  1. Bob Whitfield for the win. Running to cover up Kairo's bare chest? Hysterical.

Well, being that House Grump carries banners for Klan Burress-Tucker (which does NOT include Mama Joyce), we're glad Phaedra's web of lies is starting to give under the pressure. Only wish that Kandi had pushed a little harder. I'm tired of Phaedra's fake ass; she is due for a comeuppance.

  2. This show! HAHAHAHA!

It's exactly what I needed in my life. Ridiculous and campy!  I love it so hard. No WAY should they adhere to real life rules; no rules allows for hysterical plot twists!

I have enough reality in my life, sometimes escaping to a crazy world where the King of England is a flamboyant evildoer who trashes his family on late night talk shows is just what the doctor ordered. Yes please.

I wish there was a campy show, like this, on every night of the week.

Holy shit!  You got that right.

It is sort of a whitewash attempt with the whole unnecessary drugs thing.  Because he was a huge drug user and fried a part of his brain.  And they tried to medicate that problem and by everything that I heard he got addicted to some of the  meds that he didn't need and that he also then stopped taking the ones he did -- some kind of mood stabilizer and anti-anxiety pills.  He went off the deep end about the time that the first season filmed, lost whatever sinecure he still had in The City and was shipped off to Mapperton to be tucked in a corner.  His younger brother is apparently the one the parents now rely on and have for a while in terms of making business decisions for Mapperton.  Julie to my knowledge is not and has not ever been involved as the current Earl was and then when Luke could only maybe wrap things in the gift shack and shake hands and walk the tables during catered meals/events, they turned to the brother's contacts which include a firm that helps run large houses/properties as a consultant.

The blame was never put on Luke officially though I think there are plenty of credible sources out there if you google enough.  But his drug abuse and the permanent effects were known well before they trotted out the whole poor Luke is a victim aspect.  He ran with a rather nasty crowd, not the party type set that Phlegm likes to portray herself as being a part of, but the ones that dabbled in behavior that was more than just racy (heavy drugs, sex rings in N. Africa etc).

    Holy tea! Thanks!

The fishing trip did not sound like much fun to me but it looks like they are going to have a really good time.  I do think that Caroline S painted herself into such a corner with her comments all evening that she couldn't go on the fishing trip even if she wanted to.

I bet she'll regret not going on that fishing trip when she's cooped up in her Dubai compound, because she doesn't want to follow "the rules" of her new hometown.

Is it me or is there something "off" about JUB balls husband? I almost feel guilty asking, like is he sick or something? I have empathy for all of the Mapperton drama because I feel like she is a one woman show in that duo.

You're not alone. I wondered the same.

On another note, Julie may be right: those Mapperton workers (except for the butler) don't seem fond of her -- which probably makes her nervous, which results in the manic behavior. I have sympathy for that.

I get that not everyone likes Lisa, she has her downside/bad points but this notion that she manipulates the other HWs (are they all that stupid/gullible?) into doing/saying things they would never say/do IRL and that she is also now able to do it to viewers as well is BSC IMO. LOL If you look closely at each and every HW, across the franchise, if they return for a second season you will see that they all play the HW game, including Lisa. I guess this is what ticks me off, it seems that only Lisa gets accused of doing it and that just isn't true. Last season, the biggest manipulator on the BH show was Eileen and she out maneuvered, out manipulated them all, including Lisa! So, IMO, Lisa isn't the worst of the bunch, that would be Eileen at this point. Hell, even Brandi out maneuvered Lisa her last season, as did Yolanda. In fact, I have yet to see/hear or be given an example of Lisa talking any HW into doing something against their will, something they did not suggest doing/saying first. LOL Lisa's big bad ability is to let each HW hang themselves with their own ideas/words. LOL

See, I guess this is where these conversations breakdown, because its about perception. Examples people give for Eileen being manipulative, I just don't see -- at all. But, for me, it's clear as day, with Lisa. I guess it's just about who we all are. Not everyone gets along, and we see people through wildly different lenses.

