  1. I too have never gotten the impression that Michaela is strictly a gold digger, in the sense that she is just looking to link up with a rich man and that is it. She actively discounted the idea of being a housewife when she was talking with Connor about the all the ways she could reinvent herself if they were caught for Sam's murder. I can't see Michaela as the type who doesn't want to have a high powered career. She is ambitious and she wants someone as equally ambitious as her. Now granted, I don't see her in a committed relationship with some poor man, but I also don't see her dating a man ONLY for his money. She seems like the type who wants to make her own money, but also wants to be with a man who makes his own money.

The Caleb connection is just bad news in my opinion, mainly because he still hasn't been cleared in murdering his parents, and he is at least shady. At a minimum, he hid knowledge of the gun, and who knows what else he is hiding, or if he is in on whatever Catherine and Phillip have going on. If Michaela is right thinking (and judging by the flash forward to Murder Night, I question that), she would have run screaming out of the house when Caleb showed her that gun. If for no other reason, than he conveniently waited until AFTER they had sex to mention something he has known about for at least a week. But she should also be wondering if he is playing her, because it is highly suspicious that he would innocently stumble upon the gun. If she believes him unquestioningly, I will have to give her some side eye, because I can't imagine the sex could be THAT good, that she could throw away her better judgment (though you could argue she already did that by sleeping with him in the first place).

I agree. She's definitely a Type A - Ambitious. I think winning is her goal. Though the events of the show has distracted her. I believe before she basically all about winning at any cost. Handsome, rich, connected husband = win. The student who knows all the answers and impresses the teacher = Win. Getting the best grades = Win. She's evolving (not in a good way) in the boyfriend area. But again i think the chaos of life is knocked her off her game somewhat.

  2. Ahh, "Badge" -- Davis was not only a mother trying to keep her kids in private school, but a multiple murderer who took out an entire family and calmly vacuumed up the carpets afterwards. That scene you posted, if I recall correctly, was D'Onofrio trying to manipulate Terry Randolph (Davis) by being the exaggerated version of a New York City cop that she hated -- tactics Annalise employs herself now at every turn. That Law & Order ep is a treat -- giving a hint of just how talented Davis is.

Except I can see one of those CSI-types finding some kind of parking garage residue on her not consistent with the residue in the driveway (or some kind of bug that didn't belong -- they were always finding those, too), indicating the body had been moved. Could dropping her off the balcony be an attempt to obliterate the evidence, making it harder to find prior injuries? Or something?

Ah, yes! That's the episode. I have to watch again - and soon. I remember she was ruthless but didn't remember the exact murder. Perhaps, saying Goren "respected" her was not his total reaction. Moreso, I think he was impressed with her, along the lines of - wow, if only she had used this intelligence for good...?? Like I really need an excuse to watch the talented Goren and Miss Davis again!

  3. I know this show is over-the-top and absurd, but I just love it. There are crazy twists and turns and all of them are horrible people but I've grown to find all of them interesting (well except Wes).

I'm with you. I love this show. Maybe because I've been watching too much American Horror Story: Hotel - there's no way HtGAWM has gone too far...I'm excited that we get another mystery with this Wes thing.

This is the only show this season that hasn't disappointed in some way. I love the fact that we see how human Annalise is, while also seeing how ruthless she can be. She was losing it, but still you can see the brilliance, even as she was getting creepier and creepier. (Unlike Olivia Pope, whom Scandal has ruined for me).

Connor STFU. That was so low what he said to Michaela and Annalise. Wes the only one he doesn't give shit to and Wes is the one who did the actually killing.

This show is making my moral evaporate. I literally *cackled* when I realized that Asher was just sitting there with Sinclair's body under his car like highway roadkill. It was so surreal and Bonnie's calm demeanor like it was an everyday thing for her to find bodies under her boyfriend's car. LOL. I still want to know just what made Sinclair want to go after Annalise so bad though. I thought they would give us a specific reason.

SN: I had a flashback when I saw Viola in those braids. I became a fan when she guested on Law and Order: Criminal Intent back in the day. She was a single mom trying to keep her kid in private school. She was remarkable with her Vincent D'onofrio. She was one of the few suspects that Goren seem to actually respect. She gave him such a run for his money. But apparently she didn't wear braids in that episode - so I have no idea where that memory came from!

  4. I hope they finally get Adam out of the cage.

    Who dat?

:) The show sure forgets a lot of plot points, including people, huh?

I can't say I liked this one.  Amara is still too young for the vibes between her and Dean.  And the idea of God having a sister and having to lock her away in order to create the world and humans is just dumb.

    All of this.

Especially the icky between Dean and Amara who didn't look much older than 12 year old Amara. I really hate what the Angels. And even "Gawd" has become on this show. At least she's not the Almighty's wife.

One thing I do like: Is some consistency (a miracle on spn!) with Dean being "chosen" in earlier seasons and Sam having this overreaching destiny. I have to review but there was that season 4 episode with the pastor's daughter thinking she was psychic and Someone had to be chose to be able to defeat the big bad? And Dean wa able to do it? Like I said I have to rewatch it. It's all muddled from season 5 but I'm okay with them rebooting that theme. Just keep each brother with something to do.

  5. The movie Sorority Row did this so much better.

I really enjoyed that movie! I have low expectations for horror realised in the last 10 years or so though. They totally copied that with a little House Bunny (Hester in a neck brace ala Rumer Willis' character) for good measure.

  6. The Good:

Chanel's "eulogy" (Bitch-eulogy?) and that whole funeral mess. Chad being the only one grieving for Chanel #2. And reaching for the coffin as they pushed it down the aisle had me rolling.

