or are full time stud etsstudents but that isn't true. Most work way under 40 hours or are in school part time.

So Selena gets called out for weight and yet Stephanie looks about the same to me. Just my random observation.

    Also Tasha.

and is Erica in witness protection? What the hell?

Also, Keyra. There is one reason Keyra is not in show group. Or three. Jenna, Crysten, and Robin.

  13. I am one of those people well aware of the fact that prayer in the workplace is discriminatory and offensive. And in a real place, they could face legal action for that.

If you are world class, you are actually world class. Inclusive. Worldly. Not just "Texas Christian"

Imagine being Jewish or Muslim or anything but evangelical Christian and that happening. it wouldn't happen on many teams, and the fact they think it is NBD is telling.

Oh honey they in Dallas Texas the most Christian city in all of America according to Charisma magazine. I love it when people quote scripture. Especially on secular tv.

It is almost as if CMT is playing them -- is see that and it is so clear it is not ok.

I am sure they think it is ok but it totally shows how small town they are.

I want Brianna to go live a fabulous life. Poor child has been roasted on social media, but she really tried hard and was always polite. But it was like watching a kitten at a tiger sanctuary when she danced. We already have Yuko, we don't need another bland dancer.

Would have loved to see more of show group auditions. How did Tasha make it?

That veteran's hospital visit had me sniffling. Must be allergy season or dusty in here...

Shallow notes, Kelsey is gorgeous. Brennan needs spray tan or something. She's too pale with that blond hair.

Kalyssa is growing on me. I had no idea that would ever be possible.

My guess is Brianna will be more than fine. She is from Medford -- the type of life she likely grew up is the sort of thing lots of the other girls are striving and clawing for.  She will go home, everyone will lol about she spent that summer at cheerleader camp, and it will be fine. Medford is not a place where being a DCC is goal, trust me. I still think this whole thing was a joke that just went off the rails.

She had one little part of one episode of the Sopranos where she played Chrissy's goomah who strips her way through college and she takes mushrooms and screws Tony multiple times. She should be cringing about that instead and I'm a huge Sopranos fan. Is that one episode her "successful acting career" cuz I never seen her in any other role ever. She is not all that and a box of ziti thats for sure

Oh honey. No. That was not her entire career. She has been on Fairly Legal, L Word, Person of Interest. Actual quality TV.

I don't think Jenna threw anybody under the bus, nor do I think Erica quit out of protest or had anything to do with Jenna or Holly dating players and drinking underage (Holly) at +21 club.

They all knew what was going on with each other, but they're only to blame for their own actions. They're grown women.

Although more may be going on with erica than back injury, herniated disks aren't something you can always just 'fix' like a broken arm or sprained ankle. The impact of twisting, jumping, kicking, etc at the DCC level is just going to to reinjure disks over and over. Flare ups may subside, but they're just going to eventually come back worse with that kind of movement. Permanent back damage and possibly ending up paralyzed isn't worth cheering for one more season.

Then that seems like a pretty simple and interesting story line they could have addressed
