CNN somehow obtained security video from 2016 showing Diddy assaulting Cassie, exactly as she had described in her quickly-settled lawsuit. The hip-hop community is calling for his head. Which considering how much misogyny has been tolerated and even encouraged in hip-hop is really quite extraordinary.

    Hopefully, he's finished.

As @merylinkid said this one was caught on tape.   I have hard time believing the hip hop community didn't know what a monster he was.   We all remember Ray Rice the Baltimore Raven who was accused of punching his wife in an elevator.  The NFL and the Ravens organization knew and was poised to let it slide till there was video of the assault released.  It's a fucking shame a woman's account of what happened to her isn't enough for people to believe her.  Guess we know why Diddy settled so quickly.

Everyone can be offended, but that was/is his belief...and his right to speak about it in the context of some women looking forward to a new career/job, while others might be looking forward to marriage and babies.

Why must everybody find something so benign so offensive? It's not as if he said every woman should stay home and have babies and never have a career. Enough with cancel culture!

For the record, I'm a boomer and wasn't the least bit offended. Stuff like that goes in one ear and out the other. It's not worth getting upset over someone's belief. We're all different. And he's not physically hurting anyone. We all can't think alike. It's human nature.

My opinion was wrong place wrong time.  Those graduating women just spent a lot of time and money to get a degree and he is telling them he thinks they will be better off forgoing a career and finding a husband and having kids. This wasn't just his opinion for his family he thinks this should be the norm. And I won't even go into his remarks referring to LGTBQ.

As was this 55 year old.

I think more people were offended than those not offended.   However the ones not offended seemed to have went and bought his jersey.  Meanwhile hopefully Taylor Swift is writing a song.

The flag code says that upside down is only used to signal "dire distress" and "extreme danger", so using it to indicate a political viewpoint dilutes and confuses the original intention.

The thing is there are people who in fact who think different political viewpoints is dire distress and extreme danger.

Yep my team has to do that.  One good thing at least the games are in the same time zone.

Hmm, I wonder where Taylor Swift will find the inspiration for her next series of songs.

I'm guessing if there is a wedding that guy won't be invited.

The Bennifer stuff probably is true since TMZ is reporting on it now. But suuuuure Sunny, everyone is just jealous of their epic love.

If they had such an epic love would they have married other people and had children with those spouses?  I always thought it was shitty for the media to play into the whole they are each other's soulmates when Ben was married to Jennifer Garner for a long time and had three kids with her.  So Garner was just a placeholder?  J Lo has had lots of soulmates I suspect.

Don't forget Amazon Prime.  Nothing yet for Paramount, but I'd bet on exclusive Paramount Plus or whatever in an event something outstanding takes place.  For instance, Sony's purchase

Paramount Plus already has the local game of subscribers.  Last year one Sunday my cable was out so I streamed the game.

Damn.  The antitrust rules need to be rewritten.  Putting games on ESPN and TNT was the first step down the slippery slope.  Then NFLN, then Peacock, and now fucking Netflix.

I bring this up every time a new streaming service gets games.  My coworker like millions of people doesn't have broadband in his area.  And he sure doesn't have Netflix.

Have you seen Ghosts?  It's a US show based on a British comedy and I just discovered it last year.  Sharp writing and characters you really care about.

I love Ghosts. I've watched it from the first episode.  The writing is top notch.  They still surprise me.

Hacks on HBO Max with Jean Smart is excellent. Third season started a couple weeks ago. What I like about this show is you aren't meant to like every character.  You can but they aren't written to be loved or hated.  They are just written well.

Speaking of problems, it may appear that the Steelers schedule is a glorified pile of CRAP so far as of this minute

Opening game is in Atlanta.  I hate playing in that dome.  I remember losing in OT in the dome.

  11. I don't always get the NFC game of the week in my area if I do it's usually on the same time as my team's game.  If I do get the game if it's a game that has teams that I think will make it a good game I will probably watch because good football is good football regardless of who is in the booth.  My biggest problem with Tom Brady in the booth is Greg Olson will not be in that booth.

The first Monday Night game of the 2024 season will be Jets at 49ers. How exciting. 😒

Basically, it'll be a root for neither type of game. The only reason that I will ever root for the Jets this upcoming season is to see them & their idiot Quarterback fall flat on their faces week after week.