Right, Lisa has all of us hypnotized! She is really the master of manipulation, so much so that everyone, you as well, that watches this show absolutely loves/adores her if your assessment of her "Svengali" abilities are at the level you claim ! LOL

LOL. It ain't that serious. But I do find it hysterical how LVP fans freak out if you mention LVP's obviously calculating asshole nature. And for the record, not everyone is "taken in" by con men and women (i.e., Svengalis)...just like everyone who takes a Scientology personality test doesn't get roped in to the cult.

Narcissists tend to attract cult-like supporters, who become useful "flying monkeys" when necessary.

LVP is the L. Ron Hubbard of the Real Housewives Universe. Down to the fact that her followers scoff at the notion that LVP could have svengali-like manipulation skills -- just like Scientologists scoff at the notion that they're brainwashed -- (all the while not realizing they have fallen under the spell, too).

I figured out who Dorit reminds me a bit of: Brittany Murphy,  the actress who died too young.

Me typing "a bit of" reminds me of Dorit's accent and the fact that I am married to a Brit and have often picked up British terms although I shudder a little when Americans say "cheers" (as a thank you) "my flat" and "spot on".   My husband and I often didn't understand one another when we were first together so I learned to say "TwenTy" instead of "Twenny" and he lost his accent to the point that his own countrymen cannot pinpoint his accent origin.  So I suppose I could be accused of "putting on airs".  Like many other commenters, I am a language chameleon and will pick up people's accents, especially when out drinking cocktails with them.  It is so comical when I do this that my friends think I'm "taking a piss out of them" when I just simply cannot help myself, I adore accents! With that said, "Cheers" (in the American sense)! ;-)

Yes! Dorit does look like B. Murphy. (Since you have a skill for this, can you figure out who Juliet from Ladies of London looks like? It's driving me nuts!)

I know Rinna isn't popular around these parts but her saying how her phone autocorrected Dorit to Dorito and then seeing her munch on a Dorito made me bust out laughing.  Both my phone and I would do something like that.

I oftentimes will eat with a salad plate versus a dinner plate, especially if it's just me, but those portions of veggie pasta did look tiny.

I still love how Rinna calls her husband by his full name.  It just tickles me for some reason.

Dorit's party kicked the crap out of Erika's "little" party.  Looked like fun.  Add me to the list of people not that impressed by the rose gold car.  However, PK's speech to her was really nice and seemed sincere.

Eileen was stunning.  She absolutely knows how to dress to the nines with style.

I think if LVP's comment about Vinnie having his head up someone's skirt had come from Rinna or someone Eileen was chummy with, she would have laughed it off and taken it as a joke.  But when a borderline comment comes from someone you aren't exactly friends with, it's harder to take it in humor.

I too was wondering why Arizona didn't work out for Alexia.  Boston is far away but doesn't Kathy live in NY?

I don't mind Rinna at all. She's harmless. A little too obsequious for my taste? Sure. A little too "hooked on Oprah" -- (you know the type)? Sure. But she doesn't seem mean, and that goes a long way with me.

I don't think she had time enough to "survey" viewer reactions to "craft" her blog. I saw what she did and why she did it last night during the episode and posted about it last night and her blog only confirmed it. Oh, and they have to turn in their blogs for "editing/screening" before Bravo posts them. More than likely, she sent them her blog right before or directly after the episode aired.

I think the ladies have the day to put final touches on their blogs. That's why they include references to the actual episode editing. Plus, if they were all in-hand before airing, they'd go up immediately. But they trickle in. But, let's say you're right: Lisa's blog was "in the can" before the episode aired. Her explanation is still shitty as all get out. People are supposed to be over those games by the time they hit their 50s. That's some teenage crap, right there. Just be upfront, leave the pettiness behind, and act like a grown ass adult.

"Yes, I was wildly inappropriate in a jesting manner when I uttered the retort to Eileen regarding Vinny, most definitely a retort to see if we could actually go a whole season dwelling on something I had said...but I think she was wise to me. She knew I was looking for a reaction, and she wasn't going to give me the satisfaction of rising to the bait. Goody, maybe there was hope for us after all. Maybe we could indulge in playful banter and relax a little."

I call bullshit. This is revisionist framing on Lisa's part. She's surveyed the reactions, and then crafted her blog to frame it like she wasn't being "petty", but instead cleverly "testing" Eileen. Either way, ew.

