  1. His claim that he was unaware that the 1st skater "was too young to provide consent for sexual acts" is total bullshit because if there's one thing everyone in this sport is aware of it's everyone's exact age. That's what determines when you can compete at various levels and at certain events.

It is called "strategy," NOT collusion.  And it is good to see human beings caring about each other instead of backstabbing all the time on a reality show.

I just hope those of us that don't get to fill out fancy network surveys get our voices heard when we say we LOVE this comradery and strategy on The Amazing Race.  It is a major part of what puts that AMAZING part into the Race and makes it so special.

This is not a reality show where it's who gets a rose or who can bake the best brownies. It's a RACE and unlike most other competitive reality shows, the order of finish matters - first wins, last gets eliminated. I have no problem with teams having camaraderie with one another but when one team is actually doing the challenge for another team, it ruins the race for me.

Just my opinion here, but there weren't really any good strong teams.  Sure you had Danny and Angie but they were mostly concerned in making alliances than winning.  Leticia and Rod, Vinny and Amber all benefited from Angie and Danny's help.  The firefighters didn't know north from south.  The pilots also didn't navigate well.  The rest were weak. I'd like to see this season's winners go up against really strong teams.  Now let's see what happens!

You don't think Ricky and Cesar were a strong team? They aced almost every challenge and even the one that took the longest (windsurfing) didn't damage them too much.

There's speaking it and knowing it. Getting an A in high-school for Spanish/French is different then growing up with the language spoken in the household. Jaun knows it but he probably grew up in a house hold where the parents telling them to speak English, while it may have been the opposite for Ceasar.

Speaking the language of the country you're in doesn't help at all if you suck at challenges or working together as a team.

I'm sorry but I'm in the camp that believes Ricky and Ceasar has had an advantage since 90% of the season was in Spanish speaking countries.

Several teams have or had one Spanish speaking member - Yvonne, Juan, Vinny (sort of.) Hell, even the first team eliminated had one Spanish-speaking member. Maybe Cesar is more fluent than some of the others but that's not the reason they're doing so well.

There just seems to be no there there this season…

I had a similar thought while watching the latest episode.

  7. I would put last season in the top 5 of Amazing Race - probably #2 (because nothing can beat the pure pleasure of season 1.) I would put this season way at the bottom, just above season 8, the dreaded Family Edition. I'll watch to the end because I want to see who wins but it's one season I know I'll never watch again.

We will agree to disagree since I call it cooperation and collaboration for an alliance.   Like the NFL player in that alliance said.  You play for the team and everybody has their strengths and duties to do.

Except that, on Amazing Race, a team is two people, not six. An alliance is a benefit on competition shows where you can get voted off, but the beauty of Amazing Race is that it was  NOT a popularity contest, it was pure race and the team who did it best came in first, and the team who did it worst got eliminated.

I call it cheating!  For a team to basically do the puzzle for another team is pure cheating!

It's not cheating if the rules allow it but it's really dumb. When you're in a race for a million dollars do you really want to assure that other teams are right next to you on the mat? Sometimes it makes sense for two teams to cooperate on one task but to do this on every task on every leg of the race makes the race somewhat less than amazing.
