I'll keep quiet and take my shots since booze was about the only thing I could find at the store today.  Jesus, it's the end of the world, people!  I know this is bad, but who needs 10 pallets of toilet paper??? shit much?? Jeesh.

And I don’t think diarrhea is a part of this virus.

  2. I thought they were leading up to Erin has a brain bleed and needs emergency surgery and they rally round her at the hospital, maybe having St Patty’s Day dinner delivered there.  Did Jack call Nicky to come home and check on her mom?
If this show is wrapping up, would they get Jack and Erin back together, find a woman for  Frank, Danny and maybe even Henry? A baby for Jamie and Edie?

  3. So are Erin and Jack getting back together? Or has she just finally let go of her anger at him? If they are Sunday dinner will be interesting. It will never work though until Erin tells her family that they need to back off the Jack hate and treat him like they treated Linda and Edie. Jack has helped them out on several instances and was with Erin when she was shot. They all need to get over the past.

The dog thing was cute, but the Jamko part was dumb. Suddenly everyone in the precinct is fine and dandy with the two of them working together?

  4. Eddie trying to resolve things from the past. Does Eddie attend AA or did he just stop drinking on his own?. I would think if he went/still goes to AA meetings, he would have gone thru the various steps involved. Making amends etc. Having  an affair with your best friends wife isn’t necessarily a sign that you might be close to a slip (sip?), but he’s back hanging with his sister and Dakota, one “sober”,  one using and his wife quit her job, so money may soon become an issue. He may need to reinforce his resolve.

Why is Maggie doing therapy with Rome? I thought she referred him to someone else.

I think he just showed up, bearing smoothies, and started blabbing to her. She tried to cut him off but he steamrolled her. Plus she’s  as nosy as fuck.

So we see Eddie trying to make amends with Sophie and apologizing to Jon at his gravesite, totally grieving and feeling responsible (I thought David Giuntoli did a terrific job), but have we ever seen Delilah that apologetic or truly sorry for what she did? I don't think so.

I liked what Gary said to Sophie, but I wish he had said, "I hated what he and your mom did to Jon..." It's not all on Eddie, and I wish the show would remember that because I'm tired of Delilah's part in it getting brushed off as no big thing. As if Jon pulling away during their marriage was reason enough for her to have an affair and get pregnant with someone else's child.

Delilah just makes cutsey jokes about cheating and getting knocked up.

What’s with the ruffled blouses and pencil skirts on the egg headed Maggie?  I don’t know what is worse, the ruffles or the stupid knit caps. How they thought Mile’s was checking her and not Delilah out, I have no idea.

Rome's dad really, really bugs me. He's one of those guy's that's an asshole just on general principle.  It's amazing Rome turned out as decent as he has.

Rome’s got some asshole going on under the surface. I find a little of him goes a very long way.

Not only that , but the accused can show up without a lawyer or anyone else to do the inspection. Is he defending himself ?

A lot of things on this show don't make any sense but this has to top the list.

I think he may have been representing himself and that gave him the right to access Ed’s property. Regardless, I  would think the law would allow Ed the right to have a third party there or notice so he could vacate during the “inspection”  (Ed said he had agoraphobia and couldn’t leave his house)

Theo was introduced in the first season as experiencing night terrors, and, it seemed to me, had some pretty high levels of anxiety and other specific needs. I had the impression, certainly in the first season, that Theo wasn't very socially advanced for his age; it makes no sense to me at all that his parents are only connecting him with a therapist now.

My guess is that living with Eddie and Katherine wasn’t a calm peaceful situation. Maybe not a lot of outward fighting but plenty of silence and a sense of resentment. Kids pick up in that stuff really quickly. When my folks marriage was circling the drain, they tried to fake it, but I knew it was bad, I tried  lots of  ploys to make them spend time together with me, hoping they’d like each other again. Maybe that’s why Theo insists on his nightly cuddles. And why he has night terrors and other anxiety issues.

