  1. Overall I thought it was fine.  But I felt like there was stuff missing.  I would have liked more of Nell and Billy to really feel her sadness at the end.  More with Roxy and her ability to sense things would have been good too.

Kai could have been interesting, but her character arc seems to be as a potential antagonist to John without much explanation.

I'm hoping it's a case of believing her team is dead.  Like Ackerson told her the others stayed to defend Reach or died there and she needs to be the new face to inspire the troops like Master Chief did.

  3. Really hoping for an S4.   The cliffhangers sucked (only because I have to wait for resolution).

I will say I could have done without the Ah Sahm/Yan Mi pairing as I didn't feel it added anything.  There was enough tension between the various principles that a love story wasn't necessary.

Though I think Mayor Buckley doesn't deserve nice things, I did feel a teeny bit sorry for him knowing he was getting played.  Then I remember what he did to Penelope Blake and any sympathy dies.

Of all the dynamics on this show, one of my favorites is between Ah Toy and Ah Sahm.  I like how they've grown into friends and genuinely seem to care about the others well being.

Are American TV shows that prevalent in Venezuela?  I've watched a fair number of British cop/procedural TV shows and movies, and I wouldn't know what number to dial for emergency in England.

    From https://www.gov.uk/guidance/999-and-112-the-uks-national-emergency-numbers

999 and 112 is the national emergency response service in the UK. 112 is the pan-European equivalent to 999 and can be used in the UK.

I'm fairly certain I learned about 999 from tv or a movie a long time ago.  I wanted to see if I remembered correctly and found out about 112.

The only negative of this episode for me was Alex and Cassandra.  I still absolutely hate how this woman calls her "Jane".  Even as a grown middle-aged adult, I never call the parents of my friends that I grew up with by their first names.  They will always be "Mr." or "Mrs."  This woman is 23 and because she is an adult, she thinks that gives her the right to call Jane by her first name?  Jane is her boyfriend's mother, show some respect.  The fact that she thinks she is adult so they are on equal footing really indicates how wrong this relationship is.  I noticed they specifically said that Alex is 18, but he's still in high school!

Jane really should set the ground rules, starting with calling her "Ms. Tennant".  I half-expected Cassandra to tell Jane that she forgot to pack pajamas so found "this old rag of yours in your closet and didn't think you would mind if I wore it".  Ugh.  I'd kick her out of the house so quickly.

Being 18 and in high school doesn't bug.  It depends on when his birthday is.  As for the rest, I agree.  It disrespectful to call the parent of the person you are hooking up with anything other than Ms/Mrs./Mr/Whatever until you are given permission by that person to do so.  Alex is also being disrespectful if her being there is against the rules of the house.  Yes he is an adult but he stated he knew the rules.  If he didn't like them, he should have acted like the adult he wants to be treated like and talked to his mom about establishing new rules/boundaries.

Take last week - Rose and Christian got engaged but are they no longer engaged?  And why did Rose say it'd be a marriage of convenience only?  The two already had sex. Why should their marriage (if it's still "on") be only in name?!  Lastly, there was an episode a while back where someone went through records looking for all Moroi with "enough" Dragomir blood and Christian wasn't on the list.  But miraculously last week he DID have enough Dragomir blood?!!?

Yeah, Lissa kept stressing it was an MOC.  I think it was a mix of it not feeling real to her, especially with Rose not being part of it, and her wanting to not pressure Christian if he didn't want a real marriage.  As to the blood, a comment was made that the list Lissa was given was of who the Royals would find it acceptable for her to marry.  The added names were "tainted" in some way.  Like Christians parents being Strogi.

Overall I liked the series.  As usual, our heroes have to make dumb choices to get the story moving.  And I don't buy the great love between Rose and Dimitri.  Still, I'd watch a second season.

  7. Delurking to agree with the praise of the movie.  It was fun and enjoyable.  While I do enjoy the comic book movies, I need more variety.  Worth a watch (or two).

@StatisticalOutlier if you haven't seen it already, Marry Me is worth a watch.

  8. Though Griff probably would have, I didn't like Sam taking full credit for the technique.  I have also decided I don't like any of the residents except Dr. Trullie.  Actually, about the only characters I like are Sam, Lex, Donna, Malcolm, and Lex's new boss (Vega?)  So about half the cast.

This is a great example of a gag that did not land AND went on far too long. I think it would have been amusing as a short gag but, as long as it was, it just came off as stupid and boring. Also the entire undertone of "Look at these cute animal astronauts. When we're done with them we just leave them in space to slowly starve to death" was a BIT off-putting.

I probably would have bailed during the first episode, which was pretty unfunny. I stayed for Lisa Kudrow and was disappointed. This show is probably going to do well enough because people are bored, restless, angry and looking for something funny and light. Unfortunately this isn't that I think.

Maybe if there's a season 2, they'll bring her back older. I think it could have worked if she'd been 18 or 19 (and slightly more mature). I honestly couldn't get past the creepy Russian Captain giving a 16 yo girl booze and then pawing at her. It was just too much CREEP! Fortunately they ditched that story pretty fast but I wonder how it made it to air at all.

They actually stated in show that she is 18 but a junior in high school.  I agree that she came across as a tv typical 16 year old.  I was hoping, with the brief glimpse we got of her at the beginning, she wasn't going to be so immature.

Overall I liked the series.  But I do feel it could have been funnier.

SInce when does having the Power of Three mean the sisters can shoot blue lightening bolt energy out of their hands? They didn't have that before. How would they even know to do that?

I believe it was Macy who mentioned it was a power upgrade.

