  1. I usually can't stand her because I find that smile so creepy (makes me think of the smile painted on the claymation The Little Drummer Boy), but she showed in the Hawaii movie where she was left at the alter that she can actually act without that smile. Hopefully she does the same here.
  2. I just finished watching When I Think of Christmas and one of the first things I noticed was this was the first Hallmark Christmas movie I've seen where the house was decorated like a real home would be. Plenty of decorations, but no garland around every window, door, and banister and not every surface was covered.
  3. That's a top 5 Christmas movie for me. I agree, it's one of the better quality Hallmark movies. (Not all my favorites are actually good.)
  4. Just finished Reindeer Games Homecoming (Lifetime) and loved it. I'm a fan of Sarah Drew and she wrote this as well as starred.
  5. Christopher as rancher in this one. In the US it ran on UPtv. And, yes, it has the requisite shirtless scene, this time in just a towel.
  6. This interview with the writer of both programs discusses it. https://tvshowsace.com/2022/09/23/john-christian-plummer-hallmark-francesca-quinn-pi/
  7. While I agree with you that if your end film is going to be nothing like a book, just call it something else. But there was a really interesting podcast with Paul Campbell. Toward the end they talk about Moriah's Lighthouse and he talks about various obstacles they encountered that continually made the film stray further from the book. It's Technically Romance (w/Paul Campbell) Definitely worth a listen for the Paul fans.
  8. Bunbury is from The Importance of Being Earnest. Not sure if that was intentional by the writers or not. It fits in a reverse way -- she went bunburying in the US.
  9. As mentioned above, it was A Love to Remember and aired on UPtv. It's a 2020 movie. It starred Rhiannon Fish, who was the lead in Hallmark's Journey of My Heart. I find her charming, which was the main reason I really liked ALTR, but I still consider it a poor man's WYWS. It took a lot of effort to buy into the fact that she could never find a time to tell anyone the truth. But if I could ignore that, it was really enjoyable. There was more humor than the average Hallmark movie.
