  1. Late to the discussion - just watching this season. Glad to see Billy Lee get some of the spotlight: his relationship with Washington was unusual. Lee accompanied Washington throughout the Revolution (he's included in at least one portrait of the general), and was the only slave Washington specifically freed. Lee was provided with a pension and a place to live at Mount Vernon in Washington's will. In his biography of GW, Chernow cites some arguments between the two (Lee wanted to go to New York City as butler during Washington's first term, Washington thought the job would be too tough on Lee, who had damaged his knees badly in various accidents), and contemporary rumors that Lee was Washington's son (maybe, maybe not) so the interactions in this episode seemed plausible to me.
  2. You and me both, cousin. The only other possibility I can see is Tyrion, and he's too smart to want the job.
  3. Was that only an hour episode? It seemed like it went on for half a day, at least. No Eric, not much Bill, Pam's Moroccan Excursion seemed shoe-horned in, Tara getting staked off-screen...a mess. Sookie continues to drag down every scene she's in. I did like Jessica and Andy's surviving daughter, though. But I've watched it this far, I suppose I'm in until the bitter end.
  4. The same way their ancestors build a 700-foot tall Wall of Ice that's stood for hundreds if not thousands of years? The same way Dany feeds her growing armies? There are a lot of details that are best left unexamined in this world. Was this the first Tyrion-free episode? I'm getting whiplash from jumping around the various points of view. I liked the amount of attention the raid at Craster's Keep got, but the Brienne/Pod and Hound/Arya scenes - they could have used more screen time. Glad Ghost is safe, but what about Summer? And the actor playing Bran has aged much too fast - isn't the character supposed to be younger than Arya?