I can only imagine it's because Aaron Rodgers is the Jet's QB.  Wonder if he will make it through this primetime season opener.

  14. I remember there was a soup company that used to do commercials with football players and their moms. Those didn't bother me. But for some reason Mother Kelce doing things on her own bothers me. I guess I just don't like her.

Our current family doctor doesn't routinely schedule annual physicals but our previous GP did. I suspect the change in approach may be, at least in part, down to how much busier GPs are now as opposed to even just a few years ago.

I think most doctors who are prescribing you meds request to see you once a year. At least that is what my GP tells me.

One time when a doc asked me "and how do you know you are not pregnant," I responded with because I hadn't had sex in the last 6 months.  The nurse got a chuckle out of that one.

A couple years ago my gyno asked me if I'm sexual active.  I told her no.  She asked me why. I said because I don't want to be.  I think she felt bad for me but I was like trust me I'm happy with my life.

My mom takes all of her prescription bottles to every appointment and gives the nurse the bag.

There is a sign in every doctor's office I have went to that says that but I'm not carrying around a bag when I know they already have that info. Every other nurse in every other doctor office is fine with reading the list to me except for this one particular nurse.

Where I am they weigh you and take your height at your physical but not at any other time (unless there is a very specific reason for it, I.e. pregnancy).  What a time waster for the nursing staff otherwise.

I don't remember where I heard it but someone said they need your weight if they are going to prescribe medication so they can get the dosage correct.

I've heard that weigh-ins in other countries don't occur every freaking time you go to a doctor without a reason. It's unnecessary but staff don't know how to cope if you say "nope, not doing it" because the sacred forms must be filled in.

There was one particular nurse at my GP's office that always wanted me to recite my medication list.  I know what I take but I don't have the dosages memorized other than once a day or twice a day. I don't know the milligrams.  I would tell the nurse I know you have a list on that tablet you are holding so why don't you ask me if I'm still taking those meds.  She would say you have to tell us which I knew was bullshit. Lousy bedside manor that one.

I got told allergies were all in my head. As women, we were all told it was in our heads.

A book was written about this.  It's called All in Her Head by Elizabeth Komen.

If the genders were reversed, and some 50-something year old dude were making comments like that about a twenty-one year old girl, people would be icked out.

When Sherri was a cohost on the View she would act thirsty over male guests and a lot of us here would say if a male host did that there would be calls for him to be fired.  I don't know if it's just her schtick or she really is that way but it is not funny. And Sherri calling herself Auntie while lusting after Gabriel is gross.

I can't even imagine Sherri condoning another woman acting like that about HER son.

Sherri is always going to have a problem with any female interested in her son.

It is creepy as hell that Sunny brought shirtless pictures of her son to Sherri's show.

She didn't.  She said the producers got the pictures off of his social media.

Even so Sunny seems proud she has a hot son.  I mean I get being proud you have an attractive son but according to Sherri Sunny gave the show the pic and if it was me I would have chosen a different pic.

Yes, I meant settling like my Mother.  She settled with a man she didn’t love.  She was miserable her whole life.  Actually, I couldn’t sleep with and have sex with someone I didn’t care for.  I guess some people do.  Not saying it’s wrong, but just not for me.  I’m sure lots of times it is necessary for some people.  I would never judge, as I don’t know the situation or the people.  It’s not my business anyhow.

I think it depends on what a person wants out of the relationship. And what the other person's expectations are as well.  As I mentioned my relative cheated on every husband.  Pretty sure her husbands weren't expecting that. I wouldn't say I settled when I married my husband.  But if my son (from a previous relationship) hadn't started looking at him as a father figure I probably would not have married him. I would have been content to just keep dating him.

  22. As far as settling goes I think some people just want to be in a relationship and they take whatever opportunity presents itself.  I have a relative that has never not been in a relationship since she was 14.  She isn't that attractive and not the nicest personality and she always cheats on her husbands so I was always puzzled by her always having a man in her life until another relative said look at the men who have been in her life.  And then I realized oh yeah she was settling for those men. I would rather be alone than be in a relationship just for the sake of being in a relationship.