Word.  When we didn't see her body floating off into space, I knew she couldn't possibly be dead.  So yes, exactly like you said, what did happen to her?  She took off her helmet and her space suit, somehow doing that when she could barely move due to the vacuum and feeling like her head was going to explode.  And she got back into presumably one of the same cargo containers that she was in during a previous episode?  How did that cargo container make it from that area that was open to space and on to the ship with the kids?  Or is it as simple as Smith putting the ball and bandana in that cargo container and leave it there when she walked off the ship?  There was that scene where she was in the cockpit and she told the robot she had been practicing and could fly the ship.  The robot said no, and then we saw Smith walking off with her bag and I think that's when she went to help Maureen.  Did Smith actually grow a conscience?

I really didn't understand the Scarecrow robot.  Scarecrow was not the SARS robot, right?  But clearly Scarecrow or his kind were evil robots.  Why would Robot want to help him?  Just because he's a fellow robot?

Will be interesting to see Judy's biological dad and the interactions between him and John.  Not sure how they'll get all the adults to reunite with the kids, as they are being chased by all the alien ships and the wormhole is closed.

I really hope if there is a Season 3, Dr. Smith does not return.  Ugh.  There really is no way that she could have survived.

Scarecrow was not the SARS robot.  But the ones attacking were not the same as Scarecrow.  It seems to me that there are different robots, so some bad, some good.  The ones attacking were silver, Scarecrow was gold, Robot was black.  So yeah, maybe they are allies, or on the same side in a robot war.

Penny and all her stuff still bore me.. So I kinda skipped chunks of her stuff

I like Penny but we really don't get to see her "do" much.  I think they showed her in the last couple of eps having ideas and stuff, but she often is sidelined in favor of Judy and Will when it comes to the writing.  I also feels she's treated more like a child then Will even though she's older.

Well it'd better be a good reason because there's almost a hundred of them crammed into one space RV and they piled on in a hurry so I don't think they had time to bring lots of supplies. And I don't imagine they're going to go back to the colony in the first episode of season 3.

It was stated in an earlier ep (maybe the one before this one?) that the Robot was able to locate a signal that was the same as a Jupiter.  The humans assumed it meant Alpha Centarui so that's where they headed.

This is where it ended for me. The Smith character is so unwatchable that I was fast forwarding so much that I gave up.

I will watch next season if there is one but only if that character is written out.

Yeah she is too much.  But the last five eps are good. Despite her.

  14. I liked the show.  I really liked the flashbacks to John/Judy.  The scene where young Judy is giving a speech about her hero (her bio-dad) and John is all proud, then his reaction when she flips and also claims him as her hero?  TS really sold that.

I was amazed at how nice of digs a court reporter and legal aid defense attorney were able to rent.  I know it's tv, but that would be a pretty expensive place.  And is it just me, or are they maybe setting something up with the court reporter and Judge Lisa?

I was wondering as the show progressed if they were going to set up the court report and the judge.  Then after Judge what's his name gave the warning to Lola, I wondered if they were setting up a sexual harassment story with the Judge.  It would be interesting to have the story be between two women since it's usually a male/female.   But it would have to be handled carefully.

But the next scene he orbs outta there... As for mel and Maggie.. They were further away and already going to the portal... And up until I guess next week when they tell her... Abigael doesn't know about the assassin being harry's darklighter

Macy did ask but we never saw the reply.

  17. I think this whole season was a bit rushed.  But I think the finale helped set up a lot of potential for season 2, so I will be checking it out.  Hopefully they stick more with the magical aspect.

Was it my imagination or did the finale imply that Harry had romantic feelings for Macy?

And at least we established Ed is not a creep! He and Kelly are a thing past, future, and alternate time lines...he just needs to get them together in the present, tho I hope they leave that alone for awhile (if show is picked up).

Actually we established Ed is a creep...or at least creepy.  He stated he looked up Kelly a dozen times over the past 7 years.  And he stated he tried repeatedly to get in contact with her even though she never returned his calls.   They went on one date.  One.  Years later they get a sorta second date and he proposes marriage?

Alright, fine, I ship Lucy/Wyatt. I resisted, but its all over now. That trunk scene was just too cute. But, damn, will people just stop interrupter them! You wouldn't think time travelers would have such bad timing.

See that scene had the opposite effect on me.  Any openness I had to Lucy/Wyatt officially closed because the actors, for me at least, are just not generating the kind of chemistry to convince me they are attracted to/in love with each other.  *shrugs*

Shades of the "Farscape" season 4 finale. I also thought this show wasn't coming back just before Wil woke up in the demon world. I thought that Spike was burning off the episodes as well. This series has radically changed from the books. I didn't like how Eretria gave in so easily to the evil inside of her since she kept saying how she would fight it. Nor did I like the way Eretria introduced Wil to Lyria. The introduction was so low-key especially after Lyria asked Eretria who was the Wil she murmured in her sleep. So, Allanon has trouble fighting the Demon Lord, but Mareth could practically hold her own against him in sword fighting? Mareth is in love with Wil? Which relationship is this show going to use as endgame?

I hope this show comes back and is not cancelled because so far, I have enjoyed the seasons. These last two episodes were pretty good but went by so quickly.

I had a problem with both the romantic relationships this season.  I liked Lyria but never felt the connection or chemistry between the two actress that convinced me they really did love each other.  As for Mareth and Will, I swear they were going for a sibling vibe until someone commented on the way Mareth looked at Wil.  And up until the last ep I would have sworn Wil didn't feel anything for Mareth.  If anything, I kept getting the feeling Eretria and Wil were going to hook up again, or at least start down the path to hooking up.  I haven't read the books so I don't know endgame couples.  Still I'm hoping the show isn't canceled.