I'm no fashion expert, obviously, but I love LisaVP's look.  I look forward to seeing what her look is more than any of the other women because she has her own style and she takes risks.  Like those gloves she wore at Dorit's party with the big fake diamonds on the them.  I think you could argue successfully that they belonged in some 7 year old's dress up box but they were different and unexpected much like Lisa herself.  Also the hat she wore when she was riding, a new one on me.  I've never seen a wide brim like that on a riding helmet and it would not be acceptable in a show ring but I guess if you're just trotting around on your own horse for you own pleasure in sunny CA it makes sense.

I'm going to speculate that one's opinion, of LVP's style, may depend on age. Like, for older heads, like myself, there is nothing unique about Lisa's look. We grew up surrounded by that aesthetic. So, to us, Lisa looks stuck in fashion time warp. But, if you didn't live through that time, perhaps her look is something new to you?

  14. Also, if the dress code really was "stunning," LVP failed so hard. I mean, I can't stand her, but credit where credit is due: in past seasons, she usually looked fine. But this year!? It's like she's had a psychotic fashion break. That blue taffeta getup she's wearing in the talking heads!? She looks like the embodiment of a Long Island mall, circa 1989!

Erika in her blog said Dorit asked for something stunning.  With her hair and her make-up and her on-point fashion sense she delivered.

I find Erika way too confident.  Her hair looks like a cheap Halloween wig, her make up applied with a palette knife and the T-Shirt was hideous, show off her not so fabulous heavy kneed legs.  Here it is-it can be yours for $448.00.  https://www.moschino.com/us/minidress_cod34648816gj.html?gclid=CNX2muiv9NACFdQvgQod41wFSQ&tp=47300

I gotta agree with Erika on this one. If you're going to use "stunning" as the dress code descriptor, expect a diversity of interpretations.

F Erika and her label obsession.  Just because something is designer doesn't make it appropriate.

Totally get what you're saying -- and agree to some extent. Label / name dropping is gross. Even though I tend to like Erika more than not, the label brag was gauche.

That said, her comment didn't bother me as much as it normally would. I guess because all the women are constantly talking about the "Beverly Hills lifestyle" and seem to embrace the abject materialism of it all. Erika's comment fit right in with that mentality. It was no different than Kyle driving around her new Lambo or talking about buying a plane or Lisa bragging about having 15 horses. It's just who these people are.

As an aside, Erika is such the Moschino girl -- very much like the "Guess" girls of the 1990s.

Eileen, please, give it up! For the love of everything holy, give it up! We, we'll definitely, I don't care if Lisa VP apologizes to you because she hurt your tender feelings months and months ago in an off-handed manner.

Move on. This is getting boring. Well, it certainly bores me.

And from where I'm sitting, LVP is the one who continues to poke the sleeping dog awake (looking tacky AF, doing it).

Her facade is certainly slipping. And as one of the few people who has never liked her, it's kinda awesome to finally watch.

I never liked Caroline Stanbury in Season 1 or 2. And I really don't like Juliet.

Yes, Juliet worked my nerves, too.

She reminds me of someone, but I can't place it! I spent the whole episode wondering, "Have I met her, or something?" She seems like Caroline S's flunky.

Given how weird some Brits can be about status and the aristocracy, I wonder if there is a smidge of jealousy behind CarolineS's and Juliet's "heathering" of Julie.

  19. Phaedra's staged paparazzi run-in, at the top of the episode, cracked me up! Phaedra is just so extra.

Mama Joyce is the Meghan Edmonds of ATL, (I like Meghan, though) -- hunting down the deets. Phaedra is the Lisa Vanderpump of ATL. (I DON'T like Vanderpump.) Both Lisa and Phaedra are pathologically phony and manipulative. Phaedra seems crazy shady, to me. I wouldn't be surprised if she played a part in Apollo's schemes, to be honest. I also wouldn't be surprised if they don't get divorced. (Or, maybe they already have divorced? Who knows.)

I'm nervous about her association with BLM. It's too important a movement to become fodder for a shady Phaedra story line.