I also think she's depressed because she though once she transitioned and was finished with the surgeries life would be a perfect fairy tale. Welcome to the real world, kid. Now go to college or get a full time job and stop obsessing over yourself.

I do not believe Jazz is a perfectionist. A perfectionist would not wait until 2 hrs. before graduation to write a speech. A perfectionist would not wait until the last minute without having her cap ready. Why wasn't mama Jeanette asking her all along weeks prior if she was preparing for this big day?

If that cap is such a big fucking deal, a reflection of the graduate as a person and their future... why is she having her sister decorate it? That’s the one thing she should have done herself.,

The only saving grace was that she didn’t mention her vagina in the speech.

I’ve always found it hard to imagine Jazz going away to college.  She spends her days, in her bedroom, in her bed.  It’s as if she is in an insulated bubble.  The only way she could handle going away from home would be if her mother rents an apartment nearby and they live together off campus.

Jazz should have been in therapy all along.  She is a mess.   Now she’s 18 and they can’t force her to go.

And that “therapist” that just happened to show up at the right moment, played right into her poor pitiful me persona. She needs someone to tell her to put on her big girl pants and deal. Cut out the stuff that stresses you the most. All that pressure about college was self imposed. Make a decision  and tell your folks. She wants to be in charge of her own life, not make decisions based on “not hurting their feelings”.... then do it.

When I see Jazz sobbing into the camera about the pressure she feels to be perfect, I just want to give her a hug and tell her things don't have to be so hard. Everyone deals with insecurities, moments of feeling self-conscious, and the worry that our best effort won't be enough. Those struggles are natural and expected, especially for young adults Jazz's age on the cusp of the real world. But those struggles don't have to be debilitating like they are for Jazz, which I don't know if she fully rehers yet.

It is encouraging that she does seem to understand that her emotional responses are disproportionate to the situation. I assume that's what she meant by telling Deb that crying over the speech wasn't just "a moment," it was one in a string of such moments. I give Jazz credit for being honest with her family about how overwhelmed she is, though I don't think she intended to alarm them as much she did. The time crunch of revising her speech, fixing her cap, and dressing for graduation pretty much left her no choice but to ask for help. My fear is that acknowledgement of the issue doesn't correlate to resolving the issue, and that Jazz will continue to work herself into a tangle of stress and tears and accept that as normal for her, when it really shouldn't be.

It’s the pattern of her life. She senses now that she might no longer be the center around which her entire family revolve around. Everyone else has always taken a backseat to Jazz, everyone drops everything when Jazz crooks her finger and comes running to reassure her. I feel for her brothers and sister, playing second fiddle to her. And now that her transition is pretty much complete, she’s still craving the spotlight. I sense dad, grandad and sister are  pretty much over it.

  13. Granny stroking the brothers neck is gross.
Greg was smart to avoid it.
Granddad is right on and everyone jumps on his ass.
Even Phil Dunphy had enough of his oldest daughters bullshit and put her in her place when she got arrested a few weeks into freshman year. Someone needs to tell Jazz she and her vag aren’t the center of the universe. But wait, they’ve spent her whole life telling her just the opposite.

The shrink just happens to show up at the right moment.

So Lisa didn’t bother to dye her hair before seeing her boyfriend who is 20 years younger?  What is wrong with her?
Same for Ed who didn’t bother to either shave off the Grey beard or dye it.  Then he insists she be In Love with his lying a$s when she finds him way shorter and fatter than he’s represented himself. She’s out of his league looks-wise so he needs to lay low and see if his Sparkling Personality wins the day!

Edited to add: Usman’s roommates Give Me Life!  Those Nigerian Wingmen are no joke!

Why didn’t Big Ed get the shorter hair and less scruffy beard look that he had in the one  photo he sent her. Even if he’s a bit older, balder and grayer, it countered the neck situation. Watching Rose  pluck those bills out of his wallet and pocket the change.... nothing subtle there. She’s in it for the $$$. She got that same robotic voice and expression that Juliana has. She’s a cold one. If Ed should have a health crisis, I see her stepping over him, pulling the wallet out of his pocket and walking away.

