  1. While the cliffhanger was a little over the top, I actually think the ending may have signified Owen and/or Teddy leaving. Winston mentioning he's not the only cardio surgeon meaning the only way to build romantic tension with him and Jules is for him to be the only one. Teddy being so antsy being around Owen, like she was itching to get away from him and the hospital. Owen telling Teddy she made history with the surgery, which would give her grounds to work anywhere else (Hell, maybe she'll go hang with Burke and Christina). This didn't seem like just the end of their marriage but maybe the end of their characters. Maybe Teddy or Owen were in the room near the explosion. I don't know what the writers would do with Owen if Teddy left, so I feel like they both have to go together. His character seems kind out of gas. His story lines are only about his feelings being hurt, him self-righteously chasing some goal, or his bad relationships and it's been that way for years. Also, if Teddy dies, Ben gets to stay at the hospital and I doubt they're writing out Ben and Bailey. My guess is Ben's behavior would cause more story tension if Bailey were the chief and had to deal with it. Not to mention, the show is pretty expensive now and getting rid of a few leads would decrease costs, so I'm sure they're going to kill someone. My money is on Linc, Teddy, and/or Owen. Also, they really have to cut it with the Richard's takes something Meredith or Bailey does personally. We get it. Meredith and Bailey are surrogate daughters for him and they see him as a father figure. But even if they were his kids, they would still have jobs, lives and dreams of their own and this is like the eigth time they've done this story (the second time this season with him arguing with Meredith about Catherine).
  2. Thank god, I'm not the only one. There's no tension or much chemistry there. They're boring, but I guess they just wanted to give Jo something to do after Alex left. Just put Linc back with Amelia. I'm still mad they ruined that relationship in a way that made absolutely no sense. (She doesn't want to get married, so they both now want/have to break up?! WTF?!)
  3. Adams and Griffith have only known each other less than a year!? That means it's been less than a year since season 19. Wow. That's some crazy time scaling, young and the restless, dynasty level stuff. Also, I don't remember Winston's dad being that bad. He was emotionally distant and vaguely emotionally abusive but I don't remember him being as bad as the dad in this episode. Maybe I'm forgetting...
  4. I'm surprised Lucas didn't think to hold back (though he could've just been too excited about his news) given she ran away from her life with the fiance and later, ran away from the wedding. The writers seemed to imply at least that she didn't run from the wedding because of Lucas, but because she was unsure about the fiance/the life she ran from and Lucas inspired her to re-examine those feelings. I just can't imagine pouring all that out to her given what we've seen. Their relationship is kind of odd. It's like they care for each other but they don't know each other as deeply as they should. Maybe we're meant to assume they don't? All of their conflicts (outside of the patient they tried to save) have been from misunderstandings. I do wonder how long they are supposed to have been dating in Grey's time because I can't imagine it's real time. Maybe a year, year and a half?
  5. Owen and Teddy give me a headache. Everytime they vaguely get stable, one of them has to ruin it (though that's Teddy more often than not). Owen secretly assisting patients commit suicide. Owen running between Teddy and Amelia. Owen sort of running between Teddy and Christina. Teddy naming their kid after her girlfriend. Teddy cheating on Owen repeatedly with Koracick (including on their wedding day). Teddy almost cheating at the conference reminiscing about the ex-girlfriend. Now she's opened the relationship solely to get her rocks off and because she was unhappy in the marriage and has the nerve to get angry because he actually went through with it. They are both pompous, competitive with each other, impulsive when their feelings are hurt or unresolved, and are two of the few on the show who regularly lash out at others at work because of their personal mess. But, Owen usually can at least make a choice and stick with it. She's exactly like him but is indecisive and angry at every one else because of it. Even if she doesn't like that he went through with HER opening of the marriage, she cheated with Tom a million times in the most disrespectful ways and he forgave her! So insufferable and entitled. Owen and Teddy were supposedly best friends. They have barely acted like it since she left the show the first time. Weren't they introduced as some kind of dark George and Izzie (best friends with one longing for the other)? Is this what George and Izzie would've been like if they got and stayed married way too long? I thought the show realized that was a bad idea. Sorry for the raging stream of consciousness, but why can't they get hit by a bus, have a helicopter fall on them, get stabbed chasing a predator, or die in a plane crash?
