  1. Lucas is boring. He was exciting and mysterious in season 6. Then they neutered him to fit Elizabeth. His story in season 9? Going to oil meetings. Exciting stuff. And they tried to make him perfect, especially with Jack. This is a guy who showed little to no interest in Little Jack or children to suddenly becoming a great dad. You can't tell me there was no struggle? Then that scene where he is throwing the ball in the class with the kids? Trying to make him into a discount Jack. Jack always went to the schoolhouse. And baseball was Jack's thing. Go back and watch the seasons with Jack. They are trying to copy that now. They said Nathan would have been a repeat storyline but it's Lucas.
  2. Anyone find Lucas boring now? This was the guy who had a gun in his safe and money hidden under fish. Now he is pulling a wagon and going to oil meetings all the time. They did a disservice to his character by putting him with Elizabeth. At least when he was by himself he was a lot more interesting. He needs to be with someone like Fiona. Side note: is anyone listening to deck the hallmark podcast? They are watching all the seasons and reviewing them. It's pretty fun to listen to.
  3. I still think it was a missed opportunity to not put Lucas and Fiona together. Their relationship would have been exciting
  4. What a terrible finale. Why does Nathan always have to go find Lucas to talk him out of leaving. Glad Rosemary is pregnant. No love for our Mountie
  5. They have lost about 200k viewers from last season. Thry aren't getting two viewers for every one lost. Their viewer demo is way down which is weird because they said that chosing Lucas would bring in that key demo. It costs a lot to make. From a business viewpoint, it would be wise to pull the plug.
  6. I wouldn't be surprised if hallmark pulled the plug on this show. The writing has been awful the last two seasons. Hallmark green lit a new series. Maybe they want to start fresh in 2023
  7. Nathan needs to go outside Hope Valley to find a woman. These are the two picks: Mei. She has the personality of a tree. They decided to go all Heartland with her being a horse whisperer. They also dress her in immature closing. Faith: better than last year but also a boring character. Might be suffering from Florence nightingale effect. She thinks and calls Carson still but now has feelings for Nathan. She also is Elizabeth lite. Seems like a nag. Fiona would be fun but I doubt they'll go that way. There's also Molly but she might be a little old for Nathan.
  8. If Jack were alive, she would go back to him. They were married. Also, Elizabeth is just "moving on" with Lucas. JMHO
  9. Is there a pool going if Bill will survive past this season? From the next preview, it looks like there will be a fire at the saloon. What if Bill goes in and after the fire is put out he starts coughing and falls to the ground. Screen goes black and we don't know if old Billy makes it. I'm saying Bill doesn't make it
  10. Was it me or did the I love you's from Elizabeth and Lucas seem void of any emotion. Maybe I'm setting my standards too high but when Jack and Elizabeth said I love yous in the mine, it seemed special. This did not feel special.
  11. That's how the show ends lol. Everyone dies from TB.
  12. I guess since I don't have a hard on for Lucas, I see this was a messed up situation. If Lucas was truly innocent, the evidence would have proved that. But they didn't go this way because the writing is lazy And don't worry, the boring Mei will be back in episode 12.
  13. But why did they have to do at Nathan's expense? This whole storyline could have been written a different way. Elizabeth was a bad friend last season. So now it's Rosemary's turn to be a bad friend lol
  14. And apparently Lucas is untouchable. Nathan doesn't get any justice for the guy who hit Newton and gave Nathan a head injury. Sometimes I wish Nathan wasn't so nice and told Lucas to go get a lawyer.
  15. Glad Rosemary is pregnant. People are getting slapped on this show now?
  16. Looks like Elizabeth and Lucas will be engaged at the end of the season. It won't top Jack's proposal.
  17. This show probably should have ended after Jack and Elizabeth got married. They could have done Christmas specials once a year; Christmas with the Thornton's
  18. I guess Elizabeth is Lucas's passion. He stayed because of her. He said that she is his adventure. A lot of pressure to put on one person. What if the adventure is no longer fun? Terrible writing this season and last season
  19. Has anyone noticed that Elizabeth's relationship lucas is deep as a puddle. They're so boring. I thought people wanted them to be together because it would be more interesting. Instead we get these weird fish kisses and Lucas saying flowery crap to placate Elizabeth
  20. She has the newspaper. Oh wait, she already worked at the newspaper in like season 3 Plotline black hole: how does Mei, who is a pharmacist know how to teach Newton how to heal? She's like Lucas who suddenly knows how to ride a motorcycle and fly a hot air balloon
  21. Looks like Rosemary will find out she is pregnant or they'll rip the hearts of viewers and make it one of those false pregnancies.
  22. This whole Lucas and fake ledgers are stupid. I'm not a Lucas fan and even I know he was set up
  23. They make single people on this show desperate on this show, except Bill, Molly and Fiona. Nathan got his heartbroken not too long ago. A new woman comes into town and just like that his heart is healed. Faith was in a long term relationship with Carson where they almost got engaged. But just like that, she is hopping on the Nathan train. Mei, who was still trying to get out of a messy relationship all of sudden gravitating towards Nathan. Faith should be focusing on her private practice to get that damn x-ray machine. Mei needs to figure out her drama. And Nathan needs to do Mountie stuff and be a father to Allie. But this show has always been hooking up single people right away. Look at Elizabeth. She loses Jack and 9 months later she is flirting with two men with a baby on her hip.
  24. Mei leaving town without saying goodbye to Nathan? Rude Faith/Nathan/ Mei triangle? Ugh. No thanks Walden storyline. Confusing and boring Lucas sleeping over at Elizabeth's? She would have been the talk of the town in the old days. Washing machine? Looked like was plugged in. When did they get power? ?
  25. The scene with Lucas and Jack singing happy birthday is cringe. Chris looked awkward. Plus there are like 500 candles in that room