Didn’t he have a phone conversation with Darcy in which he pretty much broke off the romance and said let’s just be “friends”? He bitched that she called him at 4 a.m. his time and sent tons of texts. How  is she now pretending that they still a couple.

OK, I did NOT want to watch the episode again, but I did want to figure out what happened.  So, I pulled up the transcript online and read the Frank scenes.  So, Mr. K was assaulted and robbed by Ryan Heide.  Ryan Heide was then arrested and charged.  Apparently, there is a law in place (whether real or just for the show, I haven't a clue) that states that someone accused of a crime has the right to inspect the scene of the crime in order to be able to prepare a defense.  This is how they knew he was coming back, exactly when he was coming, and why Mr. K had to open the door to let him in.

Now, I know that when there are domestic disputes and someone needs to return to a shared domicile to retrieve property that the police will come and oversee the process if there's fear of violence. So, I don't know why that just wasn't done here.  OK, I guess technically it was, but kind of off the books.

I mean, really, what kind of law would require that anyone, much less a senior citizen in a wheel chair, open the door to someone who had already physically harmed them, and require that it be done without police presence?

It’s always funny to me that all these people who had such an influence on Frank, or were his old partners or worked with him, just appear out of the blue, not having heard from him in years. Lennie pops up every few seasons but it doesn’t seem they keep in touch in between. Does Frank have any buddies, or is helping Henry with the crossword and having a few drinks every evening all he does? And damn they love their Finnerty ( is that a real booze?)even Erin and Nicky partake.

I’m more interested in how a detective can afford an apartment i Battery Park City/TriBeCa.

I think Anthony is a retired police officer (not sure of rank) who is now working an investigator in the DAs office.
I worked in County government in North Jersey and lots of our cops and detectives retired after 20\25 years on the job, collected a nice fat pension and free health care for life and then took jobs in the Prosecutors office(our version of the DA’s office) as Investigators at a salary equal to or greater than the one they made as police officers. It’s a loophole in the pension system that they take advantage of. So between their pension and the job, it’s not unusual for them to have an income exceeding 200k.

I'm one of the few people that doesn't hate Erin. But, she was absolutely insufferable and unprofessional at the beginning of the episode.  Not to mention completely unfair. And, why is she bankrolling Nicky?  Nicky moved across the country for a job.  If she wanted to help her out with some moving expenses, fine.  But, she shouldn't be supporting her. That's ridiculous.

I agree that Eddie's story was ridiculous.  She was lucky that her little plan worked the way she wanted it to. That could have really backfired on her. And, what if, I know this is a bit of a stretch, but what if the sergeant was recording her. She would have had proof that she accused Jamie of beating her!

Danny's story was good for once.  That was a fun twist.  Yeah, like someone else said, wasn't a very well thought out plan, but that doesn't make it unrealistic. Some people are stupid.  And maybe she only cared about getting him dead (punishing him) and not getting away with it herself.

I'm sick of Frank and mayors.

And, what the heck kind of allowance raise was Shawn planning to get that would even come close to paying for a trip to wherever Jack is, much less to SF?  He's old enough to get a part-time job if he's looking for that kind of money.  If we adjust my allowance (which I stopped getting at almost 16 when I started working) for inflation, he would be getting approximately $2.25 a week.  Hardly enough for these road trips even if quadrupled.

I hate it when people say crap like that.

It is a cliche, but the few times we’ve seen them together “the morning after” Erin acts like Scarlett O’Hara after Rhett carried her off to bed kicking and screaming. I’m kind of surprised Bridget Monaghan doesn’t argue against those scenes. She has to have some pull on the show.
I  actually like Jack, I think if Erin got off her high horse and stop expecting perfection from him they could have a good relationship.