The 2 seconds of the Eyecandy that is Earl Gray

Jamie Lee Curtis is just great no matter what.

    The Prune-X dream was hilarious

    The Bad:

    tumblr_nvgpppwKDR1u9e89no1_500.gif

Only 2 mins of Chad total?? That's never okay.

Implying that Chad could be into bestiality. I mean he got over the dead body thing. Let's not pile it onto my beloved, okay?

Only 2 seconds of the Eye Candy that is Earl Gray

Could have done without Feather and the old guy kissing. ew.

They are circling the drain with the Hester plotting to kill Chanel #1 every week. And I thought Chanel #5 Quit - like 5 times before?

    The Ugly:

    NO Denise.

    NO Red Devil

    Not enough Zayday

TOO much Grace and Pete. That kiss was sad. I realized that "Pete" is actually attractive. But in any scene with "Grace" I don't notice it. I blame Grace because Pete actually was really good in that scene where he & Denise were telling the history of that house. He must be in on the killings or otherwise his character would be a fail.

They should at least have the redeeming quality of being good detectives. But, no - it's sad how easily manipulated they were. The Paint lady was a major clue they just had no curiosity about.

Overall, I love this show. But was disappointed in this filler episode.

  7. I think it's probably true that Annalise doesn't know where Rebecca is. She would make sure Frank wouldn't tell her.  Yes, she knows she's dead, which is a huge lie of omission, but in technical terms, she doesn't know where Rebecca is.

Also Wes is the worst.  You killed someone!  While helping some mopey girl you were in love with after 2 minutes steal something!  Hypocrite!

I hope they don't kill off Oliver.  I like him.  However, if he ever did find out what Conner was really involved in, he'd end it.  I'd rather that happen, actually.

Laurel is still boring.  Laurel and Frank together are also boring.

    Amen to your whole post!

LOL, this show is so damn good, we even question the authenticity of the cobbler.  I can't stop laughing.

OK, so I would qualify myself as technologically challenged, so here goes, how the hell did the aunts son gain access to Oliver's computer? What on earth is going on?

And Frank/Catherine, was it me or did they not show her knocked out in the back seat of his car AFTER he showed up at the hospital faking concern for Anna?

Damn that was cold and haunting the way he just calmly walked out of that hospital.

So the scene with him placing her down in field/graveyard, had to happen after the hospital scene right?

I only ask because in real time they showed the scene and it looked like Anna had not yet been shot nor was she even at the mansion yet.

This show has me is such a state that I even questioned whether Frank hired those people to pretend to be his family, LOL, I can't. The whole time I was like is this really his family?

Yes, this show is damn good because I'm thinking the same thing! I was so taken out of that scene that I had to have an explanation for how bad it was. It was the same stereotypical "Italian Family Dinner Scene" we've ever seen on TV and Film. I'm hoping the writers are better than that.

  8.

I would prefer more storyline and less shock value. Gaga and Co. like to have sex and slit throats. We get it. We don't need to see it every episode.

Very well put. I just watched the first episode, mostly in anticipation of seeing Angela Bassett in episode 3.

What a mess. I'm seriously mad at myself because I have to keep watching to see what happens with the cops son. I thought Gaga did a good job - she's definitely not Madonna (who can't act for some reason). What things I did enjoy were overwhelmed by all the TRY HARD. Shock just because you can shock is not effective. For example, that moment when Donovan's Mom pushed Sarah Paulsen out the window and the sound of her jaw breaking, oh man - that was shocking becuase it was unexpected and therefore, effective.

I'm pretty sure the notes on Wes Bentley's script said "We can't afford Jake Gyllenhaal so compy his role from Prisoners" - if you have seen that movie you know what I mean. Similar type of character minus the family.

  9. It was the piano piece at the end

Yup, last scenes with Elliot and Tyrell.  I couldn't find a clip of it, but here's what the piano piece sounded like.

Thank you so much bros402 and Human!!!

  10. Oh, I'm so "brilliant." I heard the cover of "Where is My Mind" (gorgeous, by the way) and thought--"HEY! I KNOW that song!" Uh, yeah, from Fight Club, dope!

Funny, now that we know the truth, I'm sad. No more guessing, no more theories. I hope something huge happens next week. I'm looking forward to next season now.

At what point did this song play? I went back to the cemetery and train scene and did not hear it. I just binge-watched this show over the weekend and I thought it only had 9 episodes. I was pleasantly surprised to find out there is a 10th. Hopefully I'll be able to watch it live.

I'm still digging Elliott's voiceovers. I loved it when he was all "YOU KNEW, didn't you?" "You're Going to Make me Say it, aren't?" when he was freaking out And he looked quickly at the camera - aka at the audience/the person he created. I'm not sure if that was scripted, or Rami Malek's decision, or just a camera angle trick, but I found it very effective. Also, that moment when he asks the girls "What is he talking about?" is heartbreaking, because it was clear he knew the answer but just hoped, against hoped he was wrong.

I'm so happy Elliott, Tyrell are interacting again. Although, this is a tricky one for Elliott. Who wants a confessed killer around their sister and friends? I noticed he said it was only him. So what will he do when people start showing up for FSociety duty?

  11. Did we get a solid idea of what grade the kids are in? If not, I'd wager they're either sophomores or juniors, making them either 16 or 17. If that's the case, at least we can take solace in the fact that they were born in the 90s. Still doesn't really explain why "Daisy" was dressed like Debbie Gibson at the high school dance, but whatever. Maybe Lakewood is like Canada, and the late 80s didn't arrive until the mid-90s!

I thought it was a Costume/Halloween dance? She was dressed up like Like A Virgin Madonna. Which still doesn't seem right for that era.
